As long as Support's mortar has a decent aiming mechanism I'll play alot of support just to mortar the hell out of snipers. I did it alot in BF4 and support was a close tie for my second favorite class to play (tied with engineer, I loved that EOD bot. ). I went through all those bomber assignments to unlock that UCAV for support and I played the hell out of it after I got it. But with the gadgets support is getting in BF1 I'm really disappointed. btw, the MG36 was my go to LMG and I regret not giving support more of my time during the beta to try out those machine guns to see how they compare. That revive was crazy bugged. I saw maybe 3 icons for reviving the entire match I played as a medic. And I was going to try to kill someone with the revive needle, but I accidentally revived the teammate behind me. I had no idea he died, and then I got melee'd in the back. His corpse ruined my needle kill. That rifle grenade is almost a duplicate of the BF3's Xbow aka crossbow with C4 arrows. Same range and same weak damage, had to arc the hell out of it too. I think those grenades are supposed to be the equivalent of BF4's assault's underslung M320 grenade launcher. I'd like to see the medic class get access to shotguns or a shotgun style gadget for up close encounters. Hell, even that little shield would be nice to have. Throw down a shield, throw down a medic crate, sit there and heal. I don't like that shield for snipers. I don't see how it'll be balanced when everyone is using them. It won't affect killing snipers that are sniping you because if you're in their sights, you can shoot right down their barrel for a kill. The problem I'm seeing is we won't be able to snipe half the snipers out there from different angles because it'll hit their shield instead. But at the same time they won't have the angle needed to actually shoot back at that person. I'm assuming that once the shield is placed it'll be in a fixed position tho. The much narrower field of view and angles from it might make people not even want to use it unless they are in specific locations like aiming down a hallway or they have it placed to have a perfect angle at other choke points. That decoy thing sounds like it'll be the equivalent of a T-UGS sensor so thats no big deal to me. Once I had C4 unlocked I never used a TUGS again except for in TDM. I'd like to see a recon beacon of some kind added to the class tho and a bit of a nerf to the bullet drop. If BF1 had BF4 bullet drop and bullet velocity it'd be in a good spot, but if thats not going to happen, I think they need to decrease bullet velocity to make sniping a bit more challenging. It seems so damn odd to me that the WW1 rifles in BF1 are 100% more accurate and easier to shoot than the modern rifles of BF4.

Support really needs some better gadgets. I don't mind that dynamite doesn't stick, but I'd like for it to follow some physics. If I can get some placed on the hood of the car, the windshield should keep it on, but instead it floats right thru the entire vehicle and drops to the ground.

I made a couple quick videos of GW1 today. Heres all the maps from the core game and expansions: I still haven't beaten one of the expansions and that land mass is pretty empty for my account. Same with exploring all available maps. I never went hard core into GW1 so theres more maps I still haven't seen. With all the land mass shown in GW1, GW2 still has plenty of room for new maps. The majority of GW1 is instanced, so even though I went to bloodstone fen in this video you can't really see any of it because its only the social area leading into the actual mission that I went to. Also, heres a look at my Hall of Monuments: You can see how empty mine is except for minis. Its obvious I didn't play the hell out the game like I could have. I didn't get any of my hero's armor ascended which is why I only have MOX in there. Looking at my weapon and armor stats, I see why the end game stuff was so difficult for me. Knowing what I know now of GW2 stats I should go back into GW1, re-equip everyone and rip some dungeons apart.

I've never played an EDF game before but that does look fun. That giant frog monster backing away from that little human. lol. He should have jumped right on the player and squished him.

That reminds me so much of Tenchu: Stealth Assassins for PS1. I still have that game, lol. I had no idea there were more Tenchu games. I loved that grappling hook.

