I'm confused as to what I'm seeing.. It looks promising, but I don't know what the game is.. Space simulation.. MMO.. FPS adventure like Destiny? Hmm... I am interested in this for now though considering there is an entire universe to explore and space battles. That one sand planet with the giant sand worms looked a lot like Dune.

Telltale Games to make Tales from the Borderlands.
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Video Games
I'll play this game.. but I'll hold off on buying it until its a complete set. Episodes for $20-$25 a piece is costly.- 2 replies

I used the testing range to get a grip on how sniping works on BF4.. The range finder is amazing. All sniper rifles let you adjust the range of the scope by hitting the down d-pad while scoped in. This is a huge improvement over BF3. If someone is about 200 meters or so away, hit the d-pad down to 200, then aim right at the guy's head. By adjusting the range of the scope, it will automatically shoot the bullet high to compensate for bullet drop. This is huge for me. If I can figure out how to post a video I uploaded to FB on here I'll show you what I mean. Anyway, the range finder works like the airburst range finder. Basically point your sights at an enemy, the range finder tells you how far away that target is. If the target is 420 meters away, set the scope range to 400, then aim just a hair above their head to compensate for the extra 20.. boom, headshot. Without the range finder attached to the scope, you'll have to guess the range from experience.

All future Battlefield 4 expansions and all other future projects (Star Wars Battlefront) are put on hold at DICE until they fix the issues plaguing Battlefield 4 according to an EA spokesperson that spoke with Polygon the other day: There are some definite problems with BF4. Luckily I have not experienced any game breaking issues like I have seen raged about on twitter. I'm glad DICE is focusing on getting these issues resolved. Unfortunately they are delaying Star Wars Battlefront III because they have to fix a game that was released on 5 different platforms. Releasing a next gen game on 7 year old hardware might not have been the best idea. Sources: Polygon & VG247 Click here to view the article

Everything You Need to Know about the Destiny BETA!
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Video Games
Obviously COD Ghosts had no problems with supporting 5 platforms.. especially considering that game was all based off old tech. It wouldn't surprise me if the next COD after Ghosts was still released on PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as next gen. But some of these developers are shooting themselves in the foot. They have all this new tech at their disposal and they have to make 2 versions of the game and turn down effects, graphics, change controller layouts, etc. all to release the game on even more outdated systems than initially thought, because of all the delays. Destiny coming out for PS3 and Xbox 360 almost a year after the next gen systems came out seems pointless to me unless the games are cross platform like DC Universe, with the old gen systems still playing in the same servers, but with restricted graphics. -
I need to get the SCAR-H unlocked, the first couple weapons for these kits are not that great. I had to change my helicopter buttons back to lefty veteran. I couldn't get the hang of the stick only controls. Looks like I'll have to hit level 10 and then 20 to unlock most of the initial assignments. My brother had to tell me about the level requirements for assignments.. I thought something was busted because I wasn't getting any assignments done. This game looks amazing on the PS4. Its a shame they don't have squad in menus, server queues or load outs in the menu.. Those 3 basic features from BF3 were amazingly useful compared to trying to get into a match with a friend now. If I had 10+ friends in different matches, I didn't see any way of seeing what friends were in what matches for me to join.

Yeah.. after we finished playing BF4 tonight, I cranked the game's brightness up for the last match and everything was more visible.

Everything You Need to Know about the Destiny BETA!

I think the multi-platform option all these developers chose was stupid. BF4 should have been a next-gen release only game. Instead they're splitting their support teams into fixing a broken game on 5 platforms instead of 3.. and its a noticeable issue for DICE/EA right now. Watchdogs is probably delayed because of current gen system errors. If not for ps3 and xbox 360, they could have focused on getting the game done and released by now. -
Sony needs to hurry up and add some new titles to their PSN store. I still don't understand why the PS4 store is separate from the PS3 store. It all uses the same profile, same funds, same login.. but on PS3 I can buy PS3, Vita and PSP games.. but no PS4 games. And the PSN store on PS4 has about 10 games for sale, and thats it. If they got some new titles on there I'd like to buy, I would. If they released that TMNT brawler on PS4 for $15 or less like on steam, I'd buy it. Trine 2 complete for $19.99 seems steep. I know its that price on Steam too, but I bought it in a humble bundle for a couple dollars. With so many games getting delayed for the system, I'm really wondering what titles will be available over the next 1-3 months.

Its interesting.. but some of the puzzles were confusing me a bit.. If anything, I think I need to turn the brightness on my TV up because unlit areas are almost too dark to see ledges.

Everything You Need to Know about the Destiny BETA!
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Video Games
Thats basically a year from now. It better not have any issues considering the late release date. I'm really looking forward to this game, but they need to make sure they get the bugs out. Defiance was so buggy I have no interest in buying another game from Trion.. period. I've never owned a Bungie game and my initial experience with them will be this game. I hope they don't drop the ball. I'd rather they keep delaying it until it has solid functionality and gameplay. -
I sucked at BF4 tonight. I need to get some more practice in.. Its such a huge difference from 12 vs 12.
-
They were annoying. On one match, I was on the other team because I had to rejoin after the game froze.. the guy on my squad for the first couple minutes wasn't even speaking english.
If you had your mic on, it must have been blocked by your own NAT error, because I heard other people through my headset, but not you. My old router was such a pain in the ass, I had to set my PS3's IP# as DMZ just to play Black ops 2.
-
I didn't say anything . My NAT type has always been on open. I wonder what's up.
-
Thats odd. Maybe because you played in complete silence it didn't pick up anything, but then again your mic icon didn't have the sound waves going. I dunno. Knowing me I probably had mine muted by accident. I was drinking at the time.

