Steam Greenlight doesn't seem so bad. At least most of those games are actual full games unlike Steam Early Access which is basically Steam's own version of kickstarter, except these games never have to be fully developed or even completed. I wouldn't worry too much about Nintendo leaving the console market. As long as there are at least 2 companies there will always be good competition. Its the same with mobile phone / tablet gaming now. Theres only Android and iOS with windows phone in a small niche of the market just like for consoles theres only Playstation and Xbox with nintendo in a small niche of the market. Steam OS might eventually become something more main stream if game companies actually start making their games for linux. I've said this before but I still think the consoles will eventually die off and turn into streaming only services once bandwidth and controller latency issues eventually get improved. Playstation 7 will probably be the equivalent of a roku stick with a controller. That way we'll never have to upgrade a console again. They'll just upgrade their servers that run all the games and there will always be PC quality graphics. And once that becomes a thing all the PC games will turn into streaming only services too. Even tho everyone's PCs could run the games themselves the game companies will become streaming only to stop pirating games once and for all. Sure there will be countries or locations with crap internet still, but by the time Playstation 7 is coming out the wireless networks could be so advanced we could use it's internet connection instead of having any more landlines. Then again I could be predicting something that will never happen like all those people back in the 40s thought we'd have flying cars by now. Back to Pokemon Go.. the fact that this game became this popular and made as much money as it has already is a bit concerning. Game developers see games like this and think "More Social = More Money" Every game is slowly becoming online only, connected to online servers 24/7 and requires everyone to interact with everyone else. The good days of single player AAA campaign games are slowly coming to an end. Why would a company want to develop AAA solo campaign games that will be hacked within a week or 2 of release and torrented to everyone for free, when those same companies can put that development money into a mobile game with some of the strongest DRM ever (online only server connection required, free download, microtransactions, etc.) and get full profit. The only other way to counter that is to make AAA games like Overwatch that also requires a constant online connection to servers. Almost every solo campaign game has an online multiplayer now as an incentive for people to actually buy the game if they pirated it. I haven't played Pokemon Go yet, but I am going to try it this weekend. I want to see what locations near me are considered gyms so I can avoid hitting people with my car in those areas when they walk into the street staring at their phones.

I'm really surprised he thought this was Caladbog, even in the video he swaps over to some screen shots of it and it looks nothing like this. I'm guessing he came to some new legendary sword conclusion because every other gift hes gotten from NCsoft was a teaser for something taking place in new content. But this is definitely sunrise or eternity. It does look pretty cool tho. But I think he might have been right about a new legendary GS. The gift he got was a legendary, the picture shows a sylvaria holding it. His previous gifts were hint at new content and Caladbog was pretty much a legendary weapon, except lacking footfalls. Reforging it into a legendary would have been fun if the legendaries weren't all canceled. Alot of people thought the new HoT legendary GS would have been plant based like Kudzu, and having it be Caladbog or a newer version of it forged from it's broken hilt would have been fitting.

I have never seen a campaign mission in any FPS game were the player is never hit by a single bullet.. at all. I'm guessing this was set on easy mode. The mission looks good, but with no sense of possible failure it makes me think the game will be best to watch on a lets play than to actually purchase. I don't think I ever finished that assignment. I hated that game mode. If any server I was on switched over to it, I'd rage quit out before it even began. x_x

There's a skill rating in BF4? Lol. I forgot all about that. I'm guessing that's what's determining the balance now. I need to check my battlelog and see what my skill level is at. In going to miss not having my airburst and UCAV in BF1. Those were my favorite weapons introduced in BF4.

I think Nintendo has finally realized they can make massive amounts of money with their properties on non-Nintendo dedicated systems. Do you think this will affect Nintendo's console decisions in the future? Their handheld market has always been lucrative for them, but by braking out of their hardware comfort zone and succeeding, how long do you think it will be before we see more game releases from Nintendo on Android and iOS? Mobile pays off as big as it does because of the sheer amount of people that have access to it. I had a really good experience in BF4 on my last match that reinforces what you're saying. If you're good it doesn't matter what team you're on as long as the balance is right. I know alot of changes were made to BF4 as a precursor to BF1's roll out. On my last game of conquest I got a pop up message telling me "You were placed on this team based on your skill" or something like that. First time I've ever seen that message. Even tho half the other team was level 110+ players, I came in third place on my team with points and we only lost by 12 tickets. A good chunk of my team was level 60s+ like myself with about ten or so level 110+s, That was the most balanced game I've seen in BF4 in a long time. I think it was on a custom server too. They must have changed the server rental rules or something so that if you want "official server" status you have to have balancing turned on so the admin can't stack a team in their own favor. I could be wrong on that assumption but I hope thats the case. And playing the objective gives you a crap ton more points than just killing people.

