Sledgstone 8,672 Report post Posted February 11, 2021 Looks good, but I don't get why there isn't more mechs. Maybe the trailer is purposefully not showing stuff to not ruin it which is fine with me. I'll definitely be watching it on day one.
DeathscytheX 9,732 Report post Posted February 12, 2021 Probably because the Jaeger program is mostly a failure, even in the movies. Only Gypsy Danger can ever do anything. All the new Jaegers get taken out immediately in the first movie, and in the second movie they suck too. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is a massive time jump of 20-50 years, and humanity lost to the Kaiju. Totally ripping off the premise of the final fight of Robot Jox, they find an old Jaeger that still has power, and they somehow fight without a maintenance crew to maintain it after each battle? Although it seems another Jaeger appears at the end of the trailer. 1 Sledgstone reacted to this Quote GET A NEW FUNK ON BEFORE YOU GET DUMPED ON!

I was thinking that same thing. they would need a serious crew for repairs, engineers for replacement parts, resources to feed those people, etc. Maybe they're pulling a Netflix godzilla anime move with how they did with their version of mechagodzilla. "It's nano machines and it'll repair itself with raw materials from the soil." Super lazy writing if that's the case.
