So much action. This could have been a great plot for a Battlefront campaign. -
The second video got removed by EA before I got a chance to see it. That BAR looks beastly. That city map looks so damn refreshing. I love vehicles in Battlefield games but getting destroyed by light tanks the entire beta made me pass on watching all BF1 videos with desert scenes over the last 2-3 weeks. This city map reminds me alot of BF4's Pearl Market map. Good times. That hellfighter trench shotgun looks beastly. I can't tell if its a new shotgun or just a skin of another. Same with the early enlister weapons. I think those are all re-skins of existing weapons but buying that version is like buying an early unlock for those weapons. Ehh.. I think I'll go with the regular version of the game and play GW2 halloween activities while waiting for BF1 to open up for me on that friday.

Battlefield 1 comes out in 8 days, I'm ordering the early enlister version off amazon tonight for the 20% discount with prime membership. But I'm on the fence about buying premium. I'm sure I'll get my money out of it, but are we really going to get any significant benefit out of it prior to the first DLC's release? I was thinking about holding off on buying premium until the first DLC.

As soon as they announce awesome stuff for it like a one day 500x XP boost, I'll buy it and that'll be the day PSN gets DDOS'd for 18 hours. -
After looking at the early enlister edition, I think I'm going with the regular base game instead to save an extra $16. The hellfighter and lawrence of arabia stuff doesn't look like its worth the extra $16 to me. The difference is actually $20, but compared to amazon prime prices, I'll save $16. I won't be able to play the game until the 21st which is no big deal to me. I remember BF4's early launch and the servers were a mess. Paying for early access with BF4 was really like paying to be in their server stress test. We're also guaranteed to have PSN down for most of that week too with DDOS attacks too I bet.

Since I mentioned apps like Sling, I found out about an app thats been out for a couple years now and I'm just now hearing about it. lol. Anyone use Kodi? Theres a google app and PC app version. Apparently with a couple addons like "1Channel", and others like it, everyone can watch tv and movies for free. Of course none of the sites you can download the addons from call themselves illegal but its pretty obvious to me. It looks like a much simpler way to watch new movies without having to actually turn on a bittorrent program. I didn't think getting illegal movies would be easier than torrents, but now its so simple people just have to click a play button. I blame all these easy ways to watch movies as the main reason every damn movie has subtitle scenes now since subtitles are almost never part of an actual movie rip. -
I like the cross arms, but /facepalm is my favorite now. -
The closest Eyeglasses World is 200 miles from my house. lol. I'll have to look at some other retailers. With my insurance I'm usually paying around $200 for glasses with light weight lenses with Crizal. I'll never get glasses without Crizal again. Its the best anti-glare coating for pc use and night driving imo. @Myk JL I watched Zootopia this morning and this video about racism. I can understand some of the points they make in the video, but I felt a pretty strong sense of racism when I was watching the movie. I suppose it should really be called "speciesism" tho, but whatever its called, Judy Hopps' parents were so prejudiced against non-bunnies that it was shocking to see that in a kid's movie. Some of Disney's movies really seemed to be focused on adults and teens instead of children. From the commercials I saw I assumed Zootopia was more of a kid's movie, but I enjoyed it. I laughed quite often.

I didn't know people had paid channels on twitch like youtube. I like the ad-free option, but most people use ad-block anyway. Thats why the movies are good. They're high quality made for tv movies that somehow went to theater instead of going straight to the Syfy channel. Have you seen the CG movie, Resident Evil: Degeneration? Its good and more closely follows the games while having an original plot. Theres another CG movie coming out soon but the plot of it sounds like a Resident Evil 1 reboot. I still want a reboot of Resident Evil to happen that does the characters right. -
That was epic! This video makes complete sense. Why the hell should plastic frames cost as much as a smartphone? Its all a monopoly with no price competition. This is some bullshit.

I didn't care for the battery aspect of the game either. I never did go back to this game and I won't bother with Outlast 2. I get eye strain too easy and swapping between constant low light and a camera's night vision wasn't all that fun to me.

Looks like a fun movie. I'm glad they're going to give the series an ending. Now we'll probably get a reboot of Resident Evil based on the game's plot in a few years.