Theres all kinds of room left on the map. I was going to take a quick video of the guild wars 1 map and post it but I forgot to set GW1 to download all game files and holy crap those servers are slow. I needed to load up my hall of monuments again because for the 2nd time ANET has took my HoM points and rewards away because of their system to detect improper rewards from a patch they screwed up on a year ago. The map can easily expand in all directions and it's still not as big as the map from Guild Wars 1. And all the calls for an Elona expansion is because it gives us even more land thats not even on the current GW2 map at all. I don't know why I can't find a video of the Guild Wars 1 total map space on youtube. I figure I'll make one for reference. I also forgot how much better the character select screen is than GW2. Moving the camera around at the location that specific character last logged in from is pretty epic looking (edit: I was wrong, turns out its the same location of Eye of The North for all characters, it just so happened thats where my main character was, I guess the screen is set to that because it was the last expansion. Still looks awesome.). Theres still some maps on GW1 I never went to like the realm of torment and other high end game maps. I enjoyed the GW1 plot but I didn't get obsessed with it like I did with GW2. I still haven't beaten the factions expansion either. Maybe I will now that I'm installing it again.

I finished watching The Shannara Chronicles on netflix last night. That was a great Lord of the Rings style series that I never heard about until I saw it on netflix. And it was made by MTV. wtf. Thats like having CMT make a new Battlestar Galacta series. No wonder I never heard of this show. If you like the fantasy genre, I recommend it. Elves, humans, dwarves, gnomes, trolls and demons all exist in a far off future earth long after the time of man. Magic is big in this and it even has it's own version of Gandalf.

The fire island chain is giving me some hype. I'm starting to wonder if the living story is going to be just a build up for a Primordus expansion or if we're going to actually fight and kill the dragon in this season of living story and the next expansion will actually be Kralkatorrik. Theres so much lore in this game we really don't need each dragon to have it's own expansion. We could tear through dragons in living story chapters and get an Elona expansion with Palawa Joko or a separate Mursaat expansion. Either way I'd like to see the living story have major enemies and plot resolutions and not just be build up for the next expansion. In hindsight LW2 felt like nothing but a promo for a wrestlemania style event that was Heart of Thorns. Aside from laying the ground work with the egg there was no major accomplishments made in LW2 imo except for giving us a couple maps to explore.

Nice! TP-LINK is a good brand.

I like the concept of dynamic weather but that sandstorm lasted way to long for as dense as it was. I had 2 matches in a row with a sandstorm and by the end of the second match I was glad it ended early because I was about to quit it out of frustration. I never saw the fog, or if I did it was followed up by a sandstorm and I didn't realize they were 2 separate things. I miss helicopters. People were using the planes just to transport themselves up to the ridge lines just to parachute off to hack a bunch of scouts to death. I would see so many planes getting wasted.

The quick menu is so much better now.

Don't buy a switch, buy a router. That model you have is referring to the 8 ports you can plug into the back of it as the 'switch'. A normal switch lets you hook up a bunch of PC's via wired connection like old LAN parties back in the day. But all modern routers have firewalls built into them. What you had was a router and you'll want to buy a new router to replace it. I just checked slickdeals.net and this router could be good for you: http://www.staples.com/NETGEAR-AC1200-Dual-Band-Wi-Fi-Router-R6100-100NAS/product_71445 $25 for an AC1200 router is pretty damn nice, but reviews on amazon make it sound like the wifi is not reliable. But since you don't want wifi anyway, just plug your PC into the ethernet port and don't worry about the wifi since all wifi's are already password protected out of the box. Every router does has an admin screen you can get into and make changes to the wifi settings, change the wifi password or possibly turn the wifi off depending on the router's options. Pretty much all routers are wifi by default nowadays as far as I know but you can either turn it off or set the name of your wifi to not broadcast so nobody can even see that you have wifi. The only downside I see to this router is no gigabit connection. But unless you are doing high speed transfers of files between two PCs over your home network connection I wouldn't worry about it. That and unless your PC even has a gigabit port. As far as I know mine does, but I've never seen the need to have a gigabit connection. If you don't want wifi, just about any cheap router will work fine for you. Even a cheap low end belkin router has 300 mbps connections that is faster than most internet connections: https://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Wireless-Router-Latest-Generation/dp/B004N6259Q/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1473910224&sr=1-1&keywords=belkin+router If you've never looked at the admin screen for a router before, google search the brand of the router with admin screen and you can see what the interface looks like. https://www.google.com/search?q=belkin+admin+page

