Ladywriter 7,783 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 Here; Central NY, we have curbside pick up for trash and recyclables. All paper, plastic and metal goes in the bin except for soda/beer bottles and cans. There is a 5cent deposit on them and most grocery stores/walmart have the machines in the lobby to return them whenever you want. I recycle everything that I can. Do you have curb pick up for your recyclables. Is there a bottle deposit on that Coke you're drinkin? If not then why not? What are the policies concerning recyclables and returnables where you live? Rasaphane 100 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 I'm going to guess so. All I know is that if you crush tin cans and take them to the recyeling place they'll weigh them and pay you like $0.25 cent a can (the weighing part is to like get the estimates on the number of cans, I'm going to guess that weighing part).
