Holy crap I've been sick as hell for the last 4 days. Its a combo strep throat and flu. I've been off an on sick for the last month but this is kicking my ass on a whole new level.

Sometimes if it's real bad it lets me freely shoot giant snot rockets until I empty out my sinuses.

Yeah the menthol burns like crazy, but damn it works. It reminds me of Listerine, and why I don't use any of that "no burn" stuff Crest and others make... it just doesn't feel like its working unless my gums feel like they are being bathed in acid and fire.

My parents visited me over the weekend. Had a great time. I wish I lived in the same state as the rest of my family so I could see them all more often.

My mattress has been killing my back and sides for over a year now. I kept adjusting how I was sleeping, got a mattress pad, etc. Screw this thing. I bought a mattress in a box from walmart.com for cheap. $140. I thought about getting a memory foam one but I read that they trap heat too easily so I went with a Slumber 1 brand coil spring.
Sure as hell this mattress showed up in a box. It was vacummed sealed in a bag, folded and rolled up. When I broke that plastic seal it inflated so damn fast that it made a whistling noise thru the plastic bag as I was cutting it open. lol. It feels pretty comfortable so far but I have to let it air out for "full recovery" for 48 hours. I'd have rather gotten an expensive really nice beauty rest mattress or something else from a mattress store, but I'm tight on funds. This seems decent enough for now.

I've been sleeping on the same Sealy Posturepedic mattress for almost 20 years now. Its actually the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on for me. Anytime I'm in a hotel or another bed, its just not as good. Looking at the prices now they are $1000-1500 X_x I think I'll be keeping mine for as long as it lasts.

I hear that. Really good mattresses are super expensive. x_x A lot of mattress commercials make sense tho. We do spend about 1/3 or 1/4 of our entire lives laying on one, might as well make it a good one.

Fuck my old mattress was fucking amazing, sadly it went to hell in about 5 years (I spend a lot of time in my room since it's where everything of mine is located so you can about imagine how much time I spend on my bed (between gaming, watching anime/movies, reading, and up until recently playing games on the laptop)). Only mattress I was able to sleep soundly on (and it was only $500 or so) but I had to get rid of it two years ago because it was really starting to kill my back. My current one isn't bad (I went a little firmer than my old one, still comfy and still a pillow top but it's not the same) but I'd kill to get another mattress like my old one (don't remember what brand it was and we don't have similar mattress places like the one in Arizona where I bought it).
I'd really love one of those Sealy mattresses but fuck are they expensive. One of these days I'll have one

I finished LoTR: The Fellowship of the Ring yesterday. Great novel, but if I ever read it again I'll skip the first 150 pages of hobbit only adventures. lol. After that chunk the book turned out to be great. And the fan theory about Gandalf telling them "fly you fools" as in get to the eagles is debunked to me. Theory:
In the novel the word 'fly' was used as the word run in multiple instances. It was just the writing style. I'm glad they kept that scene like that in the movie, but Gandalf had no secret meaning when he said that. He was simply telling them to run for their f*cking lives or they'd all die in Moria.

All I have to say is Tom, you know what I mean (it's the only part of Fellowship I actually enjoyed outside of Moria, I really wish they would of put him in the movie). Everything else before the Council meeting could pretty much be left out (I could care less about how many meals a Hobbit has in a day or how a proper Hobbit should live). Don't get me wrong I love Tolkien's work and I love how he crafted an entire world in just 3 books (technically LotR is one book just split in three) but seriously I don't need all this set-up just for it not to mean a damn thing in the next two novels (as much as I love the Ents they're probably the only real downside to The Two Towers (though they do redeem themselves).
I honestly can't believe people actually thought that. "Fly" has more than one meaning, get a fucking dictionary people. The context it's said in is a dead giveaway as to what he meant because how the fuck do you fly out of a mine (with a Balrog on your ass at that). As much as Tolkien is great at alluding to certain things in his books there is no denying he meant "run for your fucking lives" and not "fly on the backs of eagles". Nerds will never cease to amaze me (yes I say that knowing full well I am one).

I thought Tom was the most unbelievable character. Lol. He was definitely interesting but singing all the time was a bit creepy to me considering. Especially since he is so powerful he can simply basically order anyone or anything to do something by singing it. He sang a song to the hobbits and told them to go strip down and play in the river. Next thing you know we got naked hobbits frolicking around for a couple paragraphs.

I was listening to some music on my PC while I was working earlier today and after a while I shut the stream off. About 20 mins later my speakers abruptly starting making loud low noises like a test pattern. I shook the speaker a bit and it stopped and I turned the power off on them. I kept working and another 5 mins later I smelled burning plastic.. and then smoke coming from my speaker.. wtf. It only stopped burning after I unplugged it from the wall. I don't know if the speaker caught fire because of a component in it, or if the ac adapter kept failed and kept pumping electricity into it. I'm glad I was there when it happened or it could have caused a serious fire incident. Now I'm paranoid about my other electronics catching fire on me. x_x
