I think we need to wait and see Robin in an actual one on one fight to really see her battle potential. We just finally got to see Ussop in his prime in his fight with Perona. I'm sure Robin will get her time to shine in the future.

I bet Ussop's grandpa had a DF power of regeneration. Two generations later and Ussop can survive having every bone in his body broken, getting hit with a 2-ton baseball bat to the face, etc. and he always pulls thru usually within the same episode. Same could be true for Zoro. He could have severe internal injuries and all he needs is some bandages and he'll be fine. ohhh... maybe even one of Luffy's great grandparents had a DF power and all following generations got a power boost.

I don't think Brooke is anywhere near the swordsman that Zoro is. I think Brooke is more of a fencer compared to Zoro's master swordsman skills. I'm honestly surprised everyone on the crew doesn't have sword or gun skills considering those are the two most common weapons for all pirates and marines.

It is beyond Naruto and Bleach. It is the epitome of what all anime should aspire to be. It has humor, character depth, can get extremely emotional (this series has made me cry twice. ), and yes, some of the best fight scenes in all of anime. The plot and characters are the best tho. If I were you, I'd definitely watch it, but only fansubbed. All english versions of this series sucks, the dialogue is dumbed down and the fights are edited to reduce violence.

I've been thinking about this most of the day and my conclusion is that I don't think Teach actually absorbs anything into himself physically. I believe his gravity power gives him the ability to pull things to him, push them away, etc.. but his absorbtion/black hole moves act like a gravity field/dimensional hole kind of thing that his DF power lets him control. If Teach took out a marine ship by sucking it in, he would in essence absorb the sea stone from the ships bottom... and that would probably kill him or destroy his DF powers permanently, just as absorbing another DF user would result in his death because of the two devils fruit curse. Hell, what if he absorbed a bunch of sea water into his black hole field, would he drown from the inside out? I don't think any of that would happen to him because I don't think his absorbtion is directly connected to his body. It got me thinking about Miroku from Inuyasha. He actually had like a black hole/singularity in his hand and it was connected to his physical body. If he absorbed something poisonous, it would poison him. The more he used it the larger the ball of mass in his hand grew and the faster it would eventually consume him. And if he absorbed something sharp like swords or some crap it would cut him on his hand while it was being sucked in, thus f*cking him up. But Teach so far hasn't shown that kind of weakness when he absorbs at all. He does say that he has to take every hit, implying that his body is the true center point of the gravity, but instead, he can expand his dark gravitational field on massive scales and literally pull things straight into his darkness field as opposed to having everything fly straight at his body. Because of that its a completely different power/negative affects than Miroku's. To be able to absorb everything at a distance without having to absorb it with contact with his body is a truly scary power. His main weakness is that he has to take any hit, but at the same time he can work his own power so that he doesn't harm himself in the slightest (unlike Miroku). Don't get me wrong tho, I do think his actual body is a source of gravity itself, but I don't think his actual body has an absorbtion ability like that of his gravity field. But, the extremely powerful ability of his actual body is the fact that he can negate the DF powers of another DF user. The downside to that move is that he has to have physical contact with the DF user. Teach is more suited to long range or massive scale destruction, but to take on a DF user he has to bring them directly to his own weakness. Teach has so many different abilities or moves he could bust out with.. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in another fight. I think Luffy could take him tho. Luffy is all about the up close fighting and physical beatdowns. And seeing as the only way Teach can take on a DF user is up close, he would have to take a serious ass kicking. That would be a helluva fight to watch. I don't think Ace stood a chance against him because he got so used to using his DF fire element to fight, he just didn't have the endurance to take a hit anymore nor the physical blows required to damage Teach. But you have to remember, even with Shank's power, Teach was able to wound him. I'm sure Shanks would like a chance to even the scales, but just the fact that he was able to catch someone like Shanks off guard and obviously be able to walk away means Teach must have been a bad ass all along if he was able to do that before or after getting a DF power.

Yes, but don't forget that Califa was the weakest member of CP8 by quite a bit of 'doruki' or whatever the hell they called it. Sometimes I think of One Piece like an RPG game in the sense that Nami and Ussop and everyone else has accumulated so much experience over their entire adventure that they're all like level 50 warriors and Zoro is probably level 80, Luffy a 90, and so on.

