White Rabbit Project aka Mythbusters 2 (Netflix series)
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Movies, TV & Books
I watched through episode 5. I'm a bit sad that it isn't a true mythbusters successor but its still interesting regardless. I wasn't expecting the show to be more documentary based after the first episode was more of a mythbusters style. After a couple episodes of no experiments happening I started watching the show in the background while playing a game. I hyped myself up to much to see explosions. Its still an interesting show but it feels like the show doesn't take advantage of what their hosts are actually capable of. Sure they're TV personalities and they can host just about any show easily, but knowing what these three can also do, the show feels like it's holding them back to much.- 7 replies

I got to try out the new Giant's Shadow map tonight in a game of conquest. Its too open for me. Great for sniping but it could use some more buildings. The fog is complete overkill tho, its last way too long and is far too dense that it takes the fun right out of the map. I couldn't even see the damn enemy train in front of me even tho its within grenade distance and there were no buildings obscuring my view. I did luck out tonight and got a double kill with a k bullet by sniping a plane. Apparently the tail section is a better target than the engine block. I'm going to have to upload longer clips, I swear youtube craps out the first 5 seconds of every clip I upload and thats exactly where the kill shot takes place in this vid. I'll probably re-edit it and upload it another day if I remember. I love how realistic these planes look when they crash.. lmao!

This looks crazy.

I'd like to see the end of DLC packs and a premium pass in battlefield. In BF4 as soon as a new DLC hits the maps from the previous DLC pretty much die out while core maps are always populated. I was reading this article yesterday and it brings up a good point: http://www.gamesradar.com/the-multiplayer-season-pass-is-almost-dead-this-is-how-for-honor-and-titanfall-2-are-killing-it/ As far as I'm concerned this is what will kill off paid DLC maps in the future.

I'm glad they didn't name this Prometheus 2. This looks far superior to that movie.

I'm going to empty out my wish list for the same reason. I bought a steam link off amazon earlier this year and I swear I get an email every week from steam about it going on sale.

I finished watching Westworld yesterday and I'm impressed. Its probably one of the best scifi series of the year. Its really a show about NPCs and the management of NPCs in a real life video game. Interesting concept. And I had no idea it was a remake of an old 1973 movie made by Michael Crichton.

I'll try out this demo later this weekend. That huge boss looks awesome.

http://store.steampowered.com/ Am I the only one suffering from steam sale fatigue? Maybe its just me but ever since they changed the store to the design it is now nothing in the store appeals to me anymore. Its probably because of the massive influx of every game from every independent developer. Theres so many games on there that I never look at what new games came out anymore because in any given week 40+ new games were released and 250+ games are listed in their weekly sales. I stopped looking and only pay attention to humble bundle sales now. Even with the steam sale going on now I don't see any huge sale thats leaping out at me to take my money anymore. Sure I still have a backlog of games but there seems to be less and less new AAA or indie games that I'm interested in for PC. Unless its a game I want for console I hardly look at the steam store anymore even though I use steam on a daily basis.

What is your favorite original B movie?
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Movies, TV & Books
I have been thinking about this topic all day because I cannot bring myself to pick a single favorite movie. Theres just too many. Almost every Jean Claude Van Damme or Steven Seagal movie could easily make it into my top 20. I don't think Masters of the Universe counts as a B movie because it's budget was big at the time (I think?): One of my top favorites is The Dungeonmaster: Me and my older brother rented this from blockbuster when we were kids. The description on the back of the box said something like "A computer ace in the future must save a princess from an evil wizard." This was the early 90s when we watched this.. Within the first 5 minutes we realized "the future" was computer enhanced world of the 1980s with computers the size of rooms and reams of magnetic tape instead of hard drives. It was so bad.. the main guy even had his own version of Jarvis from Iron Man.. and he had augmented reality glasses that he also invented. This trailer doesn't even touch the hero's origin story at all of being a computer geek. This movie is so bad. If you haven't seen it I highly suggest it. Have you ever heard Adam Savage from Mythbusters say "I reject your reality and substitute my own!".. this movie is the origin of that phrase. Years later I came across this movie that I missed as a kid. Probably because its about sex robots. Cherry 2000 is a classic to me now. I said I couldn't pick a single best movie but I was wrong. I almost forgot this amazing piece of work. My favorite B Movie of all time is without a doubt "Humanity's End" Best movie ever. -
I think with MMO innovation it boils down to the chicken and the egg question.. instead of which came first, its more of who did it first? lol. So many MMOs have the same features that I don't even look up to see which game or developer started doing it first. Like minis.. I wonder what game had the first minis. I think it was runescape, but then guild wars 1 and WoW ripped them off.

The first John Wick movie was great not just for the gun fights but because of how John Wick's reputation preceded him everywhere he went. He was a bad ass and everyone knew.. and then he'd show up and slaughter everyone like Brandon Heat in Gungrave in his sweeper days. This trailer looks good but I bet its not showing half of the action that will take place in the movie.

Season 5 of PVP is fantastic. After getting farmed in season 1 and then getting 5 shutout matches in season 2 I told myself I was done with GW2 PVP. I didn't even try season 3 or 4. Season 5 brought huge changes and I think they finally have it right. Heres Woodenpotatoe's video on the changes: I didn't watch his video until I already got 10 matches in. The difference between season 1 and season 5 is night and day. I no longer feel like I'm wasting time on this game mode anymore thanks to the reward system. I'm also not getting farmed by full teams because it's limited to solo / duo queue only. These two changes made all the difference for me. In season 1 I always solo queued, I'd almost always go up against a full team in teamspeak and my team would loose horribly and I'd get no rewards. Queue times would take up to 10-15 minutes just to get into a match and I'd be stuck in the pvp lobby the entire time. It was all a giant waste of time. But now in season 5 with solo / duo queue, changes to match making, rewards for loosing.. its actually fun. The queue times are only 1 minute to a minute and a half.. and even if the queue times get longer, I can queue while in PVE maps. I could still do events or go on node runs while waiting for a match to start. Its no longer a complete waste of time. If every season going forward is like this then it'll be amazing. I'm going to do most of the achievements for the legendary back piece in this season because if they revert any of this for season 6 I won't want any part of it.

My younger brother had his surgery to remove his appendix, abscess, etc. He is all kinds of messed up right now with pain. Normal operation for appendix is 15 mins, his took 1 1/2 hours. x_x

That router was overkill, but I bet your wifi signal is amazing. I still like Domination and I'll play that whenever I'm short on time. My older brother prefers operations but he'll swap over to domination and still have a good time. My younger brother will play any game mode. I still need to try war pigeons to see what its like.

Its a ghost town here. Nice to see you again tho.

There has to be a progression overhaul or a new campaign story with the first DLC for me to consider buying premium at this point. I wanted to save money initially so I didn't buy it at launch but no I'm leaning much more towards not buying it at all. BF3 and BF4 premium was worth it. All those assignments, weapons, free premium skins, double xp events, new vehicles with their own progression and assignments, etc. But if all BF1 gets is some new maps with no extra assignments, etc. it'll be no better than CoD map packs.

No level cap!? wtf. x_x The game looks beautiful but this looks so damn time consuming.
