wtf. Skip to 4:20 to see the torture.
  3. With the up close play style bf1 will have I bet support won't have a problem getting crazy kills with their machine guns. With the changes to sniping it'll eliminate all the edge of the map players. Every game in bf4 on a large map would always have at least 5 snipers on both teams at the far edges and on average at least another 5 players on each team that would run around the edges of the maps to kill those snipers. Out of 64 players around 20 players at any given point in time will not be playing the objective at all and will either be on the edges of the maps or on the spawn screen waiting for a vehicle. With the changes in bf1 we're going to see alot more infantry. Even with some of these maps being the biggest in battlefield history I bet we'll see alot more action. And the more players PTFO I think the smg and lmg change will be needed or else it could dominate to much by just mowing everyone down. As long as accuracy is still there with a bipod I bet it'll work out good. I loved playing support class with my AWS. It was one of the few lmgs I liked using without a bipod.
  4. All these changes sound amazing to me. Especially the smg and lmg changes. Sure it'll piss off some people who can perfectly adjust their aim to compensate for recoil. I've seen plenty of videos (battlefield and counter strike) where people will take every smg or lmg they have unlocked, aim and fire against walls, learn the recoil pattern and then teach themselves through muscle memory to perfectly adjust their aim to compensate for that recoil and be able to readjust their aim immediately after firing to then not be aiming at the floor or ceiling after a kill. Its one of those things that separates the hardcore player from the casual. With that kind of control on a smg, lmg, assault rifles, etc, they can kill just about anyone from any distance with precision and not need a bipod. While I'm glad people who can get really good at a game can prosper, it really makes the game lopsided in terms of balance when a gun that is designed for medium range, when used in the right hands, can kill at sniping distance at full auto with a 300 mag extended clip. I've seen this in BF3 and BF4 and it negates the role those guns are made for. To make that recoil pattern go into rng spray mode at distance is a great move imo. It'll make the game more challenging and quite a bit more balanced. (I'm sure pro players or MLG people will complain about this) Same with the huge velocity drop for sniper rifle rounds at long range. Once people are aware of it, they'll use the guns how they were meant to be used while still being enjoyable and not exploitable.
  5. Wow, my mouth literally dropped open when reading that. Almost every game should have that feature.
  6. Uncharted 2 was a great game. I regret never playing these games when they first come out. I had no idea Sony had such an amazing series. I haven't enjoyed a game like this in years. Sure, Last of Us and Tomb Raider are amazing games too, but they were much more serious than Uncharted 2. The action and humor was a perfect mix and this series is straight up fun. And so many explosions. :D

Uncharted 2 made Uncharted 1 look like a tech demo. Its still decent enough to play through to get to know the 3 main characters a bit because they're in the rest of the series tho. But Uncharted 2 is significantly better.

Btw there is a cool friends feature on these games. It keeps track of all your friends stats and when you get near certain milestones it'll pop up a notice at the bottom right of the screen to compare your stats to your friends. When you get around to playing them again you'll see how many headshots or stealth kills I've done and that'll give you some encouragement to beat my totals. :P One of my friends played Uncharted 2.. right before the last boss I headshotted some guy and the game did a stat pop up and I saw that my friend had 2 more headshots than me. I killed one more guy with a headshot, then boom, final boss. his headshot count will be higher than me by 1 kill. good for him. damn him. lol.

Yeah, your bro was popping up a lot while I played Uncharted 1. lol

lol. yep, same for me. But then I noticed his name disappeared for the second one, I asked him the other day and he never got around to playing it yet. But he enjoyed it so much that he has beaten it at least twice on the PS3. He said he almost beat it on hard difficulty but couldn't get it done on the last stage. That speaks volumes to me. If he couldn't beat it on hard mode and theres still 2 more difficulties above that, thats insane. The hardest difficulty probably requires you to never get shot once or you die instantly.

