I'd rather be able to choose my own attachments and let DICE rebalance the game. If we could throw the limpet charge farther it'd be much more fun. I love using the thing because it doesn't show up on the screen as an explosive like a grenade or tripwire does. If you think you're being followed, throw one down on the ground and look for that kill credit. I'll jihad myself into that bunker on monte grappa with limpet charges. If 2 people can get in there and throw one, almost everyone in that bunker will be dead. That was the shitiest thing DICE ever did imo. It was the same with the UCAV being locked behind that bomber assignment. High powered weapons and gadgets should never be locked off like that.

What a crap day yesterday. My younger brother's appendix bursted, hes having a surgery today. I'm in another state so I can't visit him in the hospital. My internet went out last night because of this storm. I got 12 inches of snow at my house over night and we're getting another 6-12 inches today with even more overnight. x_x

Heres my rant on BF1. The progression in BF1 is terrible because the only progression is tied directly to the amount of time you play the game as opposed to what you actually accomplish in the game. All BF1 has for progression is class unlocks and level unlocks aka warbonds. Battlefield 4 was the superior game. I'm still enjoying BF1 but I'm on the fence about buying premium for the DLCs unless a new progression system is implemented. BF4 triggered my OCD in a fun and enjoyable way. I put 144 hours in that game because there was always something to do. I could pick a random assignment I'd like to accomplish and go for that, meanwhile if it impeded me from playing the objective, I'd still play the objective because everything I did progressed my account in some way. I could unlock some new shotguns by using shotguns more, if I liked a specific weapon I could keep using that weapon and unlock new addons for it. I could capture a flag and get bonus XP by getting ribbons and medals. I know its been a long time since me and DX played BF4 and probably a year+ for others out there, but heres a reminder of what BF4 had for progression: 1) Use a specific weapon type to unlock more weapons of that type: 2) The more you used vehicles the more stuff you unlocked for them. This really encouraged players to get in every vehicle in the game, even as a passenger because you could unlock great upgrades. In BF1 there is no incentive to ride passenger in a vehicle. 3) The more you use a kit the more you unlock for it. We have this in BF1, but its locked behind class levels as opposed to a long progressing XP bar for each class like in BF4. 4) Assignments. These were my bread and butter of the game. Whenever I felt bored with any aspect of the game I'd focus on specific assignments. And these assignments encouraged everyone to play as a team. 5) Look how many battlepacks I have to open for not even playing the damn game. 6) Bonus XP for playing the objectives and working as a team. 7) Weapon camos aka skins. BF4 did this right. You could unlock skins via gameplay aka leveling up, assignments and battlepacks. Once a camo was unlocked you had it for all guns. This was enjoyable. I also did not get a screenshot of the soldier camos. I was one of those people that liked to change my camo based on what map I was on to try to blend into the environment more. In BF1 the end game is gun skins locked to specific guns and are only awarded through RNG. With all these different styles of progression I was on an OCD trip of fun with BF4. In BF1 we have only 2 forms of progression. Leveling up a class and buying the weapons with warbonds that we get from leveling up. And these crappy medals we can only track one of at a time and only within a certain time period: I miss BF4. DICE dropped the ball in longevity with BF1 in my opinion. The thing I loved most about BF3 and BF4 was vehicle combat and unlocking the upgrades. With none of that in BF1 and the lack of vehicles I'm disappointed overall. I say lack of vehicles because in BF4 at any point in time there would be 4 helicopters in the air, 2-4 jets, 2-4 tanks a mobile AA, rocket truck, regular trucks, motorcycles, etc. People say that vehicles could be destroyed way too easily in BF4, but with that many vehicles it was balanced and enjoyable. In BF1 I can almost never spawn into a tank in conquest and if I do I last about 30 seconds once I get anywhere close to an objective. If I was working for DICE I'd make huge changes to vehicles in the game. I'd make the artillery trucks and light tanks spawn at specific flags only so land ships and heavy tanks will always spawn from the bases. I'd put anti tank grenades on support and reduce their throwing range. Remove self heal from all vehicles (has anyone used the repair tool outside of the campaign? I know I've never seen it used once in MP.) and make every flag in conquest spawn one specific vehicle in the open instead of from the spawn screen only. Theres no reason why there shouldn't be more vehicles in this game.

Winter is coming. I haven't had any snow this season so far except a light dusting. but this Sunday - Monday we're getting 8 to 12 inches. it's time to hibernate indoors.

Lmao! I didn't get a video of my "accident" I have no idea how I died except from my view it looked like the ship clipped my head when you drove near it. but from your angle I died for no reason. I'll never hit the share button in a loading screen again in bf1. it screwed up all my video captures from yesterday. I had a 9 or 10 sniping kill streak and it didn't save. X_x I got my Russian 1895 service star at the same time too.

I got my new modem hooked up. Works good so far but I haven't tested BF1 yet. Hopefully I don't get any surprise NAT errors .