I played this demo sometime in september, but it was so short I thought I missed something. I tried it again and I got the same ending in two different rooms. I read the demo has been getting updated to add more things every couple weeks or so, but I don't see myself redownloading it just to see what we can do with a finger at this point when I can just watch a youtube video about it. I don't know why this game is called Resident Evil when it doesn't have anything to do with the t-virus or any of the existing characters from the series and it doesn't look like there will be any combat in it either. It feels more like a copy of P.T. but not as scary.

Looks great! Run mace off hand with that axe along with headbutt elite and you'll wreck break bars. Run dual mace and you can solo any champ's breakbar with ease. Mace F1 with full adrenaline knocks 50% off, then mace 5, then headbutt to finish the breakbar and get full adrenaline again, F1 burst, swap to great sword, F1 burst again, skill 2, then spin to win with skill 3. After that combo you'll probably have at least 10 stacks of might too. I usually run with Axe/mace & greatsword. I almost never see a champ on my own so I almost never run mace main hand tho. Using axe in that same combo is pretty much the same except I start every fight with headbutt and burst combo. -
Nice. I know that machined longbow is needed for the dragon hunter ascended longbow, someone made it two days ago and linked it in map chat. The only responses they got were: grats? lmao. That machined longbow should have been the reward instead of needing it to make that horrible skin. -

Torrenting really died off alot thanks to Netflix, but with all hassle of needing to swap between different apps to view content and commercials starting to become much more prevalent online, torrenting is going to start becoming big again. I was initially thinking about Sling blue package just because of AMC and a couple other channels in it. Outside of cable it looks Sling and PlayStation Vue are the only alternatives to cable that will give me access to AMC. The other benefit of alot of the streaming only services is the reduced or no commercials benefit. The bullshit of it all really falls on the cable companies. If cable doesn't want people to switch to online only they need to offer better plans. If I could get a Sling Blue package with Time Warner I'd be completely content. With Time Warner have the shittiest options for cable. Either get the standard package with no AMC or get the next 2 tier packages that are only separated by about $10. Thats it. Theres no middle ground or options with Time Warner. I want a cable package with no sports. No ESPN, I don't care if I have Disney or not either. As it is I have 200 channels I don't watch and don't need. It seems like such a waste. I'm paying for all these channels and they all have advertisements on top of it. The lure of swapping to streaming only is huge. Even if it only saves me $30 a month, I'd have less commercials. -

I have noticed the selection isn't nearly what it used to be. Back in the day I'd search for a movie and 80% of the time it was on netflix. Now I don't even use the search feature because the last 20 movies I've searched for are never on there. Netflix used to be this great replacement to blockbuster with every movie made available, but now it looks like all the content rights holders and networks are pulling their properties off and either selling the rights to other streaming services like Amazon Prime or Hulu or they're making their own streaming service like CBS all access. I'm tempted to cut my cable and switch to streaming only services but I still haven't found a combo of apps or services that will give me the channel selection or content I fully want. I already have amazon prime and netflix. But to replace cable I figure if I go with Sling blue with HBO and starz, hulu, hbo go (part of my cable package now), and over the air HD antenna I'd have the majority of the channels I watch with cable except for science channel. I'd probably save about $30 a month over my current cable plan. Anyone use Sling? Also, with the companies pulling their content from netflix and making their own streaming services, maybe in the near future cable will actually be a good deal again compared to being nickel and dimed by all the different apps? The second movie wasn't the best, but the third did tie it all together nicely. The 4th movie was ok but Barbossa's role in the movie felt poorly written to me and his character was completely off character compared to the previous movies. It felt more like a filler movie to keep people reminded of the franchise until they made a new blockbuster or potential new trilogy. I think the guy in this trailer is the same one from the 4th movie that fell in love with a mermaid. If it is I don't see why they'd bring him back, his character was no Will Turner and was quite bland. As for that clip... I love how she has M320 grenades strapped to her chest and no weapon that can actually shoot them. Mario and Luigi would have to bust out their painted super scopes and help her murder some more goombas. -
No Johnny Depp in the trailer, but it looks very promising.

After seeing it in that humble bundle I assumed it'd be F2P by the end of the year. I doubt I'll play any multiplayer but I would like to play the campaign assuming thats in the F2P version.
