Now that pissed me off more than anything. They finally bring Orochimaru back and just when a plot twist could happen, hes killed off again and any possibility of him ever coming back is pretty much gone. fucking lame.

Well, it looks like some progress might actually happen now that they're all heading to Kakarako town. But at the same time it looks like they're promising a helluva lot more fighting.

Dark Tower: The Long Road Home
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Anime / Animation / Manga / Comics
yep, its a new series. I have no idea if its a set amount of comics (like the previous series being set at 7 comics) or if its going to be an ongoing series. If its going to be a retelling of Wizard and Glass tho.. eh, it won't be nearly as good as the set we have now. *huggles gg* -
http://www.marvel.com/comics/dark_tower http://www.marvel.com/news/comicstories.2663.Dark_Tower%7Ecolon%7E_Long_Road_Home_Midnight_Launch New Dark Tower comic, looks like it should be good. I wonder how it ties into Wizard and Glass tho.. It must take place during the novel as a side adventure?

http://www.marvel.com/movies/Spider-Man.The_Spectacular_Spider-Man Its made by WB and it'll be premiering on March 8, 2008. The little video clip in the top right makes spider-man look like he has the body of a 9 year old. It might be interesting to see how they do venom in the series tho. But still, he looks a bit too kiddish for me.

http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/12153.html I wonder how the animation quality will look compared to the original series.

http://www.scifi.com/sfw/news/ Leonardo DiCaprio actually bought the rights for the movie.. and its going to be a two part movie like Kill Bill?

http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/12148.html Being so damned rush to make the movie for the summer of 2009, I have a feeling the quality of the movie is going to suffer. \

http://www.tvpredictions.com/dtvcount010308.htm You can fill out the form for your coupons on this official site: https://www.dtv2009.gov/ I still don't know if this is right or not... but if you have cable or satellite boxes hooked up to your tv, those will act as the signal converter and you won't need anything. But some cable companies might transmit digital signals only over their cables and that would mean you'd need a cable box for every tv in your house, or buy a digital converter for tvs if they are connected to cable but don't have a cable box. And if you get free channels with an antenna, then you'll need a whole new antenna. I filled out for the free coupons in case I need a converter box for the kids tvs just in case. Free money is free money. *shrug*

Luffy is Luffy. He doesn't really change much over the course of time, but they do kind of emphasize the decisions he makes and how he doesn't talk out his ass. The faith he has in his nakama enables him to be able to run off on his own or take something into his own hands and know that his dudes will be there to back him up. He is the primary comedy relief, but he also has some of the best fights in the series. If you think about Naruto tho, does he ever rely on anybody for anything? Half the time he just spouts out "I will be the next hokage" and then does a blind run into any fight disregarding any kind of team effort or tactics outside of whatever he himself is planning. And he doesn't rely on anybody, instead anyone that travels with him are burdened by him because they have to fight or support him because they all know he going to do the same thing all the time, run headfirst into anything, lose control of every situation and need to get bailed out always.. and then he never thanks anyone for any assistance because he never remembers it. Naruto is the kind of guy that just wants to protect everybody but at the same time puts everybody at risk. Whereas if Luffy were to go all out on somebody he'd make sure hes far enough away from any of his Nakama that none of them would get hurt.. but at the same time he has enough faith in his guys to know they can hold their own in whatever situation they get themselves into and he doesn't have to be up their asses and take on everybody that comes there way. btw, I don't mean to give any spoilers, but Luffy annoyed the shit out of me in two arcs.. during skypiea with a snake (over the course of about 5 eps I think maybe more) and during enies lobby stuck inbetween a couple buildings (about 3 or so episodes). wtf. Other than those two moments Luffy does become more solid. Naruto's back story is good and his character was great in the beginning of the series.. the sadness, the way he can relate to Sasuke and Gaara's lonliness and the way he overcomes his own problems, etc. etc. were all great. Over the course of time tho, Naruto's character has not evolved in the slightest. Now when I think of Luffy, they have a small flashback of him as a kid and how Shanks saved him, its emotional, its good, but it was too short. Now over the course of time in One Piece, Luffy's character evolves and when they run into his brother more info is revealed about him.. and just recently in the series they actually revealed other relatives and connections of Luffys and he just keeps getting more interesting. In the end, One Piece keeps busting out with all these new adventures, fights, new moves and an ever evolving plot that has connections to every other part of the series. I swear the guy that writes One Piece knows his entire story and how everything fits together and how it will end and has probably always known. whereas Naruto has gotten very stagnant and repetitive. and I personally think the guy that writes Naruto doesn't know what the hell he is doing and is just writing chapter after chapter with no overall plot just to keep getting a paycheck from shonen jump. *edit* Holy shit this became a huge post. X'D

