is the cop the guy she is engaged to!? I didn't even realize it... also, have you noticed that every actor/actress appears to be in the same age group? even the extras in the background? Even Flash's mom looked like she was only a couple years older than him.. btw, didn't it seem odd that when the initial robot was defeated, it melted/self destructed, but Flash's dad's drivers license was there in the goo unaffected by the melting process.. and on top of that, why did a robot need to hold onto someone else's driver's license, and it had pockets to store things in? and in a world where robot manufacturing is capable why does everyone look medievil and are busted for hauling ice from a mountain? ; and the rift thing makes no sense.. "here barbarian man, you will go kill flash gordon and bring back this bounty hunter" *barbarian man instantly goes to earth via a rift*.... yet ming says "we don't want earth to know of us yet", but they send robots and screaming barbarians thru rifts... I'll give it a few more eps, but the plot holes are huge. Flash needs to knock off this dawson creek soap opera shit and throw some footballs at people's heads and tackle some robots!

you should check out some of the fight scenes from lady's stories, friggin amazing. When I read her One Piece and Naruto fights scenes, I could picture the entire fight in my head. her fanfiction link is on her profile page. maybe she'll jump in this topic at some point with some advice.

Movie 5 had some great Zoro action in it. *made a sig for it too* Movie 6 sucked. Completely different animation style and a blah plot and crappy action scenes except for maybe the final one. Movie 7 was good and had the most fan-service than any other movie.. those evening dresses Nami and Robin were wearing... oh, and over half the movie, Nami is dressed like Tomb Raider's Lara Croft. Movie 4 and 2 were both excellent. Lots of DF users and fight scenes. Movie 3 was a chopper movie and was pretty lame. Movie 1 was about somebody cooking curry and some DF beast guy that shot laser/sonic waves out of his mouth or something. ; and movie 8, I'm still waiting to watch. I think its done being translated.. *has to go download it* Its the entire alabastar/vivi story arc remade into a movie. and I heard movie 9 is going to be the retelling of the drum island arc.. which sounds pretty lame to me.. they didn't have Robin yet, and Nami spent most of the time sick in bed.

http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/11116.html 'Painkiller Jane's' Prescription Runs Out This was kind of forseeable. there were far too many episodes where they focused on something happening to the team, or the team being betrayed, or one of the team being killed. and of course every episode has to somehow have at least one scene where Jane gets fucked up and heals.. we know she has this power, but its necessary to let yourself get screwed up all the time because of it. ; eh, the next episode actually looks pretty good because they are finally touching the subject of her actual powers and the full info about it. The first 10 episodes were probably the best because there was co-ordinated team work, undercover work and interesting neuro powers. oh well, maybe they'll end the series with a bang.

That last episode of flash gordon felt like a slow soap opera. it didn't even feel like an episode.. it was slow, hardly any action and bad acting.. I hope the next couple episodes are better. *changes my topic icon* btw, Doctor Who is awesome!

Ah, I'm glad you'll be changing that layout. It reminded me of those auto-generated search pages you get when you type a domain name wrong. Another suggestion I can make is to have a third category for official anime company news. Advfilms, funimation, rightstuf, viz, I'm pretty certain all of them have rss feeds for their news about new licenses and upcoming release dates. *edit* also, when submitting a rss feed, maybe it'll be easier to have a drop down box for the category. I just submitted a couple rss feeds and I noticed it said to type in the category name in lower cases, so I tried typing a category name with a capital first letter to see if a error came up, but it looks like it went thru ok.

