I cleaned up my bounties and got the moat of light I needed to buy the Exotic Engram.... what do ya know? I got myself an exotic helm! Two things from Xur in one day... I call that a successful play session. Its real adjustment switching from hand cannons to pulse rifle. I'll reserve my judgement until I max it out, but I still like my blue hand cannon better. Over the years I've went from a spray and pray run and gun type mentality with the MP5, Type 100, AK47, FAL Full Auto on COD, to a precision shooter starting with the DMR's on Battlefield, M14 on PAYDAY2, and now scout rifles and hand cannons on Destiny. I love the one shot head pop. I'm kinda missing it right now, but I'm looking forward to this guns perks... and my defender class is shaping up quite nicely to be a good companion to it. I also farmed some Old Russia public events. The timer showed its flaws when I first landed in.... The Steppes public event launched and it wasn't due for another 16 minutes according to the website. I was able to get the Mothyard and Divide events to spawn for me. I have the least success at the Forgotten Shore, even though its uncommon and not rare. Skywatch is highly reliable one, but I'm too lazy to run through the hive room and the subsequent battle between hive and fallen just to get to it. Its only a minute ahead of Mothyard so I just stick with that area since it is close and seems to have a good success rate of triggering.
