With that philosophy they should have even never spent the money to make the actual anime. I don't understand how anyone can get upset over this. Maybe its just me, but I find it more than amusing. The movie would be shitty whether they made it like the anime or not. Actually you'd have a better chance at making it a good movie by NOT following the anime exactly. They're making a shitty movie based on a highly overrated anime that was never all that great to begin with. I watched Dragonball from the beginning all the way to the end of GT. I use to run home off the bus and skip my homework to watch it... and now looking back on it, the 500 plus episodes could have been cut down to 100 and then it probably would have been decent. No one watched it for the story, they watched it for the fights that would come once every 20-50 episodes. Its hard to damage the image of an anime that butchered itself after the Saiya-jin saga. No, they shouldn't have made a live action film, but they are... and if it was good, it wouldn't have followed the story perfectly, nor would it have flowed like the original story. Fanboys would have bitched and moaned for all of enternity, which they are going to do after this flim come out anyways. No sense in getting bent out of shape over it. If I was I would be dressed as my favorite Dragon Ball Z chracter and standing on a street corner holding a big ass sign that reads "Boycott the Dragon Ball Z movie! It's going to suck!" This movie will probably be funny. I was saying that I think it would do a world of difference if people put the same amount of money and time into life saving research as they do entertainment. A lot of Anime have live action versions, such as Sailor Moon and a few hentai series. This remind me.. a few years back I came across a dragonball Z/ Sailor Moon hentai manga. Ladywriter 7,783 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 DB/DBZ anime was pretty good stuff back in its day; like most shows when it was nearing the end of an arc they had to stretch and give the manga time to get ahead. Its why 5 minutes can last 13 episodes Remove filler/stretch and you have a good original story, a writer that knew how to do his job. The only manga/show that comes close to Akira's reign is Oda's One Piece; 10 years of manga and its in its 9th tv season. and yes, Piccalo looks like Garlic Jr.... pretty disappointing to long time fans Quote Look at the flowers Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I was considering seeing it to see how much it sucks..but after seeing the trailer..I don't want to waste my money.
