I'm pretty certain the only move that Gaara's tailed beast really affected was Gaara's sand guard. Its like the tailed beast would put on an auto guard for him, but now that the beast is gone, Gaara has to use his own chakra and control his guard himself. I still think that Gaara is mad powerful, aside from that Naruto fight were he summoned out his tailed beast and the fight with Diedra where he started using some of it's power, he didn't appear to rely on it much.

also why kill the 5 hokages (as if he could)

I think Sasuke's goal is to kill just Danzo. Maybe assassinate him before he gets to the meeting?

And how did they all leave Akatsuki? They went on one mission and then decided that it was just a one time fling? Why did he even agree to get Killerbee for Madara to begin with if he had no intention of staying with akatsuki anyway?

Sasuke has resentment towards Naruto for always one-upping him during his team 7 days. I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to fight Naruto as much as Naruto wants to fight him, just to see where each one stands in terms of power.

We finally get to see what the other Kages look like at least. And low and behold, Danzo is after Kabuto for his Orochimaru experiment information. So not only does Danzo have his own root anbu/secret service to completely own all of Konoha, but he also had connections with Orochimaru all along.

It makes me wonder why Danzo had no significant role whatsoever (or I should say, didn't exist as a character yet) during the many years of the manga in which Oro was alive or during Oro's primary attack against Konoha and the third whom Danzo also did not like.

seems like the writer kept danzo as a back up for milking the story if needed.

He could have made Danzo a better part of the story if all along he was pulling strings manipulating people, while showing it ofcourse instead of a twist of story once he is dead like itachis

It seems to me that the old kage and Danzo should be easy pickings for Sasuke and his group. Except of course that every kage is traveling with 2 of their top ninja for backup or protection.

I'm liking where the story is heading now. Shit is starting to happen and characters we've always wanted to learn about (ie. The kages, Root..etc) are starting to pop up. I'm wondering if the next big battle will happen at the Kage conference. Would be hilarious if Naruto saves the day again in front of all the Kages and is given the title of Hokage for the Leaf or some other high rank haha. Danzo would go ape shit.
