Skateboarder sets off speed camera in South Africa

The footage above is of Decio Lourenco from South Africa, who apparently shredded so fast that the authorities are looking to prosecute according to The Telegraph.


They're citing "reckless and negligent road behavior," as he could have caused accidents though Lourenco seemed flippant about that idea. "I accept that it's dangerous but so is stepping out of my front door," he said. "I skate down that road all the time and was skating well within my limitations."

That was some serious speed. If he'd have wiped out he'd have been splattered. That road is one of the best pavement jobs I've ever seen. Super smooth. If he hit a bad bump he could have been screwed.

It was tripping me out because they drive on the opposite side of the road, so every time a car would come around the curve I thought he was about to get hit.