That was some great sniping. Operations is going to be extremely fun. The only problem I could see happening tho is if one team wins easily at the beginning, alot of people might just drop out and the remaining two matches afterwards could be lopsided as all hell with a bunch of randoms jumping in off and on. And at the same time, if a bunch of people jump out and the server rebalances the teams inbetween matches.. it would suck to feel like you were really pushing the team and owning to all of a sudden be on the defense team in the next round. That would break the immersion pretty bad.

Healing sniper is an interesting twist. I wonder how many people will actually play as her considering her alt only benefits another character. If the play of the game goes to the buffed character's attack rather than Ana for using her ult, then I bet she'll become much less popular after the initial spike of interest in a new character wears off.

Not an informative video and all the chatter reminds me of the one pewdiepie video I watched, ehh. But it does show some great plane teamwork and sniper footage. I now want to get in one of these planes and fly all over the place. The extra gunner seat should really balance out flying so ace pilots don't dominate nearly as much. I say that, but I'm sure they'll still own me. But at least it'll be more fun.

I've read around 8 random chapters of OPM and it reminds me of classic cartoons like voltron or Thundercats in the sense that you know those hero's will never lose, except in OPM he already knows it. From what I've read it's pretty funny tho. So many characters get giant intros and all this character depth as if everyone is Hercule from dbz but it actually incredibly strong.. and then OPM simply punches the guy and wins. If not for his cyborg friend and everyone else battling each other and the masses of 'mysterious beings' aka different ranked monsters that keep attacking mankind, it would get boring pretty quick.

I was looking at the sniper scope glint in a couple videos and its hardly anything compared to the bf4 scope glint. I'll be using the marksman scopes almost exclusively. It looks to be about the same zoom distance as the variable scope 14x I loved using in bf4.

Always bayonet charge thru closed doors but don't do that charge when running long distances because you'll only screw yourself with the slow down animation. And I didn't notice it in the other videos but anti tank rifles must be bipoded on something to be used. I was assuming I'd be using that thing like an rpg on occasion, but having to prone or mount it on a wall for every use will take a bit to get used to. That slide looks alot like the slide we had in destiny and in the newer wolfenstein game. I'm sure it will combo well with a shotgun from my experience with those other games.

I was thinking about this earlier.. with medics reviving with full heals every time, 1-2 kill instant shots aren't nearly as devastating if that enemy has a squad mate nearby to revive them almost immediately. This game will have minimal camping with how these classes are being rebalanced.

Damn that bullet velocity is insane. After watching that video I'm sure it'll get nerfed. Theres no way they'll let it be that easy to snipe. If they do I probably won't play any other class.

My budget is going to start putting a hurt on me soon. $400 for new snow tires, $400 next month for 6 months bulk car insurance, new graphics card.. ehh.. at least I have a good chunk of fuel oil saved up for this upcoming winter. Along with getting new cellphones last weekend for $200 (2 phones with otter box cases), I can't afford to go for the 1070 at it's price range. I'll order a 1060 on launch day if I see it for $249. By the time I get a new 1440p or 4k monitor two years from now, the next generation of graphics cards will be out and an equivalent of 1070 now will be the next $249 card then. And even then I probably won't be upgrading for another 3 or 4 years from now. I need to keep saving up for a down payment on a house.

I could definitely use a new router. This cheap belkin one I have isn't the best but it does still work with 8 or so devices connected. The damn thing is bottlenecking my internet connection tho, I'm only getting 90 mbps instead of 200+. My biggest problem was always the modems I got from my cable provider. All those router issues I had with gaming were all from that damn modem natting the router. I do have to reset my router about once a week tho because my roku stick's connection turns to absolute crap and only streams SD or gives me a connection error. hmm.. the negatives of my router are about on par with the positives. I'm going to pick one up a new router during a black friday sale or some amazon gold box deal.