I agree that support is the weakest class, but those lmgs can be useful thanks to suppression. From what I saw last night as long as I started shooting at an enemy first their accuracy against me was diminished so much that only 1/4 of their shots landed on me. I'm going to try it out in conquest later tonight to see if it saves me against snipers. And on the flip side, as a sniper DICE needs to implement some way of letting me know I'm being suppressed. On 3 different occasions last night I had perfect headshots that didn't register as a kill or even a hit. At first I was thinking it was the low hertz servers, but I saw some lmg guy shooting at me from long range. He never hit me with a bullet but I'm pretty certain I was getting a suppression penalty. As long as DICE doesn't turn suppression back to that crappy camera effect I'll be fine with a little notification icon somewhere on the screen. That model 10 a does need a nerf. But until it does I'll be using it all the time on my assault class. That scout flare gave me so many points at the bunker in Monte Grappa. I usually play medic in there and revive everyone, but instead I jumped in there as scout, shot flares at both entrances, kept resupplying and doing it again and again. By the end of the match I had so many damn points just from flare spot assists it was insane. These flares blow away the Tugs in terms of effectiveness. Once I start using support more often I'll keep track of how many suppression assists I get. It was beneficial to my overall score last night to just keep spitting bullets in the general direction of enemies even if I didn't see one because I was getting suppression assist points left and right. After looking at my video again, the airship AA against infantry might not have been nerfed at all. I was standing on a ridge and most of those shots must have flown right past me instead of hitting the ground at my feet. The AA against the blimp still seems as effective as ever tho but the reduced effective range on it will keep the blimp in the air longer.

I got some rounds in tonight and had a blast. This first video is of the Russian 1895 before the patch and the second is after. I see no real difference with the rate of fire decrease. The MG 15 na storm is my new favorite lmg. Support is fun to play again but it needs another gadget for close quarters. I didn't get to try the blimps AA guns against infantry but seeing as I was able to juke and jive the shots coming at me I think it's safe to say their AOE got nerfed.

ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY Official Teaser Trailer
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Movies, TV & Books
International trailer with some brief Vader footage. -
I'm interested in this but I'm a bit burned out on origin movies. I never kept up with the overall plot of GitS but I remember Stand Alone Complex and 2nd GIG was good without having to be stuffed full of everyone's origins and backstories.

Nintendo Switch (Nintendo NX = Portable Console)
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Video Games
I see people looking at a $250 price point and saying "Whats the catch?" The catch is Nintendo will only make 5 of these for every retailer and the real price of the Switch will be $999.99 on Ebay. Ebay sellers love Nintendo for their limited productions, they're the same as ticket scalpers. The console itself is really an upscaled handheld system with a charging / hdmi station. It makes sense that it's price point will be similar to the older hand held systems. The real catch is that portable games that normally sold for $29.99 will now cost $59.99 (aka console prices) because they can be played on a TV.- 100 replies

Easiest battlepack I ever "earned" thru dedicated gameplay. lol. Just kidding. It's all RNG.
-
Lmao. A double kill with a single bullet. That sweet spot is perfect on that gun.

That frommer looks extremely effective. I finally got around to uploading this video of my shotgun kills from earlier this week.

Those Russian and BAR skins look really slick. I haven't had time to get any game time in, but I'll be having more vacation days over the next couple weeks to grind out some scrap. I agree with Levelcap about the patch wishlist. I hate seeing elite classes on domination. It makes no sense to me that these classes are in low population game modes like domination. Its like spawning Luke Skywalker on battlefront in a 6 vs 6 match. wtf. These classes do not belong in these game modes. Most people that get one of these classes stays in them the entire match as long as there is one medic and support on the team for health and resupplies. I've seen one spawn early and a match last only 5 mins with a score of 100-18 with the top guy on the other team going 40-3... in 5 minutes! Only 5 minutes! He was killing at least 1 person every 7 seconds. Seriously DICE!?
-
lmao! I saw this the other day and it looks pretty damn effective for stopping high speed pursuits. If the cops had these in video games car chases would be over much quicker.

I'd stay clear of the lap desks with the 2 bump cushions, those things are designed horribly because at different angles they'll tip over backward. But the full 1 piece memory foam ones are really nice.

I wasn't that interested in this movie because its based in the past, but now that I've been sucked into Battlefield 1, this movie looks amazing. I know DICE likes to put easter eggs in their games so I wonder if we'll see an amazon warrior reference somewhere in a future dlc. On a side note, I thought we had a Wonder Woman topic already for the teaser trailer, but I didn't see one.

RWBY and Red vs. Blue (first five seasons) were both on netflix until earlier this year. Netflix has dropped the ball with content this year. Its looking like they don't renew any of their streaming content anymore once the contracts expire.

When you say portable table, do you mean a large size table or a lap desk? If you need a lap desk I recommend the "Sophia & Sam" brand. I got this one for lady a while back and it works great for her: https://www.amazon.com/Sofia-Sam-Mini-Memory-Color/dp/B0128I6DT8/ I'm going to buy a larger size non-pink version for myself with wrist padding and enough room for a mouse. The memory foam makes it pretty comfortable. (edits first post to include kotaku link I forgot)

Holy crap those boat kills were impressive. Great blimp kills too.

I like the stationary AA guns because they're devastating. whenever I get on one I destroy every enemy plane in the sky in under 2 mins and then move on to the objective. lol. sucks for ppl that fly planes but those guns can be destroyed. I think they serve as the only real counter to prevent players from staying in a plane for an entire round like they used to in Bf4. if these guns existed in bf4 helicopters wouldn't stand a chance. Skip to the end of this video and watch how devastating a simple gunboat can be to the dreadnought. Whenever the enemy team has a dreadnought I'll be going for a gunboat asap.