Sony is really dropping the ball on the PS4 Pro in my opinion. It will have no 4k Blu ray player support because "streaming is the future". I'm not rushing out to buy any 4k tvs or consoles anytime soon, but seriously sony? You own the patent on the devices and you're not putting it in your own product? If I was into 4k everything, I'd be pissed. I prefer physical movies to streaming any day. Blu rays give me much better audio and look crisper than when I stream off netflix. Even the Xbox One slim will have a 4k bluray player. The PS4 slim and Pro should both have it too, but wont. I bet at least 1/4 of the US has data caps or crap internet and 4k streaming won't even be an option for them. It feels like Sony is narrowing down its core customer base a bit too fast. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/why-ps4-pro-doesnt-have-a-4k-blu-ray-player/1100-6443411/

At least we'll finally be able to organize our games. I don't swap between playing alot of games so it hasn't bothered me before but it has always looked completely disorganized to me.

The BAR is a beast of a gun. The first time I remember hearing about it was on this sons of guns episode. Skip past all the personal crap in the episode and check out the gun build for it:

Someone in Russia named Reidor uploaded the full game. It looks like there are issues getting it play with the audio synced correctly. I've always been interested in this game, but I'm not going to screw around with trying to get it to work. I'll watch a full gameplay of it on youtube later this week in my free time. The game looks great. The UI is very similar to the original The Secret of Monkey Island. I loved games like this.

Ah, that makes sense that its destroyable. I didn't get the chance to play any more today, ended up being too busy and left the PS4 sitting on a pause screen again half the day. I think the free weekend is good until 7pm est tomorrow. I might get a few rounds in before dinner if thats the case.
-
I was having a good time with Junkrat. Its obvious its all newbs in this match. What I don't understand is how I didn't get a single kill with my first wheel ult. I blew it up but not even a hit marker. And I ended up having the same issue my brother told me about with saving videos on PS4. If you back out of the menu too quick, even though you see the confirmation "video saved" it will not save your video. Not a single one of my 5 videos I saved of Roadhog saved.
-
I hear ya Strider. I played about 4 rounds tonight and the teams I kept getting just wanted to play the characters they wanted. I'm putting more of the blame on it being a free weekend because there was at least 1 guy on me team in each match that swapped characters at least 3-4 times in the match just to try out characters. But even then nobody wanted to diversify the team. I always feel the team needs at least 1 tank and 1 healer regardless of the rest of the composition. Nobody chose either. I felt obligated to play tank in my last 3 rounds so I put my Junkrat away and played as Roadhog most of the time. I liked Roadhog and Junkrat from the beta so I vaguely remembered how to play them somewhat ok. I lucked out and had some teammate boosting my strength and another match I had a Mercy giving me heals, but damn that roadhog is slow. After I died it felt like it'd take me about 10 seconds of walking just to get back to the payload and back to the fight. I'm guessing the matchmaking isn't all that great for us because we're low levels. Firing from the hip is throwing me off too. lol. It'll take a while to get the hang of it. I'll play some more rounds later tomorrow but I'm still trying to get through my Killzone game. I won't be buying Overwatch for quite a while mostly because I just bought a couch and extra spending for me is not going to happen anytime soon, that and I will be buying BF1 and that'll keep me very busy. I still wish Overwatch had a campaign. The game starts off with that nice sequence with Winston talking about the world needing heroes again.. but that doesn't match up with the everyone versus everyone gameplay at all. "The world needs heroes... to battle each other in the streets to ensure a car can go from point A to Point B."
-
I bought a new couch today. Couches are so costly. I think I'll hold off on buying premium for bf1 until the first dlc comes out to save some cash. 6 months zero percent financing was a good deal but all my extra cash will be going to my couch payments now.
-
The game looks decent to me but I'd still only want it for the campaign. I'm sure the pre-orders are crazy high because of the 2 for 1 game price. Once the combo of these two games drops to $30 or less on sale I'll most likely pick it up just for the remake.
-
Lmao. That poor Winston. He couldn't kill crap. You even hooked him during his ult without having to worry about him. I downloaded Overwatch and was going to play some last night but I had an active puppy and instead I left killzone on the pause screen for 2+ hours.
