Call of Duty: Ghosts current-gen versions hacked before launch

This is why a host based system is pointless, its too easy for a host system to get an advantage. I wouldn't play this on PS3 or Xbox 360 now.

Also, this video emphasizes that Ghosts is not powered by a new game engine. If the hack was based off a Modern Warfare 2 hack, then parts of the game code is the same as a game from 2009. Everyone is basically buying the exact same game every year with new maps.

That seems to match up with all those reports of 50% more graphic power for the PS4. It still makes me wonder about the cloud based processing of the xbox one. Depending on how Titanfall looks on it compared to COD, it could be a massive difference when the power of MS's cloud is backing it up. But if thats the case, then it would mean the Xbox One would be more time consuming to develop for due to incorporating cloud processing into the game design. With many developers making a single game and then pushing it out to the two main consoles and PC, theres no guarantee that non-exclusive titles would ever take advantage of the full cloud capabilities the Xbox One would be offering. If that ends up being true, then many games could look noticeably better on the PS4.. but in the long term, once developers know MS's system in an out, the Xbox One might end up prevailing.. This could screw MS again tho. People might flock more to the PS4 over the next couple years just because it looks better now. The more I think about it, Microsoft should have stuck with all their initial plans to keep it more separate / different from the PS4.

So basically MS's Cloud could be Sony's Cell Processor... interesting... but with Sony eventually aiming for the cloud, we will have to wait it out and see. Perhaps it was a good move by Sony not to have the cloud ready at launch. They got devs hooked on their SDK over XB1 enough for them not to want to deal with the cloud at first... But with Killzone requiring a 40 gig install, I think Sony is gonna have to get the ball rolling on Genkai. By Titanfall 2 it should be up and running... Respawn doesn't have a second dev studio like Treyarch (Thank GOD!), and they are a smaller studio than they were as the original Infinity Ward so it may take even longer than 2 years to pull a sequel that requires cloud gaming.

The problem with Sony's cell processor is that it took close to 7 years for game companies to finally show its full potential. Last of Us and Tomb Raider look amazing on PS3. But if it takes that long for developers to fully embrace the MS cloud abilities, then the Xbox One might not get the traction it needs now to secure more elaborate exclusive games from key developers. The PS4 will have gaikai streaming and potentially the same kind of cloud computing needed for games like Titanfall. Its a toss up in the air as to who will have the better cloud computing in the end, Titanfall will be the showcase for MS. If it is substantially better than COD, then its all good. As for PS4, I've seen their gaikai tech run entire games at 720p in a browser on the client end. I'm pretty certain Sony will be a strong competitor with their cloud power.

However, all this requires a constant dedicated online connection. Microsoft should have stuck with that online always, DRM, etc. I think it would have worked to their advantage because it would have given all the developers the requirements and resources to utilize their cloud servers. I can see their point in those restrictions now, they were more of a guarantee of quality than "don't sell that used game." I guess we'll see what happens in the future.

In light of the lower quality of Ghost on Xbox One, this emphasizes that the people that want to play offline or have bad internet connections would get the best single player quality from the PS4.

LOL. MW2 10th prestige hack works on Ghosts? Wow.... they are still just leeching off Respawn's infrastructure they left behind.

On another note here is the diff between 360/PS3 and PS4.... The 3 things I can take away from this is while the graphics haven't improved much texture-wise:

1. The lighting is superior in every way

2. More is going on with the environment such as more rubble for the crumbling tower and the vegetation swaying in the wind.

3. The colors are way more vibrant on next gen.

btw... the PS3 version looks the worst... its like a night lens is on the camera at all times. wtf?

I think thats another example of how the PS3 was harder to program for and optimize. Considering this game was based off the same code as MW2, it probably looks about the same as MW2 / MW3 did on those systems. The lighting and colors are a huge improvement.

The PS3 always seemed to struggle with darkness. I had to adjust my contrast and brightness a couple different times to get the best quality out of it. But I'm surprised Ghost looks like that on PS3. BF3, Last of Us and Tomb Raider all looked much better than that and those are all older games. :look:

There is really no reason for that... I was watching some of the gameplay commentary.. it just doesn't do much for me... its like they kinda sorta tried to slow down the action... which isn't good for COD... thats not its play style.  They should have bumped up the player count if they were going to have larger maps.

The reviews for this game have been pretty meh.

I've been getting ready for spring for the last couple months and its taken up a crazy amount of my free time. We expanded our garden to be really huge last september in preparation for growing fruit and veggies. Then we decided to expand it another 6 more feet in one direction which we finally got finished last weekend. It was alot of work because our garden has an almost 6 foot tall deer fence all around it. We hammered in u-posts into the ground and attached the deer net and buried the bottom of the net so nothing will burrow under it. I should do measurements at some point to figure out its total volume. Its huge. lol.
We have 3 apple trees, 3 cherry trees, and 1 nectarine tree in there. We still have to move 3 of those trees into their permanent locations (they are only 1 or 2 year old trees so its still possible to dig them up) and we have to plant a new apricot tree in there. I prepped the two rows for veggies last month but theres alot of weed whacking to do still and plants to move. We have 4 grape vines, 4 blueberry bushes and multiple raspberry plants to move. I started a bunch of veggies from seed and those tomatoes are still in an unused bath tub in my house with a light over them getting bigger every day. I'm looking forward to getting everything planted and done so all this gardening can give me a break.

Well my dryer broke after about 15 years and multiple repairs I've done over those years. I had to buy a new dryer. So far so good. I was finally able to get my laundry done again and my bathroom no longer smells like dirty socks and febreeze.

FML my pressure tank is failing for my well. Its getting replaced next week. Getting a new whole house water filter installed too along with some new valves and safety upgrades. Props to the well company employee for giving me the tip of hooking up an air compressor to the pressure tank to put some air in the bladder to get the system gimping along until the repair work is done. I miss public water. lol.

This has been a busy summer. I'm almost looking forward to winter so I can get a break from all the lawn mowing and outside projects. Hopefully the snow blower I bought this year works good so I'll have alot of free time this winter to get caught up on things. When I've had free time I've been playing Final Fantasy X over the last 5 months and I've somehow finally hit 100 hours on it. Lol. Only took me about half a year.  I still didn't beat it yet but I'm at the end game stuff now with the monster arena and omega ruins.
