gokuDX7 2,871 Report post Posted November 9, 2008 when you say reset do you mean restart or reformat? You could try downloading a linux live cd and seeing if that runs. Sounds like something hardware related went though. Quote All hail piggy, king of bacon ^)^
Kite 3,263 Report post Posted November 9, 2008 restart as in keeps turning off then on i kinda fixed it but not sure for how long for some reason the time was reset to 2006 weird. but it was having problems with a floppy drive, but my pc doesnt have a floppy drive, so in bios i disabled the disc drive, but no idea why this problem happened. hope it doesnt happen again Quote Bruce Campbell: '' This place has more security then the Batcave ''
Dubird 6,815 Report post Posted November 10, 2008 maybe it's overheating? If you can get into the BIOS settings, most of them have a temp reading of the CPU. I know when my last one went out, it was doing the same thing and it was because it was overheating. Quote Yesterday was the deadline for all complaints! Guest ashgray2 Report post Posted May 27, 2009 I had the same problem before with my pc. It was resetting after 5 secs after I boot up my pc. I don't think this was cause by a virus because it was under the POST environment. The work around I did was replacing my memory and after that my computer work fine again. __________________________ Video Games Hint, Laptop Buying Tips
