Battlefield: Bad Company 3

A third installment in the Battlefield: Bad Company franchise will happen, creative director Lars Gustavsson told reporters at a Battlefield 4 event, clarifying that it won't happen immediately because of the recent spate of newly announced Electronic Arts DICE-developed titles.

"My feeling is that I would love to do it. For me, when we started the company with 1942, it was really a work of passion," Gustavsson said. "And then we worked our way through the era of different wars, and I loved them all, like my little babies. When it came to Bad Company, it was creative freedom; don't take yourself too seriously.

"So I love it. I want to see it again. Whether it can happen

now with the newly announced Mirrors Edge 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront... but we'll see," he said, referring to the new DICE-developed Mirror's Edge 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront titles that were announced for next-generation consoles during EA's E3 2013 press conference in June.

"But trust me, the Bad Company [team] isn't forgotten, they are just on a very long vacation," he continued. "So they are out there, they're coming back."

I've never had the chance to play any of the Bad Company games, but from what I've heard the games are extremely fun and there are plenty of fans out there that would love to see Bad Company 3 happen.. and it looks like it will.

Yeah it was basically a watered down version arcadey version of Battlefield. The maps were still pretty big, but there was no prone, and very little of any bullet drop. The auto-spotter scope was insane.. and the magnum rounds option in your load out was basically the stopping power perk from early COD games. I personally thought the Vietnam DLC for BFBC2 was amazing. Hill 137 on Rush took everyone's breath away the first time you advance and see the burning hill of ash. Its one of my favorite maps of all time.

It would be a stretch with Battlefront now in their line up, but it might also be good. I'd rather see a 3 game roation between BF, BFBC, and SWBF.

Never got a chance the play BC2 but I did play the original and loved it, some of the best fun I've had with a multiplayer game in recent years (not the mention the single player campaign for the first one was fun as hell with a lot of quirky humor thrown in). Would love to see a BC3 (thought that means I need to get off my ass and get BC2).

I never played BC1, but from what I've been told the humor was toned down a lot in BC2. The solo campaign was still great, and the story was pretty awesome too. Way better than BF3's campaign that I never finished XD.

Any campaign from any shooter is better then BF3's campaign was, I was sorely disappointed with the entirety of it (and I actually beat the damn game). If felt like a rehash of COD4's story, just done worse. That sucks to hear they toned down the humor for BC2, that was one of the major selling points for the first one (for me anyways). Going through a major firefight and hearing your computer buddies making inappropriate jokes always cracked me up. Plus the ending always makes me laugh (I'm honestly surprised they're not in a military prison at the beginning of BC2 after what they pulled).

I added Bad Company 2 to my wishlist on steam so I'll know when it goes on sale. I wouldn't mind playing it just for the campaign. BF3's campaign was not impressive. I beat it, but I didn't really care for the plot or how the plot was presented... and with that being said, that campaign was still better than Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Medal of Honor: Warfighter. I've beaten all three and BF3's was better.. yeah..

I didn't mind BO2 campaign. I guess since I had some emotional investment in the characters from BO1. Same goes for MW3's campaign. If you didn't start out in MW1, your investment in Soap and Price is detached.

Yeah.. thats what my brother told me. I never played the other games so I didn't see what the big deal was when things happened to the characters. ^_^;

God I really want MW3 only to see what happens in the end since I've played the other two, just couldn't justify buying it since I didn't have the money at the time. Now I just won't buy it due to my hatred of COD. Never beat BO1 so I don't even know what happens in the end (I'm on the last level but the night I was in the middle of it my father had a medical emergency so I had to drop it, haven't gone back since).

It might still be in the redbox. The campaign is worth the $3-6 keeping it for a few days. The ending is epic.

The one thing I did like about BO2's campaign is you could choose your load out before each mission. That was a nice improvement. And it was nice to use the RPD again, even if it was only in solo campaign.

That was a nice feature... just about all other FPS campaigns just stick you with whatever the story provides or what you might pick up. The variety of the possible load outs on the BO2 campaign was significant. It could be interesting to play it again and run shotgun most of the game. :P

I never played BO1 so I was lost in terms of characters just like MOH.. I wish sequels would give us a simple 5 minute recap video of the previous games for new players. They could throw it in an options or settings screen so its out of the way. I'd have looked on youtube, but everyone posts the entire game or segments. I just want to see a 5-10 minute highlight reel, not watch someone play for 8 hours. :\

I'd really like to see the next BF take place in Vietnam. Black Op 1 tried to do this, but it seemed more like Modern Warfare with dated weapons. The BFBC2 really captured the mood with the maps, sounds, and music. We've always had WWII games, and Modern games, but this is an era thats overlooked quite often.

It would interesting if BF did more of a jungle, forest environment. Everything I've played has been modern, large buildings, etc.

There were some maps on Medal of Honor Warfighter that look very similar to what I'm seeing in these videos. Those maps were actually pretty good, I'd like to see that in a BF game.

I've been getting ready for spring for the last couple months and its taken up a crazy amount of my free time. We expanded our garden to be really huge last september in preparation for growing fruit and veggies. Then we decided to expand it another 6 more feet in one direction which we finally got finished last weekend. It was alot of work because our garden has an almost 6 foot tall deer fence all around it. We hammered in u-posts into the ground and attached the deer net and buried the bottom of the net so nothing will burrow under it. I should do measurements at some point to figure out its total volume. Its huge. lol.
We have 3 apple trees, 3 cherry trees, and 1 nectarine tree in there. We still have to move 3 of those trees into their permanent locations (they are only 1 or 2 year old trees so its still possible to dig them up) and we have to plant a new apricot tree in there. I prepped the two rows for veggies last month but theres alot of weed whacking to do still and plants to move. We have 4 grape vines, 4 blueberry bushes and multiple raspberry plants to move. I started a bunch of veggies from seed and those tomatoes are still in an unused bath tub in my house with a light over them getting bigger every day. I'm looking forward to getting everything planted and done so all this gardening can give me a break.

Well my dryer broke after about 15 years and multiple repairs I've done over those years. I had to buy a new dryer. So far so good. I was finally able to get my laundry done again and my bathroom no longer smells like dirty socks and febreeze.

FML my pressure tank is failing for my well. Its getting replaced next week. Getting a new whole house water filter installed too along with some new valves and safety upgrades. Props to the well company employee for giving me the tip of hooking up an air compressor to the pressure tank to put some air in the bladder to get the system gimping along until the repair work is done. I miss public water. lol.

This has been a busy summer. I'm almost looking forward to winter so I can get a break from all the lawn mowing and outside projects. Hopefully the snow blower I bought this year works good so I'll have alot of free time this winter to get caught up on things. When I've had free time I've been playing Final Fantasy X over the last 5 months and I've somehow finally hit 100 hours on it. Lol. Only took me about half a year.  I still didn't beat it yet but I'm at the end game stuff now with the monster arena and omega ruins.
