I've never played any of the elder scrolls games, so this might be a good deal for me. I think I'd still rather own them digitally on steam instead of having more physical discs though.

Seventh Son does look much better. I think Keanu Reeves will be a better samurai than Tom Cruise did in "The Last Samurai".

I saw that.. but now I'm wondering what the hell the show will actually be about. Now that the outside of the town is devastated, I don't foresee anyone from the outside world ever bothering to return back to the dome. With no action on the outside, the entire series will remain based on the internal squabbling and drama of the town. Theres no scientists inside the dome from what I've seen, so I don't see how anything is going to be resolved. There was some brief hint of some huge secret in the first episode that might have been connected to the dome, but it was never mentioned again and the character that mentioned it died in that first episode. Right now the series seems to only have one direction to go.. and its a head on collision into an invisible wall.

I have some neighbors that use direct tv and I'm pretty certain heavy rain and snow screws up the satellite service here. Time Warner prevents tvs without a cable box from getting HD channels by plugging the cable into the tv (at least in my area). It used to work, NBC was 3.3, and so on.. but around November of last year they changed how the signals are sent to supposedly increase their bandwidth offerings and improve their network. So now I have 'digital adapter', its about the size of a couple smartphones stacked on top of each other. Cable connects in the back of it, it plugs into the wall and it connects to the tv with an HDMI cable. Its actually better than what it was before, because I now get over 100 channels in HD on that tv.. unfortunately the digital adapter has now tv guide, no tv listing channel to let you know what is on.. but it did come with a remote that lets you change channels and gives you a channel listing. I need to email them.. without the digitial adapter I can get channel 2 which is a complete scrolling tv guide listing of whats coming on over the next hour and a half.. but with the adapter I have no idea whats on. Oh, and the adapter is free until 2014 or 2015.. then they'll charge me $1 a month for it.. at least until they decide to raise the price of it again. And the digital adapters are made cheap.. my first one was a defective. I had to take it back to their support center and get a new one.

Sounds like comcast is better than Time Warner. TWC has increased my bill 3 times in the past year. I call and complain and I'd like to get a cheaper bill, but they only have basic cable or HD digital cable packages.. if I want HD channels I must have the digital package. My only other option is to switch to Direct TV because Time Warner has a complete monopoly where I live. I'm paying $140 for the cheapest package of HD channels, basic road runner, no dvr or premium channels.

I don't pay for showtime anyway.. but CBS.. as far as I know I'm still getting that channel.. Time Warner is bullshit with the networks. Whats really annoying is all the commercials I see for new customers.. New customers can get the exact package that I'm paying $140 a month for, for $99 a month for an entire year with free DVR for the year and sometimes they throw in HBO or Showtime into the deal or free digital phone in that price. I feel like my higher cable bill is subsidizing all the new customers. I haven't liked vBulletin for some time now and mostly put that forum software behind me except for the occasional jab about how bad their software is. I came across this interesting update from PC Gamer the other day... with a part that I emphasized: http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/07/26/why-forums-and-comments-are-still-offline/ http://mos.futurenet.com/forum/ I don't visit PC Gamer's website, so I'm not certain what version of vB they were using, but this is pretty huge. The took all of their entire network's vBulletin powered forums offline because it was exploited. Well PC Gamer, I suggest you switch to Invision Power. vBulletin has really gone downhill and I'm glad we stopped using their software when we did.

Retail Stores Are Tracking You Using Your Smartphone

If not for employee tracking, stores could do something else.. They could extend their WIFI networks out to their parking lots and into streets, then get RFID chips embedded into the packaging of more expensive items. The system could then auto alert an employee when a HD TV leaves the store, where it went to in the parking lot and then what direction it drove away in. Then the security could look at the parking lot security camera, rewind the footage and have a license plate to report to the police.
