The series, which was announced with 26 episodes in 2008 (see “Marvel Preps New Toon Series”), was given a 52-episode order. The show will be launched behind a 20-episode micro-series laying out the characters’ backstories, which will be followed immediately by the series premiere. The new Avengers TV series will lead into two Avengers-based theatrical features planned for 2011, and the big Avengers feature in 2012. I will watch this series.
