Another thing I noticed with Twitch since the last time I used it.. They deleted all my previous videos and turned off auto archiving (recording) by default. So my game play last night didn't get saved. I changed that setting to auto archive and I'll have to remember to permanently save the video before twitch auto deletes it after 4-7 days. I'm surprised twitch is having storage limitation issues. Considering they'll have streaming for both of the next gen consoles coming out, I'm assuming they'll get hammered by traffic. Maybe they'll start putting storage caps on accounts or prevent video saving for ps4 and xbox one.

I was worried I was going to damage myself with the bomb fruit explosion but I don't think I was getting hit by it. That first giant seemed easy for some reason. I think I got lucky with it because those two giants were a pain. I didn't even try dodging thru them. I assumed I'd have to jump over them and instead I'd get stuck in between them and get hit from behind. lol. I noticed that I was better off spamming X in front of them to get a parry off. Once they were both dazed, their hit points dropped drastically per hit compared to my normal attacks.

I don't know if you noticed or not, but those two rock giants almost killed me 3 different times. I was spamming "mysterious wall chickens". I think I used 4 of them to stay alive. I love that dust storm move. It definitely seems like the most effective attack.

lmao.

I haven't come across that issue. I usually just copy and paste from the url bar. But I do have the editor set to paste as plain text. Maybe thats the issue?

I noticed that dodge issue.. I dodged toward them and put my back right up to them. I think next time I play I'll attack an enemy, then dodge through them and continue attacking. He should auto turn around and keep attacking the same guy from behind. I need to work on my combos more. I keep hitting X one too many times and I don't get the second combo off. I think my stream worked good, but I lost the connection twice right at the end. I'll double check my settings. I got a lag at one point too.. that might have been because steam opened 3 tabs trying to sell me more stuff. lol.

I'll be streaming some Dust until 10pm if I get it working correctly.

Oh shit.. I just realized if I left my PS3 on, I can tell it to download right through the website. I did not know that. I guess the only thing the site can't do is remotely turn on my PS3.

I don't know if you know this or not, but even without a PS3, you can still sign into your Playstation account online and pre-order digital PS4 games right now: https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/ Sony integrated the PSN store into their SEN site a while back. I can log into it, buy a digital game, turn on my PS3 when I get home and start downloading.

The one thing COD has going for it over BF is the fact they use steam. Origin is such crap. I was talking to my brother about the size issue earlier. It got us thinking about how long it will be before the new systems start coming out in larger hard drive variations. If the average game is going to take up around 40-50gb, then we'll only have about 10 games installed at a time on a 500gb hard drive.. less than that once large DLC and patches are released like in BF3.

The 4K Ultra HD Potential of the Playstation 4
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Science & Technology
Lmao. I remember seeing a crappy VR setup when I was a kid. I didn't try it because it looked stupid and cost money. They had large tv screens showing what the people were seeing. It was original star fox style polygon graphics. They'd hold up their hands and it looked like they were Andross from the first game. It looked so stupid. I thought, why would I ever want to explore a world like that when I can just walk outside. Remember the movie Hackers? I still love that movie. They had VR in it too:- 13 replies

The 4K Ultra HD Potential of the Playstation 4
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Science & Technology
Well, at least for VR, the more real the image the better the effects and immersion we'll feel.. that and less possible nausea or headaches. 1tb games would take a long time to download. Regardless of the download rate, I think the biggest issue will be storage and the speed of the hard drives. We'll all need high speed mass storage solid state drives.- 13 replies

I'm thinking I'll try streaming some Dust this weekend. I'd stream some KOTOR but its crashed on me a few times and streaming it does not work correctly.

Impressive. Now that we know those are timed exclusives for Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed, I'm eagerly waiting to hear that Titanfall is a timed exclusive for Xbox One. *hopes*

NASA is paying a crap load of money to Russia to get into space. China will have a moon colony before the U.S. at this rate.. maybe thats why NASA has it internet ready.. they'll charge China outrageous prices for internet access so the US can pay off its debt.

I didn't care for it at first.. but once it was aired on tv, it was aired repeatedly and it really grew on me. I haven't watched it in over 10 years but its a cult classic now like Army of Darkness and Rocky Horror Picture show. If Michael Keaton reprises his role, it could be great.

Excellent special effects. Looks more like a Shield movie focused around Captain America than a sequel. I really want to see this. I'm wondering if they'll keep true to Winter Soldier's origins considering how they screwed over the Mandarin on Iron Man 3.

The 4K Ultra HD Potential of the Playstation 4
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Science & Technology
Since we talked about the Oculus Rift in this topic.. I was reading this and I'm very impressed with the advancements in the Oculus Rift VR. Its not even available yet and they are already planning on the 4k version. They are making great improvements in really short periods of time. http://www.dvice.com/2013-10-21/oculus-rift-vr-4k-resolution-display-development The only problem with 4k is storage. A single 4K movie will take up 500gb of space. An Oculus Rift version that has two displays at that resolution would probably take up 1tb. Imagine how large everyone's hard drives will have to be for games at this resolution.- 13 replies
