Wind waker was surprisingly more fun than I thought it would have been except for the endless boating around looking for crap sunk in the ocean that happened at least once.
  2. I think one of the problems with me getting burned out on multiplayer is because every game has a multiplayer mode. Last of us, tomb raider, god of war, every fps game, destiny, etc. With so many games having multiplayer, the games that are made just for multiplayer are looking less and less attractive to me unless it is something new or unique or has a solid campaign that lasts longer than a couple afternoons to beat.
  3. It was ridiculous. We were all capped at level 8 but ppl must have farmed the strike for the best level 8 gear there was and it made a huge difference in the iron banner matches.

You could play binding of Isaac on steam. It was definitely inspired by the old Zelda games. Although I would love to play a game similar to twilight princess instead. I hate the wii u touch screen controls. If Nintendo had a regular controller I'd have probably bought a wii u just for their first party titles.
  5. BF4 still blows cod advanced warfare out of the water. Lol. And even tho this new game will have some modes with 9 players I know there will never be any real team work in the game. Every game mode is tdm with no gadgets or support items that would even encourage team work. Oh.. but now you can join in on someone's kill streak for 5-10 seconds which means almost nobody will actually use that particular one.
  6. I agree with that. Self hosting is great to keep a game going, especially if it had a bot mode to fill empty player slots too. But self hosting sucks for me. I always had lag deaths and kills through walls with horrible hit detection that was caused by that lag compensation. I will admit that this game does look much more enjoyable than ghosts. I'll wait to read reviews for the campaign though. I've got other games I'm interested in and by the time I'd get to Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3 will probably be out.
  7. That box is now one of the most unrealistic things I've ever seen in a game with so much realism. I hope they add a picture of Arnold from Commando to that box. It could be an easter egg.. if you stand up with it, Arnold is on the box and 5 enemies instantly die.
  8. I enjoyed the multiplayer in the alpha, but I tried a couple Iron Banner matches in the beta and I doubt I'll ever play Iron Banner matches again. The regular crucible matches were somewhat balanced in terms of levels but not weapons.. but the Iron Banner matches were all players and weapons unbalanced with full level advantages. All the people sitting on their sh*t buckets that played 20 hours a day must have enjoyed it because I didn't stand a chance in that, at least in the matches I got into.

Aside from some lighting and rain effects, it looks like Nintendo used the Zelda Windwaker engine and made a game for PS4.
  10. At least sledgehammer is trying to add something more to the same old game. The new things I noticed.. everyone now has crazy jumping abilities thanks to those exo-skeletons, you can play as a female and there are some 9 vs 9 matches. The tsunami map seems cool, but I've already seen similar map transitions in BF4 almost a year ago now. And still... no dedicated servers. Self hosting lag compensation = garbage. At least in Battlefield 4 we can blame issues on the netcode.
  11. Thats some impressive numbers for Sony.
  12. This is pretty cool and could be very useful for future oil spills. http://www.iflscience.com/physics/scientists-develop-water-tractor-beam#2degAcAppcXbBVkG.99
  13. EA Access has launched for Xbox One. The subscription costs $4.99 a month or $30 a year and gives you access to a collection of EA games that you can download, install and play. It sounds like a good deal and it includes Battlefield 4 in the list of games you have access to. However, it looks like DLC is not included in the subscription and certain popular titles are strangely absent from the service, including Titanfall. The most interesting feature of EA Access to me is that many new EA games will be free for five days prior to the game launch as an early access feature. Those games would then turn off and would be available for digital purchase. I'm guessing EA will leave new games as digital purchases only for a year before adding them to their EA Access Vault. This also might be EA's way of making a hybrid Free to play style of gaming. You get the base game in the subscription, but the DLC will be EA's gold mine. Interesting enough, Sony has no interest in having the EA Access subscription on their network stating: EA Access could be a good bargain depending on how well it works out. But then again EA is known for winning "Worst Company in America." Sources: http://www.ea.com/eaaccess/ & GameInformer Also, Kotaku has a good FAQ regarding EA Access: http://kotaku.com/how-ea-access-will-work-according-to-ea-1616944110 This post has been promoted to an article

  15. Robin Williams has died of a suspected suicide. RIP Robin. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/robin-williams-dies-suspected-suicide-724724
  16. lmao. That is just like the tickets system at the Putt-Putt arcade I always went to as a kid. I could have gotten a Super Star Wars game for SNES in their prize case for 8,000 tickets. It took me almost 2 years to acquire that many.. I played so much skee-ball. lol. One day the game disappeared. I don't think anyone claimed it. The manager probably gave it to his kid. I kept getting more tickets in hope of it returning. Other games popped up in that case over that time and the prices kept going up. By the time I hit 8,000 tickets the only SNES game they had at that point was F-Zero and it was 25,000 tickets. wtf. I stopped my pursuit and traded my tickets in. I got 2 crappy particle wood airplanes that probably cost $0.25 at the dollar store. Both airplanes broke that afternoon.
  17. I'm pretty sure I still have some games with those stickers. Last time I was there I bought their $15 a year membership for the magazine subscription. If not for the magazine the membership seems rather pointless. Aside from a small discount on used games it offers no significant savings.
  18. I got screwed by gamestop years ago when I pre-ordered Prince of Persia Warrior Within.. I was suppose to get an artbook with the pre-order. I went there after work, got my game.. which was actually opened.. they put the game back in the case and stickered it closed. wtf. and then they informed me they never received any of the artbooks and that I should have pre-ordered at their other location in the large mall instead because "all the pre-order bonuses are shipped there." That game was for PS2 and it was the last game I bought at any physical gamestop location until I picked up Watch Dogs for PS4 a few months ago. If they screw up my Destiny pre-order, I probably wont buy a game at this store again until the Playstation 6 is released.
  19. Walmart and best buy have both started canceling destiny ghost and limited edition pre orders because of over selling. I haven't heard anything from game stop so I'm assuming those orders will be fine. http://www.vg247.com/2014/08/06/destiny-limited-ghost-edition-per-orders-cancelled-best-buy/ I wonder how many ebay sellers bought the hell out of them just to resell. It's like they are concert ticket scalpers.
  20. I think I've owned it on steam for over a year now because of a bundle purchase and I haven't touched it yet.
  21. I just ordered Walking Dead Season 4 bluray from Bestbuy for $30. :D

  22. Twitch is now deleting all past broadcasts unless they are set as "Highlights" which is annoying.. but I like the new export feature. You can now stream to twitch, then export that video to your youtube account to permanently save the clip. I tried doing this tonight and got an error message stating that their exporting function is currently down due to heavy load. http://kotaku.com/twitch-cracks-down-on-music-in-videos-users-freak-out-1617252906
  23. The PS4 needs some games.. In the mean time, I'm getting a huge collection of games for PS3. Dragon's Crown looks like the best game this month.
  24. It took me a second to realize it.. the 100+ star colonial sniped / headshot people in completely different maps.
  25. That movie was not good. It had so many inconsistencies when compared to the game. If they'd have made a movie with Mark Hamill it would have been awesome.