  7. I looked up my K/D on BF4 yesterday. I'm at 1.01 Its probably because I got bored and starting doing things like get EOD bot only kills for entire rounds in conquest. And I went through a C4 phase where I'd try and blow up everything. There were alot of jeeps involved with that.
  8. I finished "Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet" on netflix last night. The first episode was some of the best mech anime I've ever seen. I wish the entire series was like the first episode. Then it turned into a 'slice-of-life' anime for about 7 episodes. -_-; After an unnerving loli dance scene in which every guy over 40 was drunk and wooing at 10 year old girls dancing I was done with it (seriously japan? is this what japanese men want? wtf.). But then I looked at the episode descriptions for the final episodes and I stuck with it. The final 3 eps were great and had good action. If you want to see some good mech battles, watch the first and last 3 or 4 eps of this series. All the episodes in between are just filler crap to establish some sense of loyalty between the mech pilot and the group of people on the gargantia. And of course to forge a typical anime relationship of: "i love this guy i just met and even tho we've only known each other for less than 2 weeks, you need to stay with us for life!"

The amusement park ep of Haganai season two was so hilarious. XD I think the harem worked because Kodaka wasn't a mega perv and outside of Rika there was very little sexual frustration. Plus fan service was limited. The show stayed focused on the story and each character's plight.

You gotta remember Sledge the Slice of Life genre is pretty much the "Cute girls doing cute things" genre so high school aged characters will always be present (and generally cute girls as mentioned). I guess that doesn't draw that many people in but it does me and I do understand the frustration of it being focused on this age group (it's why I have a hatred of harem series). My all time favorite series falls into this genre, Aria (I can't recommend this series enough. It's not everyone's cup of tea but the show is amazing (so is the manga), has amazing character development (but it is centered around high school age girls), and the art and music is just amazing. I re-watch this series at least twice a year (by far one of the best purchases I've made anime wise)). Plus you also have to realize that these shows are aimed at high schoolers and the Japanese Otaku hence why we see so many shows featuring protagonists around that age category (for some reason it's a major hit over there, so are idol based anime (which I can't understand why it's important, then again the Japanese have a thing with idol worship). They don't care what us Americans have to say on the subject as anime isn't as big over here as it was back in the Toonami era (original run). Anime fandom has died down over here (though it has been seeing a resurgence in the last 2-3 years but it'll never be as big as it was originally).

Heh, I started reading Berserk like 4 years ago but I haven't made it past volume 9 yet. While its a great read (and I do plan on reading the rest of what I have (up to volume 35)) I doubt he'll ever finish it (much like Five Star Stories, I don't think that manga will ever end (it was on a 10 year or so hiatus and the creator just started picking it up again recently). It's one of the longest running manga's to date time wise (13 volumes so far and it started in 1986)). Then again I don't think Rei Hiroe will ever finish Black Lagoon (it's been stuck at volume 10 for like 2 years (pretty much right after the Roberta's Blood Trail arc, which is so much better in the manga. The anime adaptation of it didn't do Roberta any justice)).

I've got a dislike for HorribleSubs and only really use them if I have no choice (I'm not a fan of Crunchyroll's translations which is what Horrible uses for their releases). I'll probably pick that torrent up but god knows when I'm going to have time to sit down and watch 700 episodes (then again I'll probably only pick up the Marineford Arc. I haven't read or seen it but I've seen so many character tribute videos and music videos about this arc that I want to see it in it's entirety. I really want to see Whitebeard kick some ass (I don't know why but I seriously like this character though I know very little about him)).

That was a great episode XD Honestly Kodaka was a great change from the normal protagonist you usually get in harem shows. Down to earth, slightly pervy, and all around great guy who generally cares for his friends well being (I find it funny that he's pretty much a homemaker). If it wasn't for Rika I don't think the show would really have any sexual frustration or fan service (yea Sena still provides plenty of it but Rika is by far the worst for it). Then again the show wouldn't be the same without her if they took her out. My major draw to the show when I started watching it was the sad premise it had, grouping up people who have no friends or social skills. Not only did it provide some great humor (good god the ideas for how to make friends were hilarious) it provided a look into the anti-social tendencies most children and teenagers face these days.

If you have the Berserk manga, I'd still definitely recommend reading it. But dive in knowing you'll never get an ending and you won't be as disappointed. There are quite a few arcs that see full completion in those volumes so it is a great read. The tower of conviction arc (i think thats what it is) was the best part of the series to me. And I just found out that arc will be in the new anime. That will probably spawn alot of new fans of the series, but will cause even more disappointment when all the new fans learn they'll never get an ending, or even at a minimum finally see Casca become sane again. Many people only think of Berserk from the original anime with a messed up ending. But the band of the hawk arc that was in the anime is nothing compared to the rest of the series. The Berserker armor the show is named after has never even been in the anime or anime movies.

