Sledgstone 8,672 Report post Posted June 7, 2019 I got an email from Google about their Stadia game service today. The console free, controller with dongle streaming only game service. Here is the link with the info: https://store.google.com/product/stadia_founders_edition To have surround sound I'd have to pay $9.99 a month. wtf. So not only do I have to buy the games, but to get a basic feature like surround sound I'd have to pay into their monthly plan. Sure there is no upfront cost of a console, and the service should technically scale like PC gaming, but relying on my internet connection to give me the best game performance, especially over a wifi to any of my TVs seems like I'll have crap perfomance. Even though their test site says my 80 mpbs connection will be great, I doubt it. I'm wondering how many people will complain about input lag on day one.