*Itachi does his last move and Sasuke does some move to absorb the energy from it enabling him to do another last move which Itachi then counters himself* They should just flip a coin already and call it a day.

Wolf's Rain is a great anime. In many ways, it reminds of Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" A small katet of adventurers on a quest to find the rose (flower maiden) and the dark tower (paradise). Remember the face of your father Kiba. *tear*

Did you see the little sentence at the bottom right of the last page? It went something like.. "Now somebody else shows up where Ichigo and the group are at, what are their evil plans!?" Well, as long as some sort of plot is actually revealed I'll be happy.. But if its more like: "Oh, you beat Noittra, you must be good.. *draws sword*" I'll be pissed.

I think it is. But the Water 7/Enis Lobby arc was huge too.

http://www.amazon.com/Stargate-Ark-Truth-Ben-Browder/dp/B0010YSD7M/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1204315512&sr=8-1 Well, we all thought the series finale sucked ass, so it looks like scifi is making up for it. 1 1/2 hour straight to dvd movie that takes place after the end of Stargate SG1. Looks like that other stargate movie that is being made will be a straight to dvd release also. I'm just glad they're not letting the show end on such a shit note anymore.

Our camera is a Panasonic DMC-LZ5, it is a 6.0 megapixel. It takes video in qt format, but the quality is good and its damn good with battery usage. I'm pretty certain most camcorders can take good still pics, but I don't know much about them. Go to a bestbuy or circuit city store and talk to some of the sales people, they mess with them every day and probably have the latest information about them. If you get a digital camera, get the biggest memory stick you can get for it. The more storage space you have the longer the video you can get. I've also noticed our batteries die a helluva lot faster when taking long videos (3-5+ mins). Most of the time its a race as to whether the batteries will die first or the memory card will run out of space. Also, with our camera and with a couple others I have tested, you cannot zoom in or out once you start taking video. Usually we zoom to the distance we want first and then take the video. Make sure you test whatever you're going to buy first.

You need chakra to summon too. Remember when Jiyra was teaching Naruto to summon frogs? Naruto could only summon that little guy because he didn't put enough chakra into it. Thats why when Naruto was fighting Gaara, he tapped into his 9 tales chakra and used that for his summon and that was how he busted out frog boss. I can't think of anything Sasuke could actually summon aside from a single attack. He already summoned and got Manda killed when he fought that exploding clay bastard. And he doesn't have any dead bodies to do forbidden summons. Nah, he'll bust out some stupid uchiha binding/killing scroll or something that he got from those Uchiha cats.

Ah! That piece of paper will act like a log pose to Impel Down!

I backwards compatibility. *kicks sony*

eh... its pretty boring. At least Sasuke finally did a move Orochimaru must have taught him.. I'm assuming his finishing move will probably be some forbidden jutsu, or some lame symbol summoning thing like his wrist shuriken storage thing.

That was lame.

http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/12088.html Walmart gave the final blow to HD-DVD. Congrats to sony. Looks like Microsoft made the wrong decision to back up HD-DVD, guess they'll be removing this product in the near future: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360hddvdplayer/default.htm
