  1. Installing and loading games on an SSD would be much faster. But the cost for size is still way too high. I'm surprised the PS4 doesn't come with a 1TB drive considering how big some games will get. We'll be lucky to have 10 games installed at a time. SSD of the same size would probably work good for downloading and playing on the fly though. I'm wondering if a SSD would give someone an advantage on a host based game like COD. If their computer was host and it would literally load everything faster than the other systems could, that brief second could attribute to a lot of potential lag kills. I don't know if that would be the case or not, but its got me thinking. I'm glad multiplayer games will all be server based so people shouldn't be able to get an advantage like that.
  2. I like what I see. Hes more like a Roboninjacop thanks to his speed.
  3. SSD is a huge difference. Eppy has one in his laptop.. He impressed the hell out of me with that. There is basically no loading time because there is no internal disk spinning around collecting information.. He hit the power button and within seconds the entire operating system and applications were all loaded and ready.
  4. Most of asia is low on women. They place far too much preference on males for cultural, manual labor and religious reasons.. gender selected artificial insemination and gender specific abortions push the gender gap even further. Instead of a nice diversified group of space travelers, we'll have a sausage fest up in space. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_sex_ratio
  5. Its so amazing how much more of the movie is visible when there are no lens flares filling the screen. On another note.. when it finally does happen, that ship will probably be Indian or Chinese. The U.S. will have to pay for more seats and transportation. http://www.npr.org/blogs/parallels/2013/11/05/242997561/china-sets-ambitious-agenda-in-asian-space-race
  6. Creamy Sriracha sauce at Subway is Sriracha mixed with mayo.. and its a laxative. Stay away from the Subway Sriracha! >_<

They closed the only Quiznos near me over 2 years ago. :\ We usually make our own subs. But with Subway being one of the few food places within a 2 minute drive from my house, its hard to pass up a quick dinner. They don't have the freshest meat, thats for certain.. all pre-sliced and plastic packaged. Fresh sliced from the deli is best. I usually get something I don't want to make myself.. like toasted teriyaki chicken with sweet onion dressing. That dressing would be great on a...

      Man that sucks... the few times I end up at subway i have them drench my sandwich in southwest sauce... their roast beef is tasteless. -_-;

I refused to ever try the roast beef or those pieces of grilled chicken that look like a rubber dog toy. ewww.

  7. oh what the hell.. I completely missed that! I was watching it on one of those starz channels.. I think they cut off that part or I walked away and missed it! I need an Army of Darkness 2.. yes.. that would be awesome.
  8. I forgot about that. The ISS is low orbit.. but even when I try to catch a glimpse of it in the sky at night, its always just below the tree line for me. NASA had a good page showing its flight path, but I haven't looked at it in a long time. l think I had some Gundam Wing on my mind when I was thinking about large space construction. They made those colonies in the Lagrange points so they wouldn't have to worry about a degrading orbit. If NASA chose one of those locations, it'd probably make their construction easier. I suppose we are the only ones discussing this, oh well, we can stop. Yay science!
  9. lol. I tried doing a different part of this scene and trying to get the big wheel bottle to enlarge and match up with the movement of the scene was too much for me. I could probably do it, but the bottle would be moving randomly and look so much worse than Syfy special effects.
  10. I think I'll hold off on trying to stream anything for a while. My laptop can't seem to handle anything advanced.

  11. At least they can stay alive long enough to revive. x_x One of the best AIs I have seen is on StarCraft. I can play a multiplayer match, team up with a friend, an AI team mate and play against a couple other bots. These bots know what they are doing. If I set 3 bots on medium difficulty they make me feel like a newb. Even the AI teammate makes my play style look like crap. lol. I'll be in the process of building up some ground forces and my AI buddy already has tanks and aircraft, is attacking an enemy stronghold and helping fortify my base. wtf.
  12. Its probably a good thing they didn't increase the amount of players.. The Xbox One version would have probably dropped down to 480p if it was 10 vs. 10.

  14. That was my understanding too. What I'd like to see is a windows upgrade option at purchase. If they could sell it with windows preinstalled and optimized it would be alot easier than formating the entire hard drive, installing an operating system with all updates and then downloading all the compatable drivers. Installing Windows 7 at this point will require most of an entire day of downloading/installing/rebooting/repeating and thats not including installing all the drivers that aren't auto-recognized. x_x
  15. Lmao. Bots reviving people is the biggest problem with AI in games. That Ghostbusters Sanctum of Slime was horrible with reviving. Instead of clearing out the last couple enemies in a room, they'll stop what they are doing to revive the other bot.. then that bot dies.. then I start reviving one of them only to have the last remaining bot run from the other side of the screen to start reviving the same guy I'm reviving, even though he passed another dead bot. Stupid bots. There are some rooms where enemies will spill out of 3 or 4 spots.. do the AI stand in those spots to instant kill the enemies? Nooo.. instead they walk around attacking randomly, activating more enemie spawning. The nice thing about Fuse was as soon as you die, you can swap over to the bot and take over. I'd like to see that as a more common option in games, especially for single player bot assisted campaigns.

  18. I think the average will probably remain lower from here on out because of all the people buying the $1 minimum bundles. Instead of gifting a duplicate key to someone, its forcing people to buy an extra $1 bundle to give out to friends. I just double checked something.. out of both the weekly and regular bundles, only 1 game is currently available for linux which is Super Frog HD. As nice as an official valve machine running Steam OS might be, if it is exclusively Steam OS aka Linux only, I'll have to pass on it for a windows based steam machine. Unless they get the Steam OS to play windows games via wine or some other application, then about 90% of the games in my library will not be playable on it. I hope their Steam OS will play windows games.
  19. Wow. They even re-used a scene. Thats is so lazy of them.
  20. Thats probably good for me. lol. It'll probably still kill the hell out of me.
  21. It sounds enjoyable. At least its a mission that can be beaten, unlike the zombie mode of Black Ops 2.. It was fun at first, but its never ending hordes and there is no goal or mission to beat. Just play until you die.. it got boring pretty quick.
  22. The space debris problem is insane. I think the movie Gravity was focused around space debris destroying the space station in a worse case scenerio. With all that debris, the logistics of actually clearing it all out would be too massive an undertaking. Good point about the project possibly needing adjustments during construction, I'm sure the space station needed adjustments during its construction too. Low orbit satelites need those small adjustments because they hit trace particles of the earths atmosphere that eventually causes the orbit to fail. Its a slow process tho and I think alot of that space junk is farther out that its not affected. As for the China missile shooting down a sattelite.. thats nothing compared the U.S. and Soviet Union exploding nukes in higher orbits than the ISS is currently at. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-altitude_nuclear_explosion The U.S. and Soviet Union also have anti-satellite missiles too. I'm sure they must have tested them at different points too, adding to the space debris. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-satellite_weapon
  23. I figure I'm just establishing a good launch collection for when I eventually get a steam machine.
  24. As long as the bots are good enough that you can actually beat the game, then I'll be pleased. Unlike Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime.. it had the dumbest AI I have ever seen. The game is unbeatable with those crappy bots.
  25. I think thats another example of how the PS3 was harder to program for and optimize. Considering this game was based off the same code as MW2, it probably looks about the same as MW2 / MW3 did on those systems. The lighting and colors are a huge improvement. The PS3 always seemed to struggle with darkness. I had to adjust my contrast and brightness a couple different times to get the best quality out of it. But I'm surprised Ghost looks like that on PS3. BF3, Last of Us and Tomb Raider all looked much better than that and those are all older games.
