lmao! I did the same thing in those fights and the Zeus fight too. I had no idea I actually beat those fights at that time and I just kept obeying the smash button command. After 5 minutes of pounding someone's face into mashed potatoes I figured it would never end and I'd stop to finally get a cut scene. Those moments got me every time.

I only played chain link twice. It really came out too late in the game's life for me. I already played so much BF4 that by the time that game mode came out I was too burned out to enjoy it. That and every map I got on was full of experts at that point. x_x At the 7:55, 15:30 and 27:28 marks on that 44 minute gameplay video it shows the tank views and a plane view. I didn't notice it before but you can easily see where the other cannons in the tank or guns in the plane are aiming. That is such a simple little thing, but paying attention to that will easily tell you if your other vehicle partners are actually taking shots at the same target as you. Oh man, this is going to be fun.

I'm guessing this will be a sequel. With how God of War 3 ended I'm surprised Kratos is even alive. Pretty much every Olympic god is dead so Kratos is probably pulling a Xena and won't be content until all of religion is destroyed. Odin is the god of war in norse mythology. For this game to still have the God of War title, Kratos will most likely kill Odin and become a god of war again. I never played Ascension and God of War 3 was just a gore fest. If this trailer showed Kratos pulling out eyeballs and disembowling every enemy I'd have lost all interest in the game. The fact that he was working with a partner, even if it was a kid, didn't go full gore mode and there was strategic looking gameplay I have hope that this will be good. But so help me god if this game follows the same bullshit of the original trilogy with final boss fights I'll never buy another God of War game again. Every game I play it on normal mode, enjoy the challenge, feel like I did great.. and then the final boss fight starts and it completely changes the entire fighting system for a single fight. After getting screwed over and over again I have to take the crappy prompt to swap down to easy difficulty to beat the game and then feel complete rage for the developers. God of War 3 final boss fight literally turned the game into a 2D fighter.

I agree, I thought the video was labeled wrong. It really felt like a pvp trailer. The campaign walkthrough looks interesting, but the combat system seems a bit off to me. I guess I'm too used to smashing a couple buttons and watching enemies die. The fighting style in For Honor reminds me of an old game I used to play "Die by the Sword". Except in Die by the Sword your weapon or shield literally free floats and follows the exact path of your mouse. So instead of changing stance to left, right or up like in for honor, you literally just attack from left or right or whatever angle you want. The downside to it is that it looks stupid as hell. But in For Honor it looks like their fighting system might have been a bit inspired by DbtS but updated in such a way that it looks much more plausible. The big thing that DbtS's combat did with that free floating sword, was allow you to easily target specific limbs. I'd chop enemies legs off left and right and damn if felt good to lob off an enemy's leg, pick it up and beat them to death with it while they hobbled around trying to kill me. Theres not many good vids of that old game, but I found a speed run of it in decent quality:

Skyrim on PS4 & Xbox One! .... also fallout stuff.
Sledgstone replied to Myk JL's topic in Video Games
Lol, I own FF7 for PS, PS3 and PC. I don't have a problem owning multiples either as long as they only cost a few bucks here and there and I don't want to play it on a particular system again. Do you have an official Xbox 360 wireless controller? That was the best thing I purchased years ago for PC gaming. I read the off brand ones aren't recognized on PC half the time and only wired or "wireless for pc" versions will work on pc. The one I bought has a usb dongle. Plug and play. Windows 7 and 10 recognized it immediately and I never had to install a thing or configure it. Its been a while since I used it, but if I remember right I can hit the xbox button and it'll show my battery life on the monitor with the xbox logo. Steam instant recognizes it too and goes into big picture mode on demand for me. I'm going to buy a steam link at some point so I can hook it up to my 42 inch tv, xbox 360 controller and use my pc like a console in my living room. I'd have already done that, but I need a good graphic card first. *still waiting for a good sale to happen in a couple weeks* Oh crap. Thats pretty damn awesome. I looked it up and it was confirmed on twitter. I think I'll wait to play this until the special edition is released now, thanks for the heads up. -
The gameplay trailers do look good, but I didn't notice any new titans / titan features. Around 3 or so months before titanfall 1 came out they kept releasing more info about the different titans and their capabilities. Aside from some new maps, a grappling hook, a few other weapons(?), a campaign and being released on ps4, I only see about the same amount of changes over the original game multiplayer wise as a typical call of duty release. I'm mostly just interested in the campaign. The multiplayer of the first game only has a few "only in titanfall" moments. Like getting stepped on by a titan. If anything, I think EA is considering Titanfall as the CoD competitor because nothing even comes close to Battlefield.

