Also, I kind of liked that long haired CP9 member. He reminds me of Jiraiya from Naruto. I hope we see more of him. I sit here on my shelf, Just talking to myself. Ladywriter 7,783 Report post Posted July 12, 2006 I worry for Ussop and Nami cuz they're just 'normal' ppl compared to their nakama. The thing is, Ussop can take a wayyyyy worse beating then Nami can. They can't lose Nami, she's way to vauable to the crews survival. Without the navigator they would be pretty screwed. She IS the brain of that crew. Ussop and the Merry were sort of a package deal and now Merry is gone (or is she!!!!) I'm worried about Robin more then those two though. She's the newest addition to their nakama; I just hope she isn't the 'red shirt ensign from Star Treck' ya kin? >.< She went through all of Sky Isl stuff with them, but Vivi went through a lot w/ the crew too and she's history. Does a pirate ship really need a historian? No probably not but maybe hopfully Luffy himself actually needs her for something Roger/One Piece related. If that bastard really wanted to staight up kill Robin he coulda kicked her into the sea while she's cuffed. I hope Frankie doesnt provoke him into doing something bad to her. 10 minutes until the Buster Call. How the flippin fuck are they all getting out of there?! Marines running like mutherfuckers- are there any ships left on the island? Is it possible Iceberg sent some help from Water 7 behind Rocketman? Has the storm died down enough for safe sailing? And if they do escape the island is it safe to go back to Water 7 and get a new ship? I'm hoping Iceberg has something up his sleeve. He must have some kind of plan just in case this day came doesn't he? I dunno how much good he can do being all busted up and Galley La at EL. I'm sure he wants to save Frankie and all their dudes. The way they did the whole robin backstory and how everything is coming together with her being taken past the gates of justice.. I have a feeling Robin may not come out of this alive.. Sledgstone 8,672 Report post Posted July 26, 2006 Seeing as the buster call is a large group of ships with some badasses on it, I bet luffy and the others could fight their way out of it.. but then again, the buster call also summons 4 admirals to see that the job gets done, and if all four of them are on par with aokiji (sp? the ice guy) then they could be in some serious shit. I bet the franky family will make it back to their ship with the galley-la guys and flee in time along with the bulk of the marines. but i keep thinking that the straw hats will have to find safety past the gates of justice.. Sure the Luffy pirates are bad ass but 4 admirals. I'm not too worried about the fleet, Luffy Sanji Zoro and Ussop w a cannon can take out a nice chunk. To think that Enies Lobby was really just a lobby and all those warships are coming from the marine headquarters on the other side of the gates of justice. now it makes sense why such a large fleet of ships were able to make it there in 30 minutes. and instead of 4 admirals, its actually five? I really liked Alabasta, but this stuff totaly kicks its ass If/When they get out of there the World Govt and the Pirate Gods are gonna have to look at Monkey D Luffy a little differently ne? I can't wait to see some of these fights (all of the fights!) animated. I love how the Franky family and the giants got involved and fought too. So many characters and so much going on. Sweeeeet. I'm at 280-281 where Luffy's pulled everyone to jump down and they're gonne be picked up by Rocketman and it's gonna get crazy from there. The flashbacks are cool ... drawing difference and change and makes me wanna watch it all over again! There's not a single disappointing moment in this arc, thank god. Less or no filler-ation. Kickass fights so far ... Blueno vs Luffy!!! Second Gear and I was like ' .... Kyuuubi!!!!!!' X'D ... I hope he has enough reserve to fight the baddies cos he did mention about Second Gear having effected his body a bit/exhaustion maybe. I can't wait to see what happens next!!! I believe the series releases are only upto 304 or 308ish range ... does the arc get over within that or am I gonna be current/uptodate and have to wait weeks for episodes to come out, in super anxiety X'D?! EDIT: Is it just me, or do you also get the impression that while their powers are somehow magnified in the areas of the Devil fruit, Kaku - Kalifa - Jyabura, their fights have sorta become less interesting ... I mean compare Zoro vs Kaku right before he transformed with the fight they're having right now (I speak in the present because I'm in the middle of the battle) after he transformed. Even Kalifa was easily defeated, very easily. She's a CP9 member for god sakes with all those super techniques! She could've easily avoided the lightening bolts ...
