Official Call of Duty: Ghosts Single Player Campaign Trailer
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Video Games
Yep. The moment they start shooting, they should start spiraling backwards head over heels in a flurry of bullets.. If this was battlefield in space, someone would c4 that shuttle, fly it right towards the space station and jump out at the last second before exploding everything in an epic explosion. I'm looking forward to Star Wars Battlefront.- 4 replies

Lol. I'm pretty certain the Xbox One DRM was going to have a feature like this.. I remember reading something about Steam working on this many months ago, but it was only a rumor at the time. Steam has really improved itself over the past year. The better controller support and big picture mode make it like a console and game sharing just rubs it in the faces of all the consoles that emphasized the fact that they can hand a physical game to someone to borrow. Now friends can borrow all your steam games and you don't have to worry about them scratching a disk or not giving it back to you.. just log in and it kicks them out. Pretty effective concept considering the large amount of Steam users that are set to always be logged in.

It looks like it will be a fun game, but the quality of the graphics and effects as shown in this campaign trailer are nothing compared to what Battlefield 4 is doing. This trailer looks like its running on an Xbox 360 and not an Xbox One or PS4. And did you see the dog vs. helicopter moment? lol.. I took a screenshot because it looked great. I paid the $1. Trine 2 and Brutal Legend for $1 is an amazing deal. I've heard good things about FTL, but I don't know if I'd enjoy it. The overhead view and gameplay style reminds me of Atom Zombie Smasher, even though the two games look noticeably different. AZS was fun for a while but then I lost interest because of the difficulty.

US Supreme Court: You Can't Sue Big Pharma Anymore
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in News Column
I think we'll still see those but probably on a lower scale.. and once a drug becomes generic I doubt we'll see any commercial regarding those. With this ruling it sounds like anyone taking the generic versions will be ineligible for any lawsuits. All the large companies charging $380 for an inhaler will easily have the cash to fight and win any lawsuit, while the generic companies can keep peddling the drugs out cheap with no worries about liability. Once the drugs are available in generic, they become much more widely used.. thats when the more severe unknown side effects are discovered.. and at that point, nobody will be able to sue the drug companies once a loved one dies unexpectedly after taking a blood pressure medicine. -

I just read this again a day later.. I'm way off on this example. lol. A better example would be drinking a bunch of Great Value soda, which results in me having a heart attack because of the caffeine. Walmart can say that the increased heart rate is a side effect of the caffeine in the product. -
Dark Horse Comic's Presents: The Star Wars
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Movies, TV & Books
Wow... that comic is selling good in the stores. I think I might wait until it all comes out as a complete graphic novel / collection. -
They say localization issues are causing the delay, but I'm agreeing with you about them going for broke in NA. I'm guessing the pre-orders in North American were so huge they had to delay it in Japan because there wouldn't be enough consoles. I understand why game companies want their product to be similar on consoles in terms of support and design.. but if one system can benefit from better graphics, while the other can't.. then they should allow it like they do on PC. I just remembered something.. For the 360, BF3 had the HD graphics as an optional install because there were numerous Xbox 360s that didn't have hard drives: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/323709/bf3-xbox-install-makes-huge-difference-to-textures-comparison-video/ That game could have looked drastically different on the 360. Imagine if the HD pack wasn't available.. nobody would have bought BF3 on the 360.

