i was planning to buy more but i was caught up with playing games that i purchased earlier so the sale ended before i could get more. oh well

I went to Ohio to visit my family for Thanksgiving. Yes, there is covid, but we were careful. We did restaurant style rules for eating, masks on when getting plates of food, my brother's familys at their own tables all 6 foot+ away from the other tables while eating. We kept our masks on near my dad because of his immune system being compromised by the cancer treatments. Aside from that we kept the windows open to keep fresh air circulating in. We took our masks off when we'd be 6 feet away from him and each other. Its good that my mom's house is so big, the kitchen/greatroom is literally big enough to have parties of 50 people. Our handful of people was able to keep distances pretty easily. Its been 4 days since Thanksgiving and nobody is coming down with any covid symptoms so I'm guessing we did good. It was a fun time. Alot of good memories. I hardly ever visit Ohio during winter months because of winter snow storms in NY. We lucked out and its been in the 50s and only raining off and on. I caught a ride back and forth with my cousin who now lives in NY also. He had a covid test done the day before we left which was negative and I quarantined in my house for 2 weeks leading up to the trip. I'll be quarantining again for another 2 weeks just in case, but that doesn't bother me much.

"Meanwhile her husband lost his sense of taste and was sick for only a day." the post office lady i mentioned in earlier post said she was sick for 2 weeks and she said she still couldnt taste anything either. so yeah i ate that turkey that customer brought and that evening i came down with the exact same sickness that i suffered a month prior. it also lasted only a day so hey what a coincidence O_o. -------------------------- this is really heartbreaking. theres a bar across the street from my workplace and its been closed for months. im not complaining bc my work is considered essential and im not suffering financially for now but like the lady said in the video, its practically samething like we both sell food and beer but ones still open and ones closed. we arent bombarded with strict covid restrictions like restaurants and bars have to deal with. we only need a few visible mask signs here and there and thats about it. even though i dont feel strongly about covid being that serious, it feels like these covid regulations are made up as you go like ones way too extreme while others are way too lenient. everyones like saying we should have all closed down everything for 2 weeks when ppl were panic buying and prepared to stay home when everyones literally scared for life earlier this year. now most ppl want their jobs back and becoming more bitter about another looming lockdowns.

I was going to post my thanksgiving info in this topic, but I forgot and made it a status update. https://www.ancientclan.com/profile/1-sledgstone/?status=1609&type=status The one downside of the covid for my thanksgiving is we all did "virtual hugs" with my dad. When we wanted to give him a hug, we'd see him across the table or if we were 6 feet away or so, we'd say "virtual hug" and do the hugging motion at each other. With covid, we had to be careful because hes a prime target for that virus. My younger brother and his wife got covid tests 2 days before thanksgiving too since his sister in law and her husband both covid and tested positive for it this time. His father in law and 2 others in their family also got it, but never got the covid test and decided they'd go ahead and keep working in public instead of using sick time. wtf. And people wonder why covid is spreading like crazy. "Its just the sniffles, I'm ok." but the other brother had a temp of 103 for 3 days last I heard. And the sister in law was bedridden for 4 days with an almost constant temp of 102. wtf. Meanwhile her husband lost his sense of taste and was sick for only a day. But the sense of taste was gone for like 4 days. This covid hits everyone different.
