Sledgstone 8,672 Report post Posted December 16, 2008 http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/13927.html Stephen Norrington will direct a new film version of The Crow, based on the comic by James O’Barr, according to Variety. Norrington directed League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Blade; he hasn’t directed a film since LoEG. Relativity Media is attempting to acquire the rights from Edward Pressman for its version. The new version of the film will be different from the first version, which starred Brandon Lee. Norrington told Variety the new movie “will be realistic, hard-edged and mysterious, almost documentary-style.” A total of four previous Crow movies have been released. So yeah, they decided to re-make The Crow. I'm guessing they'll turn it into a new franchise of "darker" movies ala Batman.
Myk JL 1,731 Report post Posted December 16, 2008 Depending on who you talk to the sequals were bad... So is it even possible to top the first? Quote Those who fight deplorables should see to it that they themselves do not become deplorables.
Sledgstone 8,672 Report post Posted December 18, 2008 The sequels were bad. The first movie was pretty good tho. I figure if they're reaching into the bucket to remake the Crow, could Universal Soldier be next?

Never saw the 1st Universal Soldier, but the sequel with Goldberg basically scared me away from having any interest in that series. I'd like to know when someone will remake Robocop.