If you want to pick and choose some good One Piece to watch, I highly recommend the marineford arc, then keep watching the eps after because thats when the time skip occurs. The fishman island arc after that was great too because it shows an entire new culture.. and alot of mermaids. :P

  9. I finished this up the other day. It was a fun series but leaned a little to much on the humor side to me. But then again, its been over 20 years since I've watched the original voltron and it probably had the same levity. The animation was good and blended well into the cg parts. The only serious part occurred in the last 2 episodes and it was a good plot twist. And it was from the same producers of Avatar the last airbender and Korra, thats probably why I liked it. The weapons the paladins have are a great addition for fighting outside of the lions and those same weapons have another use shown later in the season. The action scenes were great, but like many series with an extremely limited cast of good guys, you know they're in no real danger and none of them will ever die. Its literally 7 good guys and some mice versus and evil empire that controls the majority of the universe.. not a galaxy like all of star wars takes place in.. no. the entire universe. Which really doesn't make sense to me. They should have just stuck with "lets save the galaxy".. but the entire universe is a pretty big stretch. I would have liked to have seen a more diverse cast of characters and maybe seen the voltron paladins comprised of a few aliens, but instead its 5 guys from one military base on earth. I was pleased to see Voltron doing battle on all these alien worlds too. Its great to see alien life all over the place. Minor spoiler, aside from the first part of episode 1, this series doesn't even take place on earth. I definitely recommend watching it. Great mech battles, space battles and a bunch of alien enemies. Its got some great action mixed in with some good humor.
  10. I read they still haven't decided what game engine they're going to use. I bet this game wont even be done until at least 2018 and all we'll get from now until then is more odd videos like this to cause internet conspiracies to generate hype. PT generated hype. I thought I deleted it but I still have it on my PS4. That was the creepiest damn thing I ever played and it was only walking through the same 5 rooms over and over in a big circle. PT had no plot, no instructions and caused mass confusion until someone beat it and got a title screen for Silent Hills, then it kind of made a bit of sense. This follows along the line of that PT experience. We get all these segments of clues that leads us to the title of the game. But with Silent Hills you have backstory. Heres my theory: The Death Stranding trailer is basically an idea generator. Hideo Kojima has a variety of things he has an interest in making a video game about but cannot decide on what he wants to make yet. So he literally puts every idea he wants to work with into a single trailer as subtle hints or easter eggs and lets the internet do the entire creative process for him. He can then pick and choose some of the more creative ideas, weave them into other theories and then combine it all with his predetermined characters into a plot he wants. Then he'll make a great game out of it. And people on the internet can claim: "I knew it! I guessed it right! Called it! etc." All the while Kojima doesn't have to give anyone credit because 'thats what he decided to do to begin with. Obviously. It was in the trailer.'
  11. Wow Ubisoft downgrades the hell out of everything. The lighting effects especially. The part in that video that zoomed out on The Division's map at E3 looked good, then for retail it zooms out and almost half the map is the dark zone. lol. People were not expecting that.
  12. I agree with that completely. I thought it must have been that specific rifle, but if its because of those rounds, damn. They're the new frag rounds from BF3.
  13. Pretty good deals. I'm wondering if playing Battlefield Hardline's campaign is worth $4.79. Dragon Age Inquisition for $5.99 is an amazing price. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for $4.49 is a great too if you never played it before on another system. http://slickdeals.net/f/8837183-playstation-psn-best-of-e3-sale https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/best-of-e3-sale/cid=STORE-MSF77008-BESTOFE3SALELP Table provided by raven70 Title Platform Price Plus Price Akiba's Trip: Undead &Undressed PS4 $17.99 $14.99 Alien: Isolation PS4 $14.99 $11.99 Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag PS4 $11.99 $8.99 Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Gold Edition PS4 $19.99 $17.49 Assassin's Creed Syndicate PS4 $26.99 $23.99 Assassin's Creed Syndicate Gold Edition PS4 $35.99 $31.49 Assassin's Creed Unity PS4 $17.99 $14.99 Batman: Arkham Knight Premium Edition PS4 $29.99 $24.99 Battlefield 4 PS4 $4.79 Battlefield Hardline Standard Edition PS4 $4.79 Call of Duty: Black Ops III PS4 $44.39 $34.79 Call of Duty: Black Ops III Digital Deluxe Edition PS4 $84.99 $74.99 Child of Light PS4 $7.49 $5.99 Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin