lmao. That laptop is massive. GTX 1080 chip and a massive screen for a laptop.. I bet this will easily cost over $2,000 but it'll be beastly for years and run everything at max settings.

I got on for a few rounds tonight with my brother. Turns out we had to be in a PSN party to play on the same game together. And either the game glitched on me and wouldn't let me choose what game to play or it is set for the PSN party owner to choose what game to play. As soon as he started loading into a game of conquest it gave me a pop up that a friend was joining a match and asked me if I wanted to join it. It worked out good but it did put us into a pre-locked party that we had to leave before being able to join into a full squad with other players. I got a few good kills in a tank seat, jumped out before it exploded and then melee'd an enemy and got a DICE dog tag off them. I'll upload the video tomorrow. That was some good fun. Also spotting is definitely busted. I spent some war bonds on a spotting scope gadget for scout class, which is supposed to spot enemies for your team. When you look thru it it says to look at enemies to spot them. It didn't matter what I did, or any button I pressed nobody would get spotted even if I was staring straight at an enemy for 10 seconds. I want a refund on my war bonds.

I'm impressed. 2 games I actually contemplated purchasing but held off on. PS+ is finally going to give me games I really want. I'm shocked.

That sounds like a great improvement. I need to change my airplane controls later today. Using the left stick to control the throttle is horrible by default. I mention the plane controls because my brother swapped his back to bf4 style and easily had full control of his plane. He sent me this video earlier of the 3 kills he got this morning. The last one shouldn't count imo.

Great shots! I was wondering why conquest matches were so damn short. I've never seen a match actually hit 200 tickets for either team and the train spawns so late in the match the losing team doesn't have it long enough to even come close to catching up. Look at the ticket count at the end of the video I posted with my train killing spree. With all those flags getting we capped and getting huge kills, my team still lost by a big margin. If rush is longer, I'll get on that instead. I'm a casual player and normally I complain about games not appealing to casuals, but this is battlefield. We need large and long conquest matches. TDM and domination are supposed to be for the casuals, not conquest.

My younger brother somehow got the insider code for his XBox One even though he requested the code for PS4. I played for a few more hours tonight and had alot of fun until the last match when I seemed to die within 20 seconds of spawning anywhere on the map. x_x They need to fix the spawn locations. Spawning on any flag puts you right out near the flag in full open view of everyone. Spotting really needs to get less restrictive IMO. You can only spot an enemy if your cross hairs are directly over them and that needs to change. I say that because your have to basically be a sniper with your spotting. If your cross hairs are just over the should of the enemy by a pixel it wont spot them and if you hit the button and then re-aim directly on them and hit it again the game will think you're spamming the spot button and still wont register the spot. The R1 button is almost worthless with spotting like it is. Its only good for squad leaders to call a target on what flag to attack. Its really annoying me because I spot every enemy I can to help the team and I can't even spot a damn airplane while running because I hit the R1 button just off the wing tip because it was banking while I'm running, and then it considers it button mashing again and my spotting is basically disabled for another 20 seconds. Along with shooting no longer making you appear on the mini map there is no spotting going on at all. The last part doesn't bother me, but people not being able to actively spot enemies is a nuisance. Sniping is fun but my aim still seems way off. I briefly tried the support class and couldn't kill crap with the machine gun, I think the enemy was just out of range of it's optimum damage. It feels like the flags need more transportation options. I'd often find myself waiting for a vehicle or horse to spawn and get bored and start running. The tank is OP. Heres a video of some scout gameplay and my tank killstreak as the second half of the video:

I watched thru this video the other day and forgot to reply to this. The overall engine looks impressive. The amount of detail is really amazing, but for someone like me its honestly way to much detail. lol. This game was definitely not made for someone as casual as me. Theres no way I could play this game in hour increments considering the character has to literally go every where, interact with every minuscule thing and the only fast travel is basically your own ship. Sure these guys were showing off the engine, but to meet someone to get a single mission, go to that other location, kill 3 or 4 enemies, grab some loot.. it'll take close to an hour. And thats just some side mission. If theres a full blown campaign, I couldn't imagine how long that would take. Multiplayer sounds like fun, but unless everything is instanced somehow, what would prevent people from landing their ship on top of yours to block you in? Couldn't someone just fly their ship straight into you as you walk across the planet. Imagine getting punted off a moon and drifting through space. With only 2 people in the game the FPS took a hit a few times. Sure the game isn't done yet, but I wonder what will happen when they test it under full load with thousands of people wandering around on a single planet. Everyone thought the division looked great in the trailers but in the end everyone was waiting in line: Imagine all the people lined up to talk to the guy at the bar for a mission in Star Citizen.

I took a long lunch break today and got about 20 minutes of game time in. Sniping is good, but I really need some practice with it. I keep shooting just over a shoulder. I also got to try out a horse. lmao. It auto swapped me to a hand gun that I had wouldn't let me ADS and it threw me all off. Then I realized I could weapon swap to the sabre and cut some guy up. Heres my highlights from those 20 minutes:

It'll be nice not having to constantly tap a button to get into a plane. I'm going to miss not having helicopters in a battlefield game.

Heres 30 minutes of gameplay. I skipped around thru it because I don't want any spoilers. Even though these guys are fighting massive creatures and then casually driving away on perfect roads in a luxury car, the thing that is the most unbelievable to me is that mechanic's outfit. That looks like high level MMORPG armor she's wearing.

I'd still play this game for the campaign but that now puts this game into my campaign queue. I still want to buy Doom, Uncharted 4 and MGS on black friday and then theres still other campaign games I already own but haven't played yet like Mass Effect 1-3. I'll hold off on buying TF2 until it has a significant price cut seeing as BF1 will be my goto for multiplayer.

