Young Justice' Animated Series Officially Announced
Sledgstone replied to Kite's topic in Anime / Animation / Manga / Comics
I finally started watching this series, I've missed quite a few eps. I was expecting it to be a bit like teen titans, but its really far from that. When they say "Young" Justice, it really stands for young adults as in like 17-19 year olds. The entire regular Justice Leage is in this series too which is awesome and the episode focuses most on the younger members of the league. Good potential with this series. I'll definitely watch more episodes. -
I watched the first 2 episodes of Ultimate Spider-man.. I like how they have SHIELD in it, Nick Fury and a variety of other heroes and villains, which makes it have the potential to be a very different Spider-Man series than what has been made within the past 10 years. Unfortunately, Spiderman/Peter Parker's behavior is that of a 5 year old child. The rest of the characters seem fine, even interesting.. but the main character is childish (even though he seems to have intelligence) and wont stop talking like an annoying kid. By the end of the second episode, its pretty obvious that the series is trying to be a new version of X-Men Evolution. With 3 or 4 other heroes from shield transferring to and now attending Peter's high school so they can all be normal people together, but instantly team up as super heroes to fight some bad guys. If this series is like a hint towards what the new live action spiderman movies will be like, I will probably avoid the new movie. Oh, and the new Avengers series started off great with the Fantastic Four getting involved, Dr. Doom is crazy strong, and hints towards the upcoming Skrull invasion.

I've realized that all the developers will probably be better off with gamestop in business selling used games. And its because of DLC. I wouldn't be surprised that DLCs become much bigger than what they currently are now.. You buy a game for $60, then you can buy an extra campaign, dungeon, costume, weapon, etc. All those microtransactions will add up quick to huge profits. And when you sell that game used to gamestop, all those DLCs don't carry over to the used game purchaser. Sure there are game of the year editions, but new DLCs will be a constant source of new revenue. But honestly, all the DLC stuff is getting a bit ridiculous as it is.. look at this list of DLCs for FFXIII-2: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Final_Fantasy_XIII-2_Downloadable_Content So many DLCs for a single game. And I'm sure there are games with even bigger more costly lists. With an ever growing expansion of DLCs, everyone can customize the way their characters look and some fans will want every DLC ever made for a game. But even with a game of the year edition that includes extra campaigns that was bought used, you'll still never get all the full content unless you spend more money. And then when a new system comes out thats not backwards compatible, you'll have the chance to rebuy all your old games in better quality. You might even get them cheaper but you can't sell them to gamestop because it'll all be digital. Hell, I recently bought FFVII from the PSN store, even though I still own it for PS1 and even bought the PC version years ago. I'm sure as long as companies make products people like, they'll pay for it and still make money.

Battlefield 3 - The most beautiful FPS ever...
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Video Games
I've watched some clips on youtube of the PC version for BF3 and the jets look amazing. The overall quality on the PC is way more impressive than on the PS3. I've come across this issue quite often.. probably 1 out of every 5 conquest or Rush games I start end up being with a group of idiots that just want to team death match on a larger scale with maybe one squad on each side actually going for the mcoms or flags. Usually I'll finish that round and switch to a different server or wait for everyone to quit out and we'll get new people in. -

mmmm.. C4 on the mcoms sounds like a good idea. lol. I'll have to do that. X'D I can't stand the range of stinger missles since the update. They are completely useless now. And javelins are extremely powered up. I was playing conquest earlier today and the other team destroyed every vehicle with javelins using two recon guys to soflam target everything. The recon guys were laser designating from their spawn point so no one could kill the guys because they were out of the playable area. Since they now force mortars to be used only in fully accessable locations they should do the same with the soflams. I finally unlocked heat seekers for my jets today. And I couldn't get a kill with them. Everyone has flares now. \ And some of the spawn points for a couple maps of rush were horrible. We were defending the mcom, it got activated, we died, no squad member to spawn to and the random spawns kept leaving us over 100 something distance away from the damn mcom. We could never get to it fast enough. The tanks seem a bit weaker.. Overall tho, its not that bad of an update. It balanced out alot, but it definitely needs another update to fix the new problems. Aside from javelins I'm not seeing any one weapon being abused like the usas was so far. I wish that venom helicopter actually had weapons for the pilot, nobody flys that damn thing once they realize theres no weapons on it. And unless I'm the pilot I hesitate to get into any helicopter. There are so many people that suck at flying in the game. -

