It's the concept of overlaying virtual elements and data over our existing world. It's exactly like playing an MMO.. except your with people you actually care about and you can do stuff that could never be programmed into an actual videogame. Ladywriter 7,783 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 There are so many things that "could become a reality in our lifetime" Unfortunately I'm highly skeptical we'll stop wasting all our loot on wars for fossil fuels and do something positive, like mitigate the damage of climate change before millions of us starve to death AR looks like fun and it could be useful for med/military applications I'm hoping after the baby boomers are all used up and out of power the next gen can bust some ass and undo and mitigate the damage these ancient selfish miserable fucks did to the world. There's a wide range of Iphone apps that use AR that haven't come out yet (twitter finder, map locater, reviews on stores..etc). I cant wait for it in practical use!
