I just downloaded Steam for the first time so I can get my hands on the free portal download. http://www.gamesradar.com/portal-free-steam-until-september-20/ Anyone else use steam? Is it a good service? Are there unexpected charges that I should watch out for?

We don't use the dvd part of the service so it won't affect us, but I could see it as annoying to have to login to separate sites to do what you could normally do on just one.

My brother has been looking forward to this game. It does look pretty impressive visually.

Yes.. like the omission of Puck at the beginning and no Skull Knight whatsoever. And alot of random dialogue between the midland nobles that actually sets the ground work for much of the latter part of the series.

It seems like microsoft is trying to force companies to provide exclusives for the same game to maybe even the playing field.. but with internet connectivity, the size of the bluray disk compared to the xbox's disk size limitations can be negated with a harddrive and a quick download. Maybe MS's real goal is to force smaller publishers to only produce their games for sony so that MS can focus all their online resources and services to the bigger name titles and companies that provide the most revenue to MS? If Nintendo ends up failing and then starts producing their games on other systems.. I could see myself buying new nintendo games. You would think they would want their longer standing titles to grow up along with their original fanbase. Twilight Princess for the game cube was amazing! I'd love to see another zelda game like that.. hell, I've always loved Legend of Zelda, but I have no interest in playing a zelda game were i literally have to swing my arm around to kill some enemies.. to me its an approach to make something more appealing to small kids.. and the new Wii U seems like its taking another step backwards by having that huge controller/screen. It reminds me of when certain games had extra features for the gamecube if you had a gameboy advance plugged into the system to act as an extra screen/menu.

Wow.. that is way off then. Maybe those are teasers/spoilers indicating that they going to go past the golden age arc with additional movies? It would be awesome to see the movies actually go all the way to the rebirth of griffith in human form. At least then it would finally get past the birth of Femto that the original series ended at.. And all those people that never read the manga just assumed that was how the entire story ends. Everyone is dead and Gutts is just some wanderer.

Yeah I know.. Robin and Brooke aren't even fighting anyone major.. they're just taking on the horde of weaker fighters along with Franky. I bet Sanji will fight that squid guy and fry him to a crisp with his diablo foot.

Ah.. so its not keeping exactly to the manga in terms of clothing and armor and over all design. The cgi-ness looks a bit weird too. I dunno.. as long as the story is correct I could let some of that slide tho. Didn't Gutts have a large sword when he was fighting griffith? I was pretty certain he did. I know his main large sword broke but I'm sure he left with another one because he cut griffith's sword in that fight.