PS4 $19.99 $15.99 Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition PS4 $14.99 $11.99 Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - 14. The VR at the end there looks horrible. x_x The game looks great, but the more I watch coverage of it, the more scripted the fight scenes look. Its not all button sequence gameplay scenes in these trailers, but the fights I do see are all melee fights and teleporting around. I don't see any actual strategy to any of the fights to make them challenging. The characters constantly smiling or looking smug gives the impression that there is no actual danger when fighting a monster that should be able to technically kill these small humans in a single bite or claw swipe. Maybe magic makes these humans ridiculously strong? I hope they explain this in the game. Even most of the structures I see in the game shouldn't be able to withstand half the giant monsters they've shown so far from random encounters. If theres really this many giant beasts in the game, most of the cities on the planet should be in an almost constant state of ruin. But its all good.. we have 4 abercrombie and fitch models driving around taking care of everything. They battle giant beasts and get hit with talons the size of polar bears and every one of them has pristine skin without a single scar.. which to me, means they've been this strong since they were children. I just don't get it.
  15. These companies are finally starting to realize people don't want to buy season passes anymore. If they do the same thing with Battlefield 1, it'll mark a new age in gaming. Death to the paid DLC map packs.
  16. That sniper rifle looked more like shotgun gameplay except with great range.
  17. So it will be a Last of us style game. I'm cool with that.
  18. Limbo was great. If you haven't beaten it yet give it one afternoon and start it over from the beginning. I think it only takes about 3 hours to beat. Inside looks much better than limbo, but if it's anything like it, then it'll have no actual plot except for what our imaginations will provide. And it'll end up in a humble bundle. I won't buy this on launch. But I will get it in the first humble bundle I see it in.
  19. I miss playing Legend of Zelda, Mario and Mario kart. Twilight Princess was the best. This new one looks good, but the cell shading has been done before and looks a bit dated to me now. Wind Waker was fun, but nothing compared to TP. I'm starting to think they're sticking with the cell shading because they can't make a game look as good as God of War on their under powered systems. So instead of making a newer Zelda with TP style updated graphics that look would look flawed on a nintendo system when compared to modern PC games, they go for the more artistic approach and cartoon it up.
  20. This trailer was the best promo I've seen for this game yet. That campaign mission looked genuinely fun. I have no interest in the multiplayer for CoD, but that spaceship fight gave me flashbacks of wing commander. I still wont drop $70 for the game, but maybe a year from now I'll try it out, but then again Titanfall 3 or something else will probably outshine it again at that point. I really hope EA learned something from Blizzard and Overwatch's no paid map dlc. Those BF4 dlc really separated the player base and killed off alot of game modes 6 months in imo.
  21. At the 1:08 mark it looks like the character has their own mech too. This looks good.
  22. I have no idea wtf that trailer was about. Action adventure game? maybe. 3rd person shooter? possible. A game where we walk around and initiate crazy cg scenes.. I suppose? The one thing we do know is this wont be a pachinko game.
  23. I got caught up yesterday and watched the new ep last night. This series is very informative and a great watch. I was expecting more commentary in the commentary / acting ratio, like in battles bc, but I'm pleased. I never read much on Hannibal or any of the barbarians that are being covered by this series. I'm learning something new every monday. I didn't know anything about Arminius. Romanizing barbarians to destroy their culture and heritage is pretty much the same thing all religions did later on too. I have a feeling they'll skip any religious coverage in this series and focus on specific key battles only.
  24. Oh man.. I remember the trailers for this for PC. I got into the beta, played 10 mins and uninstalled it because it ran like absolute crap on my laptop. But the game has no campaign. I'd rather get Titanfall 2 for the story than Hawken for multiplayer only.
  25. I like the updated look of it. Has a bit of a Dark Souls / Last of Us feeling. I know Ascension was a prequel, but after GoW 3 I had no interest in playing it. I give props to Sony for actually changing the game engine, it was feeling a bit worn out to me. Theres only so many times we can turn on a GoW game, see Kratos somehow loose all his power, get new swirling blade weapons that were exactly like the previous games and then get god or godlike powers again. The first 2 games were the best. Those blades were awesome weapons. The most memorable moment in the series for me was the Icarus fight in GoW 2.