US Supreme Court: You Can't Sue Big Pharma Anymore
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in News Column
So basically, a pharmaceutical company can make a generic of a product, sell it to people and then have no liability for it. wtf.. and I don't see how anyone could sue the original name brand drug considering they were taking the generic version.. and people can't sue the FDA.. Companies will make all the profits they want, have no liability for their product.. all the stock holders will get more money and the poor people that can't afford the name brand drugs can just go die somewhere. I wish I was rich. I'm looking forward to my asthma inhalers to become available as generics so I don't have to keep paying the ridiculous prices I'm paying for them now. One of my inhalers is up for a generic, but the company keeps filing lawsuit after lawsuit to prevent it from happening because they make half a billion dollars a year in sales off it. Its been going on for over a year even: http://origin-www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-09-06/teva-sues-perrigo-over-patents-for-proair-asthma-inhaler.html At least now I know that with a cheaper generic I'll have to be careful to watch out for side effects considering I'll be shit out of luck if something horrible happens to me. Thats some bullshit. It doesn't even make common sense.. This would be like me buying a jar of Walmart's "Great Value" peanut butter instead of Jiffs.. then I get salmonella from the peanut butter and I can't sue anyone for my hospital bill. I wonder how long it will be before the supreme court gives generic food products immunity. -
Because of Xbox One's lower specs during initial game development along with MS's reputation for forcing developers to use their console's specs as the standard, all the games for PS4 will look the same for the Xbox One.. which means that MS is most likely screwing the PS4's potential because of their policies. http://www.gamespot.com/dynasty-warriors-7/forum/ha-ha-i-told-you-the-ps3-version-will-be-crippled-due-to-the-xbox-360-version-58136024/

I like what I saw.. I hope all that sharing is independent from facebook and real names tho. I can only imagine my parent's reactions when I share a video of my character brutally murdering someone. Mom: "Why do you glorify killing people?" Random guy who sees my video because a facebook privacy setting was wrong: "This guy is planning on murdering people! Police!"

From the creators of Sharknado. This movie will be awesome.

This PS Vita TV annoys me. Its yet another piece of hardware to buy. Sony should be able to easily create a Vita app for the PS3 that allows all this without the need to buy additional hardware. On the other hand, I can consider this the equivalent of a new Super Game Boy without the need to plug it into an existing console. For the price, I'd definitely pick this over the Ouya just because of the game selection.

Yes. Thats more of what I was thinking too. Another costume upgrade over tights occurred in the old Power Rangers movie. They kept the general design and colors of the power rangers outfits, but instead of having a bunch of people running around in tights, they were upgraded to a kind of plastic storm trooperish armor. I'd have rather seen that or a captain america style outfit for the x-men instead of black leather. Hit CTRL-A on your keyboard. All text is selected and turned white.

A review I heard highly recommended watching this in 3D. They said every aspect of this movie benefits from 3D and creates a truly immersive feeling.

My laptop is no where near the minimum requirement. Even for minimum CPU, I have an i5 which is a dual core 2.3 GHZ, and my HD 3000 graphics probably won't even load the launch screen. I wonder if recommended settings are for optimal settings.

The 4K Ultra HD Potential of the Playstation 4
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Science & Technology
My last handheld system was a Gameboy Color. Some of the games I had for it were very fun though. My biggest complaint is that almost all RPGs are on the damn handheld systems. I used to play nothing but RPGs, now I only have action / adventure games and FPS to really choose from for consoles. Heres someone's post from 2012 listing off RPG games for consoles and handhelds: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.351559-Most-good-JRPGs-seem-to-be-on-handhelds-these-days#13917065 Handheld exclusive releases have basically ruined an entire genre of games for me because I don't own the damn handheld systems. Imagine if 80% of all FPS games were only available on the Vita or DS. That sounds completely stupid, but its what they are doing with RPGs and it doesn't make any sense to me. I don't see why PS3 doesn't have software emulation setup on their consoles to allow digitally purchased Vita games to play on the PS3. I could get an emulation program setup on my laptop easily enough, so I don't understand why these companies are restricting games to just the hand held device. If they are trying to push people into buying the hand held system just to play these games, well screw that. It only makes me jump back on Steam to check their RPG selection.- 13 replies

I beat Shank today. Fun mindless 2D brawler that turned out to have a Kill Bill style plot. Good 5 hours of fun.

Nothing wrong with cheesy... unless we're talking about TMNT 3: http://cinemassacre.com/2007/01/25/tmnt-part-1/ With Transformers tho.. they could have at least kept the plot of the original series and then upgraded the quality with CG.. but aside from the massive human cast in Transformers, I didn't even care for the transformations in the Michael Bay movies. The original transformations in the cartoon were very similar to the toys and that was awesome.. but Michael Bay's transformations are trillions of small parts that fly all over the place that turn a car into a robot.
