Report reply Sledgstone 8,672 Posted April 10, 2010 Automatics are more popular, because americans are lazy and used to autos. Just like me, I know I can get more control and better gas mileage with a manuel, but I really like the convenience of an automatic. btw Kite, what do you prefer? Share this comment Link to comment
Report reply Pchan 5,162 Posted April 12, 2010 I prefer stick-shift. Automatics are guzzlers and make the driver lazy! Someone almost ran me over today because he was looking the other way and I was crossing >_< ... either way, stick-shift's are so much fun cos you're in control of the car a lot more, and it's sorta playful. I have an analogy for it, but it's kinda perverse p ... Kite, you have to pay extra/ a premium to get a stick-shift here by the way. Back home, you had to pay a premium to get an automatic cos most cars in India are manual! Share this comment Link to comment

Report reply Sledgstone 8,672 Posted April 13, 2010 Actually, stick shifts are the cheaper cars in the US. Whenever you see a car add and it says "starting at..." thats usually the price for the standard. Share this comment Link to comment
