Ladywriter 7,783 Report post Posted August 17, 2009 Tell Walmart to Pull Its Advertising Dollars from The Glenn Beck Program Barack Obama "has exposed himself as a guy... who has a deep seeded hatred for white people or the white culture." "This guy, I believe, is a racist." This is the kind of drivel Glenn Beck has been spewing lately. We know. We know. Not much that comes out of the Fox News host's mouth surprises you anymore, but guess what: Glenn Beck's hate speech is being sponsored by, you got it, Walmart. Other major advertisers (i.e. Geico, Proctor and Gamble, and Lexis Nexis) are pulling their ads from Glenn Beck's show in response to his disgraceful rhetoric. Not Walmart. It's time for that to change. Join the fight to end Walmart's financial support of Glenn Beck's televised hate. Tell Bentonville that you demand Walmart pull its ad dollars from Glenn Beck's show right now. Send a letter to Walmart executives denouncing their financial support of hate speech [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3yaJ5nIRrE]YouTube - Glenn Beck's Hate Speech, Brought To You By...[/ame] Look at the flowers
Myk JL 1,731 Report post Posted August 17, 2009 I think Walmart will be the last of the 4 to pull advertising... If it does. Those who fight deplorables should see to it that they themselves do not become deplorables.

Ladywriter 7,783 Report post Posted August 18, 2009 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbMf3e1Wy7M]YouTube - Olbermann's Worst Persons - Beck, Coburn, and the great state of Texas[/ame] Sponsors drop support for wingnut Glenn Beck Conservatives’ faith in the free market must be dropping substantially today, as right-wing Fox News host Glenn Beck’s TV show has lost too many sponsors to count, including eight today. Some of the sponsors opting not to support Beck’s wingnuttery include Geico, CVS, Best Buy, Progressive, ConAgra, Wal-Mart, RadioShack, Procter and Gamble, SC Johnson and Sargento. While Beck has a history of making outrageous and offensive comments on his show, for instance calling the families of 9/11 victims “complainers” and expressing similar hatred for Hurricane Katrina victims, the issue that led to this sudden loss of support was his claim that President Obama is a “racist” with a “deep-seated hatred of white people.” ColorOfChange.org immediately organized a petition calling for Beck’s sponsors to withdraw their support, and it’s proven a successful campaign. DeathscytheX 9,732 Report post Posted August 18, 2009 Wal-Mart can do whatever it wants and it will never affect its business. They've brain washed the public into thinking they have the lowest prices, when in actuality that isn't the case all the time. The media controlled society we have today brainlessly shop there and take the shitty customer service because they truely believe that they are getting the best deals.