Turns out it wasn't nearly as bad as I was thinking. It wasn't a wheel bearing at all, turns out my emergency brake shoe partially seized up in my brake shoe/against the rotor. how the hell that happened I have no idea. So of course they try to give me crap and tell me I should definitely get a full rear brake job with new rotors for a cost of around $500. yeah.. I told the guy to show me the brakes and where the damage to the rotors were. He didn't expect that. X'D I told them no to the brake job and that I have someone thats been doing brakes for me for years. after hearing that, the two mechanics had that look on their faces like they just found out santa wasn't real. X'D So I bought ceramic brake pads yesterday for $45 and this saturday I'm driving over to lady's dads house and hes going to help me do the brakes. and the quotes I got for new rotors would be about $35 to $70 a piece if I even need them, which I doubt, but I'll let her dad have a look at them too for his opinion. and the most expensive emergency brake shoe set was $60. Even if I have to buy the rotors and e-brakes, the cost is still drastically less than $500.. fuckin rip off bastards.

I finally sat down and watched the last couple episodes of Death Note.

All the new next-gen systems had all this hype for new and innovative things.. but aside from all the new chips, blu-ray compatability.. it all boils down to the games for me. some of the wii games look good, but I need rpgs. game design, nice. good luck with it. and keep us informed about the gaming industry, its nice to know someones keeping up on it.

I don't own a 360 or keep up much on the video game industry like I used to, so its the first I've heard about the widespread 360 hardware problems. thats pretty messed up, but is it a pattern? I thought the original xbox had hardware problems after the first year too. I can't remember. Anyone know what rpg games are coming out for the PS3? I remember wanting a PS2 for a year or so because of the massive rpg titles for it... but I have no idea what rpgs are due out for the PS3 anytime soon. oh, and I missed that PS2 to laptop/monitor question. No, from what I found out a year ago, the PS2 does not support a vga adapter. If you had a Dreamcast, you could hook it up to a monitor or possibly a video input on your laptop if you had the connection port, but not a PS2. you'll need a tv for it. Unless some third party company out there was able to make some bootleggish quality vga adapter for it in the past year, but if so, I wouldn't trust the quality of it in the slightest.

I bet sony will never release another massively expensive system again. quality over quantity is one thing, but the pure lack of bulk sales results in the lack of exclusive titles, and that results in the lack of people looking forward to buying the system.. yes, they need another price drop to start the cycle.

well, it could be a cv joint. my only guess now is that a bearing is seizing up somewhere. If the noise happens at all in the next couple of days, especially monday on my way to work, I'll be setting up and appointment at the dealership. I got to double check my warranty, but I'm pretty certain all bearings are covered. So I should only have to pay my warranty deductable to get the thing fixed. the muffler strap is fine. the strap did break on my saturn before, and i temporarily fixed it with a metal clothes hanger.

I missed the first half hour.. but I'm watching it now.

well this sucks. I drove a little tonight and I'm getting that damn noise again, but it sounds only half as bad.. I'm wondering if the overall noise I was hearing was actually two parts. Guh, I think I'm going to schedule an appointment at the dealership. I wonder if hubs or wheel bearings are covered under my powertrain warranty. \

I was driving to work a couple days ago when my blazer started screaming at me like a bastard. it sounded like those old dot matrix printers. the metal clicking/grinding/scraping sound was so loud, I could look over at peoples houses and they would be looking out their windows like "wtf!?". I thought it was my brake pads at first because the sound only came and went around the times I hit the brakes.. but nope, it started happening constantly whenever the car was in motion regardless of if I was hitting the brakes or not. But the odd thing was, going home, I never heard a thing.. the next morning, once again it started screaming at me. and then I figured out the noise was coming from the back of the car only and not from the brakes. And then I thought, when I drive to work, its alot of uphill driving, but coming home from work is mostly downhill.. so that made me think it was a fluid issue.. so I came to the conclusion it must be my rear differential. So I hit valvolene to get the rear differential fluid replaced and sure as hell, the guy tells me that it looks like the original fluid and that its loaded with metal flakes. $70 for the good synthetic oil for the differential and the problem is gone. So lets just say, 4x4s are a bitch with maintenance. And if any of you own a 4x4, get your front and rear differential fluid changed every 30,000 miles or so. and I think transfer case fluid has to be changed every 50,000 or so.

Anyone else watching Flash Gordon tonight? Its on at 9pm EDT. on the scifi channel. I bet it'll be an awesome b series. ^____^
