Battlefield 4 Sniping Long Distance Moving Target
Sledgstone posted a blog entry in Battlefield 4 Videos
Battlefield 4 Long Range Sniping 978 Meter Headshot with the SRR-61. This guy was a great target. The game had a glitch unfortunately. After my initial hit, I didn't see the actual hit marker or bolt action animation. Even so, it was a great shot for me.-

The first Mega Man X was the perfect Mega Man game for me. All the rest of the mega man games from that point on where insanely difficult. Its one of the few games that I wish would give me a damn easy setting. Those games frustrated the hell out of me. I'd rather play and enjoy the game instead of replaying the same stages over and over again just to memorize enemy attack patterns.

inFAMOUS Second Son utilizes PS4's Touchpad
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Video Games
The game sounds like fun so far. Aside from going around gaining control of areas and getting powerups, hows the story of the game playing out so far? Did it give you some flashbacks to the guy's origins and how he developed his powers? Do you have the PS4 camera? I think I read that the light bar works only in conjunction with the camera. If you don't have the camera, then maybe the controller was using it's internal motion sensors? If thats the case then the PS4 controller is even more versatile seeing as it has some Wii like functionality. The PS4 share button is a bastard now. It never saves the right clips or it won't save a clip at all for me as if my video capture space is full. But what I found out from trial and error is this.. Double hit that share button to start recording, forget about it for a while, then when you see something you want to save, hit the share button once. Because of the initial double tap, it'll record for 15 minutes or until you hit the share button. But from what I've been experiencing.. it'll stop recording at 15 mins and then the very next time you hit the button it will save the correct footage. This worked good for you before if I remember right.. But after that, double tap that share button to start recording the next 15 mins again. Keep repeating this after every clip you want to save to ensure it will save the next clip, and so on. So far this has been working out for me as you can tell from the sniping videos I shared on facebook. Its just annoying having to fill up my capture space on the hard drive with pointless clips just to save the one or two that I want. I'm now deleting all capture videos at the end of the day now after I upload the clips I want. The only time this kind of screwed me was when I saved a tank video last night. I was going to make a video of my entire tank run with how I got 2 tank ribbons and a 10 kill streak, but when I hit the share button when I died.. the system saved the initial 15 minute recording that I started and then another clip of 2 1/2 minutes.. my entire tank video was broken into two clips, the last 5 mins of the initial 15 and then the second part of 2 1/2 mins. Oh well.. at least it actually saves the damn videos now. It also worked good for when I was sniping.. I double tapped the button, got a kill 5 mins later, hit the share button once and it stopped the initial 15 min recording for exactly the clip I wanted. Of course we can't predict when something amazing will happen, so I'm going to start double tapping that share button every 20-30 mins or so in case I do something amazing.- 19 replies

Vikings Season 2 Episode Discussion (possible spoilers)
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Movies, TV & Books
Welcome to AC, teamlagertha! I agree.. I can't stand Aslaug either. Aside from an occasional prophecy she might have, she offers nothing as a character except for being a baby factory for Ragnar and a possible fight with Lagertha. -
Vikings Season 2 Episode Discussion (possible spoilers)
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Movies, TV & Books
Rollo has really improved himself. He was completely self destructive before, but now he can become a much better character. I hope Lagertha popped one his testies with that knee bash. I really thought Athelstan was about to die in that last scene. -
Thats a good point. Titanfall 2 could be very epic.

It looks like PC players have already been unlocking the new weapons and gadgets because their profiles are showing them as already owning the new DLC. Unfortunately, we can't unlock anything yet on PS4 until we actually download Naval Strike. Anyway, I read on twitter that the new Anti Aircraft mine was already fixed because of an exploit.. and they also put it in the same category as launchers. The fact that DICE had it equipable along with stingers in a single load out boggles my mind. As if helicopters don't have a hard enough time against mobile aa and stingers already, they thought half a team running with aa mines and stingers could have worked out fine. wtf. I'm glad there is an assignment for the new aa mine. With more people using it instead of stingers, helicopters might have a better chance.

Good! I'm sure EA must have been paid well by MS for the Titanfall exclusive.. but they probably made that agreement before they realized the PS4 would do so well. They'd have probably made much more money by releasing it on all platforms. They say the grunts are powered by MS's cloud servers, but I don't think I'm buying into that. EA knows how to run servers, even if they do it crappily.. they could have easily had this game on PS4.

I'm glad they're showing the progress they are making towards completing the game. At 1:01 you can see Mighty No. 9 shooting at a diagonal. I'm starting to think this game will have similar controls to A.R.E.S. which is another mega man inspired game. In A.R.E.S. you can shoot in all angles by using the right analog stick or shoot directly ahead, or maybe for Mighty No. 9, do power up shots by pressing and / or holding the attack button while jumping and dashing. The 3D side scroller design of this game is very similar to the way Worms Revolution looks compared to Worms Reloaded.

I'm definitely buying this game later this year. Exclusives are a good selling point too. I hope the visuals are top notch for PS4 and they don't dumb down the graphics to match up more with older gen limitations.

inFAMOUS Second Son utilizes PS4's Touchpad
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Video Games
I hope this game covers a good chunk of previous plot lines from the first two games so we're not left in the dark. I never played the second one and I only got about 5 hours into the first game so I have no idea how direct of a sequel this game is compared to being a stand alone game. btw, after playing KOTOR, I realized that infamous was emulating the light / dark side choices of the game and calling it "karma". Just in the first couple hours that I played Infamous, I could have easily chosen to be an evil bastard.. but I decided to walk the path of the light and help those around me. I know that your powers as you level up would be affected by how good or evil your karma was.. same with the reactions of characters you encounter. Second Son could have some decent replayability if you want to see all the karma options.- 19 replies

Walmart Video Game Trade-In Rates Blow Away Gamestop
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Video Games
EB Games was the place to be for any games on launch days! Update! These walmart trade in rates being so high is a glitch in their system. In store rates are different. The glitch seems to cause the highest paying games to be random PS4 games. Like that Call of Duty Ghosts trade in value for PS4 is $38 but the Xbox One trade in value is $13.61. This looks like a huge glitch. -
This headset should be interesting. If Sony allows third parties to make this accessory, then Oculous Rift could be a potential alternative to the official Sony brand. Along with Valve supposedly making their own VR hardware for their Steam Machines, Xbox One seems like the odd man out.

Windows XP Support will end April 8, 2014
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Science & Technology
I was thinking about this today and I'm not so certain XP will be safe until later this year. The more I think about it.. there is a set date for when support will end and MS will stop issuing patches. If some malicious people out there want to take full advantage of this, they'll horde their newest XP exploits and start using them the day after support ends to maximize their efficiency... Yeah.. I don't think I'll access any of my bank account info on my XP system after that deadline just to be careful. I found this rather shocking. 95 percent of U.S. ATMS are running Windows XP. http://www.marketplace.org/topics/tech/95-percent-us-atms-run-windows-xp Many banks are now paying MS for security updates for their ATMs.- 12 replies

Battlefield 4 Dragon's Teeth expansion includes ballistic shield

Did you get points for blocking bullets? Or did you only get points for kills with shield bashing? Getting points for blocking bullets would definitely inspire more people to be a shield man.- 16 replies

Walmart has started directly competing with Gamestop. You can now trade in your old games on Walmart's website or in store. They are paying much higher rates than Gamestop too. Newer games are getting trade in values around $35 each. Don't expect Walmart to give you handfuls of money though, you can only get Walmart gift cards for your trade ins..