Damn! thats a huge score to get in a single match! I like playing conquest the most because of all the vehicles. What cheating is there on PS3? I haven't really come across anything noticeable aside from the issues with the overpowered weapons that are fixed now.. That and I think there were a couple glitches where I know for a fact I shot the hell out of some guys but they never went down, like they were immortal.. but I've only come across that twice in 20+ hours of gameplay. And yes, playing with a friend makes all the difference. When I'm playing with my brothers in a squad its much easier to coordinate and have fun compared to joining up with a random team that may or may not suck. -
Trophies are nice and all, but I could care less for them compared to actually playing a full game. Have you played Cave Story+ ? Its a side scroller action/adventure shooter, but not a space shooter. That game is awesome tho. Best indie game I've ever bought. I played over 13 hours in that game and got 2 of the 3 or 4 endings. I highly recommend it. I've been playing the hell out of indie games on steam over the past 6 months. With all those humble bundle and other indie deals I've accumulated about 70 games on steam for under $40. These are some of the most entertaining games I've played in years. Btw, have either of you seen a crappyish/addicting game called Binding of Isaac? You get 1 life to play thru the game. If you die you have to start the game all over (permadeath). Sounds stupid and when I first started playing it, it annoyed me.. but honestly I keep loading that game up randomly for 10 minute play throughs and as far as I know that team of guys that made the game have made shit tons of money off it. Heres an interview with the main developer guy: http://indiegames.com/2012/01/Interview:%20Edmund%20McMillen%20Spills%20The%20Beans%20on%20The%20Wrath%20Of%20The%20Lamb%20&%20More.html Honestly, as long as you have a means of delivering your product, like through steam or some other company, then being a 3rd party developer seems like the best way to get paid in the gaming industry now.

The game was getting a bit tedious to me because of the USAS asses out there. Before the fix, when that shotgun had frag rounds equiped, it had sniper rifle range. Imagine playing against a team with half of them shooting exploding rounds at you from halfway across the map and you'd get killed by the splash damage so they wouldn't even need a perfect shot. I'm glad thats fixed and the damn MAV. God.. ppl would use a MAV and ram into everyone. the MAV was nearly impossible to hit and if you were rammed with it, it would slice thru you like butter and keep going. I saw a MAV fly thru 3 players killing them all and keep flying around. It was one of the most annoying weapons. Now if you hit someone with it, it will be destroyed. So far, it seems like alot of these fixes were needed. Although I don't like how all the shotguns were weakened. And I'm sure I'll come across plenty of other things that will probably be annoying. -
I like how the show started. I'll definitely keep current with this series.

I thought it was a good series. A bit too much fanservice, but I'd like to see another season. -

I know the latest BF3 update is only available for PS3 as of right now and you PC and xbox gamers are missing out. Its a much more balanced setup now. 1gb of updates, fixes and changes. The biggest improvements I like so far is that the USAS has been nerfed. USAS with frag rounds was the most annoying thing in the game. Anti-aircraft guns and TOW launchers destroy jets and helicopters much more efficiently now and come standard with air radar. And because you get points towards AA now (I haven't tried it yet) it makes people want to actually defend spawning aircraft from getting shot down right on the landing field. I hated getting a lock on notice right when I spawned into a jet. Repair torches have a slowed repair factor and stinger missles disable helicopters and jets in one hit. I was in a helicopter with a repairing engineer and we were killed by a stinger. That was the first I've ever seen a stinger actually take out a helicopter. -
Impressive connection! Is that directly connected to the router or wireless? btw, what kind of connection do you have that has that huge of an upload rate? This is the speed I get from my laptop with my wireless connection:

ohhhhh.. starcraft risk. ^___^

I'll give the spider-man series a couple episodes. If it strikes me as too kiddish I'll pass on it. I'm hoping it'll turn into a good series like how Avengers is good.. but I don't have my hopes up because every spider-man cartoon keeps getting canceled after a season or 2 and then they wait a couple years and make yet another one.

Oh crap I was way off! It was Trafalgar Law! I completely forgot that his ability lets him break people into parts! I didn't even think of him at first because they only showed him using his ability once in that fight outside the auction house on the archipelago. I bet hes responsible for all the centaur men Luffy and everyone keeps encountering. and also the samurai thats currently broken apart into 3 pieces. I thought Buggy because of the bat in the earlier chapter.. I didn't even think about Law becoming a shikibukai! Thats a good plot twist.

Body Scanner Operator Caught Masturbating at Colorado Airport

Interesting. I wonder if the TSA will just make people stand sideways now with their arms up for a final check now. -
Is it advanced enough to basically be a handheld ps3? That would be pretty awesome.
