All stores have to cut staff and i got the boot from my store. ive not been with them for a year so can be fired without a reason. and not been with them for more then 2 years so dont get redundancy pay my last day is the end of this month i feel like i have been stabbed in the eye with a hot poker. in 6 months ive made about £150,000 ($227 580) gross profit working 20hrs a week 20 hours a week sucks balls, but with commission i made more then a lot of 40hr jobs... i got a lil bit of £$£ as the company is fast tracking these dismissals, but not much, as im not entitled to redundancy pay. really hard to find a job at the moment in this economic climate.. feel like a failure.... Sledgstone 8,672 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 Damn that sucks. Have you thought about going to one of their competitors for a job? You have the experience and will be more qualified than other applicants. Also, if you're used to working on getting commissions, you can always go into selling appliances or electronics. Appliances make a hell of a lot more commission tho. Instead of selling phones you can sell washing machines and instead of a contract you can sell the extended warranty for bonuses.