I bet that trigger point could be the destabilization of power in the world... If whitebeard were to make a move to save Ace himself, it would leave a void in the new world where he was based at. With a power shift like that the WG could make a move into whitebeard's territories or start an attack with the shikibuki. But I don't think thats likely. I bet there will be a big convergence at Impel Down. With someone like Ace being imprisoned there and the blatant publication of his imprisoned location, the WG must know it will either bait whitebeard himself to show up or at least draw some of his serious badass subordinates to his rescue. But what they wouldn't count on would be Luffy and the others to show up for his rescue as well. Most likely the WG would assume the strawhats would be heading to the merman island/Ipel Down territory because Garp and the marines saw them leaving from Water 7. The WG would want to make sure Luffy and co are dead so they could not possibly interefere with their whitebeard trap which will be happening in a location near (or on) merman island. The WG put their money on Moria to finish off the Strawhats and even sent Bear there to ensure it. The fact that Bear did not kill them all will throw off the WG's plans. Also, not many people know that Ace is Luffy's brother. Teach didn't even know until after his fight with Ace. Now the question is, did Teach pass on this info? My guess would probably be yes, which is why Bear was sent to Thriller Bark. If Luffy shows up to rescue his brother and then meets up with (or saves, this could be a trap for whitebeard so the most powerful marines or shikibuki's could be there) one of the 4 Emperors at the same time, a possible alliance could be formed that would mean yet another shift in power against the WG/Marines.

That whale is so cute. And I forgot to say this in the last chapter: Holy shit! Brooke is white!? I thought they finally had a black guy on the crew.

Out of the thousands of jutsus they must both know, they threw shuriken at each other and did slight variations of standard moves. He'll probably try to throw a plot twist in there now.. like Sasuke or one of his dudes stabbed Itachi in the back or something.

The only reason Nami beat Califa is because Califa highly underestimated her. She could have killed Nami the moment she walked in the door but instead decided to play with her without realizing Nami had a couple moves that could cause her instant death. Yes, Robin is very un-utilized when it comes to fights. She had nothing going for her in Skypia, but then again neither did Sanji really. The whole Enies Lobby she was out of commission, and even tho she has a couple team fights in Thriller Bark they never really show much in the way of new or more advanced abilities from her. Except for one scene in thriller bark which was pretty cool. Captain Hina and Alveda have both gone unmentioned for years. Same with whats her face and Smoker. I have a feeling they'll all meet up again later in the grand line tho. The story keeps taking the Straw Hats from one event or conflict to another with no real side tracking available to bring everyone back in. But if they're going to Impel Down, I would assume Captain Hina probably runs part of that operation considering her DF power was shackling/capturing.

well it looks like that guy is dead, so now we should just wait of Ulquiorra to pop out of that dimensional bubble thing and then Kenpachi can get really serious. *still wonders what happened to grimjaw*

ohh! Looks like Itachi just plucked out one of Sasuke's eyes! I have a feeling Itachi will only take one of Sasuke's eyes tho. Itachi knows Sasuke doesn't have the Mangeko sharingan, so he'll only take one of his eyes just to preserve his eyesight for now. Because technically, if he took even one of Sasuke's eyes, unless Itachi destroys his own eye after he replaces it, Sasuke could just grab Itachi's eyeball and plop that into his own eyesocket and now possess a mangeko of his own.

If I was offered 44 billion, I'd sell out in a heartbeat. X'D

That does look like curtains. *stares and fantasizes at the chun-li pic*

The girl from Underworld in a new action movie. And what an odd looking movie.

Thats a huge sum of money for a business that used to be extremely successful. You'd think with 44 billion, they would invest all that money into R&D and make an entirely new company.. but then again, if they buy yahoo they get all the rights to all of yahoo's copyrights, property rights, existing clientèle, advertising contracts, etc. I can only guess to save themselves massive losses in potential lawsuits against similar technology it's probably cheaper to just outright buy yahoo and consume it's name recognition. But even considering that, that is still a huge amount of money to buy a company. I remember when HP bought Compaq for $25 billion and in the end it didn't really do HP a damn bit of good.

yes, that dress is horrid. The top part of her dress looks like decorative ceiling molding found in classic homes.

I remember watching Average Joe, but after that these shows couldn't really hold my interest anymore.

Oh god no! All those costumes looked perfectly cleaned, starched and pressed. Even with the horrible plot and acting of that movie, if Ryu or Chun-Li looked anything like these two pictures.. actors and costumes combined, that movie could have awesome. or at least good enough for everyone to say, "that movie sucked ass, but damn did they nail the look of the characters!"

Damn.
