I'm about 6000 points away from the SKS so about a match or two and I should have it unlocked if I use DMR's exclusively the next time I get on. Hmmm I actually like the ACOG on the RFB, I'm a lot more accurate and can actually hit the target as opposed to the iron sights though I have noticed that muzzle climb does screw with the ACOG quite a bit,. I'll have to check out the Reflex once I unlock it for the RFB. Since they're similar to the aperture sights on WaW I should be able to dominate with a reflex on a DMR (I was godly with the SVT-40 with an attached aperture sight). Anything that makes me better is always a plus since about all I'm good at in BF4 currently is playing the ammo mule or the medic roles (both roles I like but they do get a little rough when playing on a wide open map like Gulf of Oman or Operation Firestorm (yes I play Second Assault a lot)).

    Happy Birthday Ancient Clan!

When I first joined AC -Facebook was for college students only, and my school wasn't on the list of those that could sign up -AIM was at is peak and Trillian was awesome -I was still in highschool -Cable/DSL was relatively new. -Kazaa and Limewire were king -Photoshop 7 was new -1.2ghz processing, 256mb of ram, with a 32gig hard drive was top of the line

I shall put these new tactics into practice tonight and see if I get any better at sniping (and if not go watch more of your vids). My problem is after 200 meters it's touch and go with me. Sometimes I line the shot perfectly and other times I fall a good 10-20 meters short and the target moves or another sniper picks me off. I think my major problem is I'm used to semi-auto snipers from COD, I'm not used to bolt-actions so the coming out of scope to chamber another round really throws me off. Okay how did you get that kill in the first DMR vid DX, with a relex sight at that? I couldn't even see the guy and didn't know you got a kill till it popped up. If that's how good that gun is then I'll definitely be working extra hard on unlocking it. Yea, if I ever figure out how to fly a helo I'm definitely not flying one when I'm in a game with you on opposite teams. You're freaking deadly with a RPG and I do not want to be on the receiving end of one of your rockets

Once you unlock the straight pull bolt you don't have to unscope to chamber the next round. It's a life saver, but you have to give it up for the range finder temporarily. I like the range finder, but after using it a ton, I memorized the distances from all of my favorite spots and went back to straight pull. Yes that's the reflex I believe. The quality of the video diminished on Facebook, but I could see him as a speck. I run the heavy barrel along with the angle grip to nullify the added recoil. The gun is a beast. You can see how little it's recoil is to begin with. No sniper stands a chance at mid range. its 2-3 body shots max to kill anyone. On Hainan I can stick around the resort grounds and pop people across the water at other flags. It has no rival. The ACOG on any DMR doesnt work too well for me. The sight feels overly affected by muzzle climb... the reflex and holo sights are better suited for DMRs IMO. The SKS is the fast track way to get to the ACE due to its good damage, ultra fast trigger pull, and limited recoil.

My favorite one with some ACE action... dude tried to steal our chopper... smh BONUS: This is what happens on Operation Locker on a Double XP weekend when you stack a 100% boost to it. Funny how this COD thread turned into a BF4 thread

I quick joined this match and it was my first spawn... whattaknow?! This guy failed so bad it made for an easy shot! Sledge and I were trolling this guy that kept taking a jeep and rolling up to the same spot on the mountains of Golmud... before we lost I exacted some personal satisfaction Woo... that was close... I rarely miss, but if you hang around, you're dead.

I don't even climb up the hill anymore. If you stay next to the hill, you're only exposed from one side. This one is my favorite. This clown kills me with an SMG and then stays there thinking I'm going to come back. Here is me paying Sledge back after he ended up on the other team and knew my favorite nesting spot... he tried to dance, but to no avail. XD Here is the power of the ACE-53 SV... that guy had to be pissed when it showed him what I killed him with. LOL Now for what I'm really good at... Killing choppers with an RPG: When I discovered chopper blades will detonate an RPG. It didn't save in HD, but I dont feel like redoing it.

This is a video of me sniping from that exact location: And heres a video of me on the other side of the map killing someone sniping from that exact location with my SUAV. I agree with DX, that location is definitely the best sniping spot. Aim for the rooftop for easy marksman ribbons. Moving targets are much more challenging. Its all a matter of finding out where the bullet will intersect with the guy's head based on his speed.. lol. I've gotten used to it tho. Aside from a 1,000 meter headshot, my most impressive shot IMO is this one at the 18 second mark.. I hit the guy while he was moving from 900+ meters away. Check some of my other Sniping videos Strider.. You'll notice my pattern, I spot every enemy first, set my distance for the rifle at the bottom of the screen, and then aim at the triangle. If I miss, I'll aim up or down slightly based on how far away he is and what my rifle is set for. If the guy turns out to be 480 meters away, I set my rifle for 500 and aim just below the triangle. Always make sure the vertical line of the scope is always lined up with the middle of that triangle, or the bullet will almost never hit the target if its over 200+ meters away. Setting the distance on the rifle is the biggest improvement over Battlefield 3. In BF3 you had to aim inches above enemies heads and always adjust for the bullet drop. But with that range / distance setting, bullet drop is way easier to manage now.

Thats an interesting method. I usally see where the bullet hits and adjust elevation from there. Sniping someone on the move is satisfying but really difficult unless they are headed towards or away from you in a straight line. Hitting snipers and flag cappers is the way to go. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing your bullet drop straight into a small puff of red when you score that headshot. lol The best place to snipe is Hainan Resort. If you start on the Chinese side you just have to walk until you see the resort, prone and set your scope distance to 300 or 400. I cant remember which, but once you get the right one you should pop skulls camping the top of the resort with dead center crosshairs . I've gone 9-15 kills in a match without dying. You wont get much XP, but you'll do some damage to your sniper rifle progression. You just have to watch out for chopper/jet ditchers that get on top of that rusted ship... but if you keep an eye on that too you should take anyone out with ease becuase they are pretty exposed. I think the scope has to be set to 200 for that location. I marked it on the map... I think. Its been a while.
