"Come, join us guardian. In a lifeless world where the only things that exist are you and the enemies that spawn. Ignore these wolves. You'll only see them in a cut scene anyway. Here, have a free gjallarhorn and don't notice any more flaws."

No Bungie. No thanks. I already have that weapon and its pointless because its does so little damage to almost every enemy. I'm not paying you money for an upgraded version of the exact same weapon I bought on the last day I played your game. Good luck in the future. Maybe Destiny 2 will be good but I'm not a raid guy and I realized that you're all about raids and no significant in game plot. I'll pass. This is one of those games that if I want to know the story about, I'll watch it on youtube so I can skip 200 hours of gear grinding to watch a total of 2 hours of cutscenes and dialogue.

From looking at the reddit, you don't get gally, you just get the skin to apply when you get it. Which is false advertising and preying on the casual gamer. Apparently the Y2 version is going to be a bounty.

I'm going to admit I got slightly interested when I saw the trailer, more so since they're actually putting some focus on the story. Sadly that's about all I got excited for. I watch Teawrex and KingGothalion play Destiny when no one else that I follow is on and honestly the game is just as boring and just as grindy as we remember it (even more so now with all the new shit they added in since The Taken King launched). Fuck they put a point scoring system on Prison of Elders now calling it the Challenge of Elders.

If that's true about the preorder Gally Bungie is going to have a shit ton of pissed off gamers they're going to have to deal with. Honestly a year 2 version of the Gally probably wouldn't even be welcomed in the game as there are so many better exotic heavy weapons to choose from now (not to mention some pretty nice Special and Primary weapons). Most people would only grab it to say they have it. I do like the idea of it being a bounty though, so much easier to get instead of hoping for that godly drop or for Xur to sell it.

I looked at that trailer again and at the bottom of the last frames shows the * saying its just a weapon skin and gally will be an earned item via a quest. But it doesn't mention anything about the gally bounty being an exclusive for pre-ordering. My guess is that everyone will get the bounty and everyone will get it eventually. But watch that bounty have some ridiculous things like

"win 20 matches in trials of osiris, win 30 matches in iron banner, complete each strike in heroic mode, and complete each raid once."
reward = 1 experimental rocket launcher 'talk to weaponsmith guy that only sells blues and green to learn how to forge this into a weapon'

and then theres 3 more parts to finish. It'll make that original thorn bounty look easy. XD

I saw they will be stopping last gen support for this game. While they will have access to the usual weekly grind resets, no new raids or special events like Iron Banner will be available to PS3/360 players. This is a pretty shit move, and only because of its timing. This should have been done a lot earlier, and now it seems pointless. First becasue of how bad the game had been held back by last gen tech, and secondly because it really screws over last gen players by waiting this late. Your progress wont transfer over to the new console, and you'd have to reinvest not only in the game, but all of its 3 DLCs, after you dropped $400 on the console. The least they could have done was announce this while the E3 sale let you get it all for relatively cheap.... but to make it even WORSE they announced this after the fact. WTF is going on? Activision is trying there damn hardest to see how bad they can fuck their consumers over before they completely cross the breaking point. While Bungie can also be blamed... Acti is by far the biggest aggressor. Its like they don't even care anymore.

Semi-related to what I'm saying, but different game. I just watched a Blops 3 video on the new specialist they released... which you can play only an hour a day by doing some challenges. The damn thing is mega OP, both variants you can continuously get your ult 10x faster than a normal specialist... which is basically any specialist ult at random, with the ability to randomly roll once if you don't like the first RNG pick. I can't imagine playing in a lobby with nothing but blackjacks spamming ults every 3 minutes. Even at an hour a day, as many people that play the game at different times, you're always going to be running into these guys... and I'm sure there are exploits to permanently play as blackjack or for more than an hour if anything else. Supply drops with extra blackjack time will probably be next. Giving players OP shit is not acceptable, I dont care if its limited playtime.

Bungie should have never made Destiny for those older consoles to begin with. With this move they could have given anyone that has bought the taken king expansion for the ps3 or xbox 360 a free upgrade to the newer gen versions. I'm not saying those people are entitled to that upgrade but it would be a great move for activision's public relations. But I say could have given.. they really can't tho because that expansion was released digitally and on disk. The people that already bought the DLC digitally could easily be upgraded with a cross buy promotion that goes into retro effect. But activision was greedy with a physical copy release that negates that possibility. Anyone who bought the game for those older systems should have known this would eventually happen anyway.

Wow thats ultra shitty. Like you said, someone will always have that in every match. Its like the ultimate kill streak bonus. I never could understand why the CoD kill streak system even exists in the first place. Instead of having a even playing field and people that are great can already dominate a game, lets give them even more elaborate ways to get easy free kills to help them dominate even more. And now you have something that lets people be completely OP simply because they have the time to grind out some challenge.. yeah no thanks. I'm way to casual ever enjoy a CoD multiplayer.

This looks meh TBH. Its amazing that anyone is still giving money to Bungie for this when there are better games than this out right now and are coming out. A new strike? meh, A new raid? meh... they're even promoting patrol now? I mean wow, nothing interesting or rewarding ever came from patrolling except for when the Wolves were prowling. Hey, lets give the Iron Banner guy a story, screw Rasputin... the most interesting part that wasn't the Queen. Its Old Russia again, but its snowing!

Whats even more sad is that you can now get all the DLC for $60. Which is really a rip off seeing as all the old content is completely useless. Crota and now TTK raids give outdated loot compared to the new Rise of Iron raid.