I got my hands on a PS4 and so far, I'm not overly impressed. lol. I really need to get my hands on a next gen game to see this system's full potential. Out of the box though, the system is smaller than my PS3 slim, it weighs less and the controller is noticeably more comfortable in my hands. As it is, it feels like an upgraded PS3. The share option seems nice. Once you hit the share button it will save the video footage of the game you are playing, plus the previous 15 minutes for editing and uploading. I haven't tried it yet though. The controller speaker caught me by surprise. It was noticeably loud.. it was as loud as basic tv speakers, which really surprised me. The controller also has a cool looking touchpad which is also a pushable button.. I was hoping I could have used that touchpad for easy swype typing, but it does not appear to have that functionality. There is no PS Home, but instead of interacting with people's avatars, the system lets me easily interact with real people via watching their game streams or shows. I have my PSN ID set to only show my username and it looks like many people are using that same option. I like that my PSN account is the same as my PS3, but when I view friends online I don't see how to distinguish if someone is online on their PS3 or PS4.. and when I was on PS3, I could not see any of my friends online if they were logged into their PS4s. It seems a bit odd that I could potentially send a friend a message and they'd only see me as offline. This system must be all about the games because there isn't many huge features that are must needs for me to justify the cost of the system. However, I need some next gen titles to take full advantage of what this console's hardware was built for. Once I experience some newer titles, I'm sure I'll be impressed. But aside from Battlefield 4, there really isn't that many games available. I'm looking forward to Destiny and Watchdogs, but with no other games drawing my attention right now, I'll probably put my extra spending cash into a BF4 premium upgrade to get all the DLC. For all the people out there struggling to get a hold of one of these systems right now, I highly suggest that if they do get the PS4 that they buy some next gen games to go with it and not rely on the free PS+ games to fulfill their gaming needs.

I started playing this tonight. I'm probably half way through the game at this point, just a couple hours in. Its an interesting concept for a game, but there really isn't much to it.

I'll be most of Saturday from 1pm on. Maybe the SCAR-H was getting a 1 hit kill with every third bullet.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (spoilers)
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Video Games
I missed the one assassin mission on Dantooine because it was destroyed.. But I did get the other two major assassinations done. That Hulas guy used me! He had me kill the other genoharadan overseers. Seeing as I got dark side points for killing these people, I went for one more.. I confronted him on Tatooine and killed him off. I also ran into this guy named Xor who apparently was the guy that killed Juhani's father.. We ended up killing him and I talked her out of finishing him off personally. I should have let her kill him tho, he'd have deserved it. He sounded like he should have been human.. he talked like he was a human on Taris because he referenced 'all the non humans' or something like that.. so I looked him up on a wiki and he was a human in the original xbox version.. its odd they didn't change some of that dialogue when they changed his species. I've finished up almost all the sub quests that I wanted done and I'm finally back on Korriban to find the last star map and to see what happened to Carth's son. -
I'll have my PS4 and BF4 by friday. We should team up and try to dominate some people.

It does look like Daryl has some immunity from death considering his huge fan base. I hope Carl lasts the longest. I didn't care for his character at first, but as hes been aging with the show, I like the fact that hes gone so far.. first he was a little kid, a momma's boy, zombie apocalypse survivor, zombie killer, human killer.. I'm really interested in seeing where his character goes and what his fate will be.

Damn. That sucks ass. They need to nerf stingers.. In all of BF3, I've only seen maybe 2 people be absolutely amazing with attack helicopters. Both people were amazing at flying low, in between buildings.. they had the maps so memorized they knew where people were locking onto them from, based upon what building, structure, tree or hill they ducked behind would block the lock.. then after some quick maneuvering around said objects, would rain down rockets on that engineer completely dominating infantry.

I figure in another 2 seasons, we'll all look back on Season 3 and 4 and remember Hershel as much as we remember Dale now. Theres what.. 5 people left from the original group now? Rick, Carl, Daryl, Carol and Glen.. I figure at least 1 of these people will survive the entire series, but then again.. maybe not.
-
It sucks that attack helicopters can so easily be taken down by stingers. It'll force good chopper pilots to fly low, but with good RPGers and tanks on the ground, they can still be taken out quick. Do you know if its possible to have Stealth, Fire Extinguisher and ECM Jammers equipped all at once?

They had to kill Hershel off.. There would be no way he could out run walkers.. He moved around good enough on the show thanks to his prosthetic, but if he had to run, he'd be dead. And the baby.. they might as well have a yipping dog with them giving away their location in the middle of the night. If baby Judith is dead, then they'd have taken out the two things that would have screwed them the most in a horde of zombies. I have a feeling the baby is still alive tho. Those kids probably took her out of the baby carrier because it was too heavy. Maybe they comically used its as an attack against a zombie, by throwing it on a walker's head while they escaped, thus leaving the blood stains in it.

What did I see at the end there!? Was that air superiority with helicopters? Or is that a conquest map with mass attack helis!?