I tried this tech demo again for about an hour today and I'm just not feeling the love for this game. The increased titans makes the game feel more like titanfall 1 but with the pilot's crap for damage anti titan weapons the counter now is to damage the enemy titan enough to finish off your titan meter and then summon your titan down on their head to instant kill them with no kill credit. It happened to me once and then I started doing it myself and I'm pretty certain I killed 3 enemy titans with my titanfall on a B point. Just before I died I dropped it right in the middle of them, I then respawned, saw a hit marker and our team captured B before I even got back to it. And my titan was still alive at full health. The lack of any strategy or teamwork in this game makes this feel like call of duty but with mechs. Spawn, kill some ppl, die, rinse, repeat every 30 seconds. If they had a game mode with 12 vs 12 on a bigger map and you could spawn on squadmates it'd be a much better game imo. And I suck at removing batteries. I swear I can't get behind an enemy titan worth a damn. From what i can see, aside from unlocking new weapons, I bet we could probably experience everything the game has to offer within one weekend of the games release. At least with Overwatch there are varying combinations of characters and classes to keep things interesting. These maps still don't have enough wall running options to justify not keeping the grapple hook on at all times. I tried using the pulse blade more but alot of ppl grapple hook onto roofs or from one building to another while the person without the grapple hook equipped can't catch up or get to high enough ground.

That looks like one of the best anime to game conversions I've seen.

I'm really surprised by the driver support from Nvidia. I'm not used to updating graphics drivers and I just realized that at least 5-8 driver updates have already come out over the last month alone. I guess I'll be updating my graphics drivers after work today.

I'm ordering a new propane smoker tomorrow. To hell with using charcoal anymore. The smoke from burning charcoal and cleaning the ash afterwards over the last couple years has made me realize I can't stand using the crap anymore. It was a good learning experience and I can easily maintain the heat with charcoal, but its too time consuming and it makes a mess. I'm going to start making more jerky and pulled pork. Especially pulled pork. I love doing a double batch and freezing the leftovers. Nothing beats eating an amazing pulled pork sandwich in the middle of winter without having to cook it in 5 feet of snow.

These guys saw a big pay day and took it. Now that they got a huge influx of cash, they can make the real game they wanted to and now call it "No Man's Sky 2" and cash in again. Assuming that Hello Games doesn't get bought by another company. Watch Facebook buy them and have them make a VR only version for the Oculous Rift and every time someone discovers a new species it'll plaster it all over their feed like an annoying Farmville game.

I knew they were a small company, but I was hoping for some kind of plot to the game. They said it would be pretty much just an exploration game of an entire universe and then the hype train threw everyone's expectations all over the place. Thanks for your info on it. I always wondered why they kept saying "center of the galaxy" instead of "center of the universe" considering the game is the size of a universe. I kept thinking there would be an engine upgrade or there was some kind of massive stargate to travel between galaxies or something, but instead you get reset with a new game+ basically by going to the center of any galaxy.. and then another galaxy gets procedurally made. Eh. I know alot of people like simulation or survival games that have no plot like goat simulator, space engineers, Rust, etc. I honestly don't care for that type of game tho. I'll pass on No Man's Sky. The exploration aspect of it would be much more appealing to me if I actually saw more diverse life forms. Sure the life forms are diverse, but most of them look like random animal parts put together in some kind of horrific jigsaw puzzle and their limbs and featuristics don't seem to make sense based on the planet they are found on, evolutionary speaking. That and every picture I see always tends to be in the same color spectrum. Every creature seems to have yellowish, green or red highlights. When exploring an entire universe I always think of star trek or star wars. So many humanoid or intelligent species. But in No Man's Sky the only hint of other sentient species are those aliens that sit inside of buildings or some ships you come across in space from what I saw. Knowing that the only thing to look forward to in this game is to find more and more whacky looking creatures it's quickly loosing my interest. The hype train really got No Man's Sky popular. It really is an indie game that got blown way out of proportions and got a price tag to match it. I just watched this: It seems so accurate.

Good. I'll set this up on my account later today.
-
I was surprised they're doing this. It'll separate alot of the player base that don't buy the pass tho. But as long as we're all playing within the time fame of the DLC's releases it'll be some damn good fun. I know I'll buy the pass like I did with BF3 and BF4. I wish I didn't have to. They could have made the game $79 base instead and included all future DLC and I think they'd have gotten alot better PR from that.
-
I'm glad they'll increase the overall speed and the titanfalls, it should help make the game feel more like a sequel and not another call of duty. New maps with more wall running combos will help alot too.
-
I'm going to wait to pre-order until the beta. I don't pre-order games anymore, but I know I will for this game. But if I pre-order after or during the beta, maybe others will too and it'll encourage EA to keep making games impressive in their betas.

I liked the original Ring movies all those years ago. This could be decent. I won't rush out to go see it tho. It looks like a high quality Syfy movie and I love a good b-movie.

I think the company behind this property is trying to forget that Blair Witch 2 was ever made. From the look of the trailer its basically going to be the exact same movie as before except with more people to scream into cameras.
-
I just looked and its true. They're actually selling a standalone collectors edition with all the stuff except the game for $129.99. I guess its so people can pre-order the game somewhere else but still buy all the fancy stuff. Theres other versions with the game for $60 more, but I wonder how many people will not notice the text saying "game not included" and buy that collectors edition and then complain that they got ripped off.

https://www.humblebundle.com/capcom-playstation-bundle Its nice to see Sony finally getting in on these bundles, but I'm a bit disappointed that the majority of the games are for PS3. The original Resident Evil remaster for PS4 does seem tempting for me to buy this, but with it being roughly $15 I'm wondering if its worth it for just the few games I'll actually play.