Destiny 2 is going to have to fix the loot system. Maybe with this new skin concept, they can actually give out out equal rewards across Strikes, PvP, and Raids, while skins become the biggest difference between the three. That way the old raids never lose their usefulness, and everyone can be on equal playing ground during Iron Banner, instead of getting mollywhoped by people with raid hard mode weapons.

I'm happy to see that Bungie finally got it through their heads that the games needs a story and not just random tidbits of lore thrown around the multiple planets for you to look for. It's a little late but at least they're starting to learn from their mistakes. Sadly though this DLC just doesn't look that interesting. I've always been curious as to who the Iron Lords were and what happened to them but I don't think it should be the focus of a whole DLC (which, by what I've heard in the rumor mill, is extremely short). This is more of a Iron Banner thing and should of been implemented back when Iron Banner first started (kind of like Trials, work you're way to the Hold through pitched combat against your peers). I understand that Saladin has been training the guardians to take on some sort of threat (it was stated in what little lore we got back in the day) by why would you throw us into combat against each other to train us? It makes no sense that we fight each other and then when the threat returns/surfaces again we're now supposed to fight enemies that fight completely different from guardians (and by the looks of it their own, untainted brethren).

I'm getting the feeling the Queen's story is done considering nothing has been mentioned of her since her part in TTK ended (sad to say but I think they killed her off). As for Rasputin who knows why they took the focus off of it again (probably because they didn't think that far ahead in their story). As for old strikes, they're still viable with the TTK facelifts almost all of them got but they're pretty much the same thing you've run before with the exception of almost all enemies now being Taken. Old raids are old raids and will never be viable again. Its the same thing you see in MMO's (with GW2 not really having a raid scene I can understand why you've never really run into this problem, TOR suffers from it as well), all old raids are pretty much made useless when a new one comes out. Sure, you can run them for glamours (FFXIV) or transmogs (WoW) to allow for different looks (kind of what you're getting at here but Bungie's take is a little different on customization, it seems that this ornament system is tied to the piece and they didn't say anything about having to acquire them from the world (unless there is some material I've missed, it's not stated in the video)) but no one is going to run them unless they're bored enough to do so (you rarely, if ever, see people running the old raids in FFXIV for glamour gear. It's just not worth the time). They'd have to fundamentally change the raid to make people want to run them again (or in the case of Destiny actually allow you to get TTK versions of old raid weapons (335 version of the Fatebringer anyone?)) and Bungie has pretty much already stated that they won't do this.

Meh, considering how well Destiny is still doing (it's still one of the top 10 streamed games everyday on Twitch, fuck the Destiny community is extremely excited for this DLC (sad really but I guess there will always be people interested in playing mediocre games)) I get the feeling Destiny 2 will suffer from all the same stuff Destiny has been. Bungie isn't one for changing a formula that works well for them, you could see it in the Halo franchise when they were still working on it. Each of the Halo games was pretty much the same thing with minor changes to certain aspects (changes that were usually met with backlash, the old pistol being removed in 2 is a good example of this) and a lot of those things that carried over were things everyone bitched about in the older titles. Bungie just doesn't have the capacity to learn from their mistakes and it's going to continue to hurt this franchise in the future.

I've never played an Assassin's Creed game before. Does anyone know if this is a good price for all these games considering I'd have to use Uplay (my pc can play them fine)? Or would I be better off picking these up on console during a PSN sale?

If you haven't played season 1 or 2, the trailer seems to be spoiler free and doesn't reference any of those events. WTF.. Jesus is in this!?

I've been playing Prince of Persia since way back in the Broderbund days. And just as those classic games broke the barriers of cutting edge gaming back then, the new Prince of Persia does the same. Throwing aside the old side scrolling action and breaking new ground with such entirely unique gameplay, the Prince of Persia series is redifined with Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
The game is played in 3rd person perspective with camera controls so excellent, you will never miss out on any of the action. If you were to watch someone playing this, you would think the controls would be intimidating. But in fact, the controls are simple to learn thanks to the basic tutorial that assists you through the beginning scenes.
The plot is great because of its simplicity.
To quote a description from the publisher:
Basically, everyone is turned into a sand demon, but as you play, you soon realize there are 2 others not affected by the Sands.. a young woman of the Maharajah kingdom named Farah and the evil Vizier. They both possess objects that protect them from the affects of the Sand, such as the Dagger has kept the Prince safe.
After the Sands of Time are released, you quickly discover that the only way to destroy the sand demons is to absorb their sand into the Dagger of Time. The Dagger also has other abilities, such as if you were to die abruptly by a missed jump, the Dagger can rewind time at your discretion so you can make another attempt.
The Dagger can do this as long as it has sand reserves. To refill the Dagger, simply kill another sand demon and absorb its sand. As you progress through the game, the Dagger will become stronger with every kill enabling you to do other feats than just rewinding time.
The game is tied together with action and puzzle solving. For example: Kill all the enemies in the room, then get from point A to point B to progress to the next area. And this is were the Prince's abilities really shine. By doing combinations of wall running, jumping, swinging, climbing, pulling switches, hitting levers and wall jumping.. this game is sure to keep you entertained.
With no major stage boundaries or level completion notices, Prince of Persia is a constant, fluid, adrenaline rush adventure.

The gameplay looks very similar to the first game, but some of the new stuff is pretty cool. I love the idea of controlling drones in this, but the best part of Watch Dogs to me was the plot. I'm a bit disappointed this isn't an actual sequel. I loved the car driving in the first game. I'd jump in a car and just drive everywhere for the hell of it. Sure some of those car evasions were a pain in the ass. I remember driving for over 10 minutes like a maniac trying to loose some guys before. Good times.
