Final Fantasy XV

The game play looks good. The fast travel by throwing a sword and instant teleporting to that location looks like a lot of fun, but it also looks like it was borrowed from the 4th hokage from Naruto. I'll get this game.

Final Fantasy mostly got rid of turn based combat back with FFX-2 and turn based was completely gone in FFXIII. In FFXIII you only control one character at a time, while AI controls the others. The only turn based part of the game play is the gauge that prevents everyone from constantly attacking. It worked good and really keeps the pace going, especially once more abilities are unlocked.

But this new FF definitely takes it up a notch and moves the combat more towards an action style of combat. I think I'll end up liking that more.

If you never played Bayonetta, download the demo if its still in the PS store This FF doesn't seen quite as absurd, but it def look like it had some inspiration.

I've seen Bayonetta before but I've never played it. I'll try out that demo.

I love how this was supposed to be out like 2 years ago as FF versus XIII but they retooled it to be the next number title. Not that I'm complaining, I've been waiting for it since it was first announced years ago. Looks like it'll be fun but I've never been hip on these types of rpg's. I prefer turned based but I'll still played it, did it with Star Ocean and .hack so it'll be no different.

Bayonetta is a trip, fun but the combat can become rather tedious at times. I still had a blast playing the demo when it was first released.

Yeah really.. I doubt we will be materializing any guillotines or iron maidens in FF tho.

Square-Enix better not screw this up. I've been wanting a new Final Fantasy game for years.

Hmmm. I wonder if there will be 4 player co-op.

Hmmm by the looks of it they're on the right path for making a good game. Story seems to be somewhat interesting. Not too sure I'm hip on that combat system though, materializing weapons out of nowhere seems rather strange and I'm not him on the real-time aspect of it though. Hopefully there will be more game play footage soon to show the game off some more (and maybe explain the combat system).