Nooooooo... ;_; Lol. I'll definitely try to do it. I remember seeing some videos of 2k hits, but I don't think its possible on the ps4 anyway so I'm sure it'll be mostly mid range from now on in BF1. The best I've ever done is just over 1k and the graphics glitch out even at that range. I loved being able to set the range on the sniper rifles in bf4. This was set to 1k so I only had to line up a normal headshot. Took me a while to figure out that was almost exactly 1k from my location tho after getting a couple other kills around that range in the same match. Thats obviously not an option in BF1, so even attempting a 1k-2k hit would require me to aim so high above an enemy's head they'd be basically off screen. That and this shot was done with the longest ranged sniper rifle in the game. BF1 won't have anything like this. It'll be a bit refreshing to not play on the sidelines as much.

Ok, now that I'm seeing correct sniper gameplay (that guy in the live stream was all over the place), I'm pleased with how sniping works. The bullet travel does seem faster and since there are no advanced scopes there shouldn't be any lens flare in this game at all to give away a sniper's position. With the better bullet speed, the bullet drop will be affected quite a bit. From any height and shooting down, it looks like theres no real bullet drop which is the same as in bf3 and bf4. I'd like to see more gameplay of longer range shots to see the full bullet drop, but with how the game was playing I don't think long range sniping will be a thing at all. Aggressive recon ftw. As long as recon gets some decent accessories like a mine / claymore it could easily be my go to class.

Skyrim on PS4 & Xbox One! .... also fallout stuff.
Sledgstone replied to Myk JL's topic in Video Games
I have the legendary edition of Skyrim on Steam, but since my graphics card couldn't handle it with the high resolution textures I haven't played it yet. I doubt I'll get this on ps4 because I already own it on PC. Even with the enhanced graphics on ps4 I don't see how it'll even compare to the PC version. -
Sniping looks like alot of fun, but Jackfrags video makes it look like just about every weapon has the same range and accuracy. It seems almost pointless to take a sniper rifle when every weapon can put someone down at distance with just an extra couple bullets. Whenever I was playing solo, I never talked with anyone with my headset. Instead I used that built in preset messages and it worked out pretty good. It was the spot button I think. If I was in a tank and needed a gunner, I'd look at some guy I was driving by, hit spot on them and I'd hear "hey, get in!" or something like that. Same with a tank driving by me, "I need a ride!" Sometimes people would listen and stop to let me get in. I remember if you clicked and held the button it'd give us prompts for other messages tho. "I need more ammo!" I would spam that message. If they have the same setup, they could easily change some of those preset messages while in specific vehicles. In a tank "Veer left!" "Behind us!", etc. I could see it working out pretty good if they do it right. Of course its not nearly fast enough communication in a fierce battle, but its better than nothing. I don't know how many people I actually drove away from when they jumped out of my tank to repair. I'd hear, "I need a ride". But I'd think.. "dumbass, why'd you even jump out." Then I blow up and see him die in the explosion as he was running behind me trying to repair as I got hit by another rpg. I kept thinking.. if only there was a "I'll repair you" message, this game would be alot better.

They finally made a campaign and they're releasing it for PS4. Everything I'd want in a game, but damn that timing is horrible. I'll be sucked into BF1 and won't have time for this at all. It could easily be a black friday purchase for me tho if it goes on sale.
-
I caught the last half of the second game and the entire 3Rd game in the live stream and I loved it. I'm feeling the hype. No more C4 but those tank grenades were beastly. The weather effects will definitely change the dynamic of the game. I love my sniping but if it'll remove planes from being a dominant aspect of the game then I'm all for it. I noticed there was still some clipping issues impeding jumping over some destroyed terrain but the overall movement of everyone looked really smooth.

At the top left of the editor there is now a "Preview" button. This editor works quite good at showing you exactly what you post, but sometimes there might be a padding issue with a quote or you're typing bbcode manually. Now you can preview the post before submitting it.

I looked at that trailer again and at the bottom of the last frames shows the * saying its just a weapon skin and gally will be an earned item via a quest. But it doesn't mention anything about the gally bounty being an exclusive for pre-ordering. My guess is that everyone will get the bounty and everyone will get it eventually. But watch that bounty have some ridiculous things like "win 20 matches in trials of osiris, win 30 matches in iron banner, complete each strike in heroic mode, and complete each raid once." reward = 1 experimental rocket launcher 'talk to weaponsmith guy that only sells blues and green to learn how to forge this into a weapon' and then theres 3 more parts to finish. It'll make that original thorn bounty look easy.

That would at least make them more plausible opponents. I wonder if characters like Darkseid and Doomsday will get armor too. I'm sure the armor upgrades for everyone will be explained in the story, but I bet the real goal of the armor is to sell new armor skins via DLC.

Ah, that makes more sense. I definitely see the appeal it must have had at the time and why it got so popular. Saints Row 3 was some great fun, but I haven't played the 4th title yet. The freedom in that game was pretty good, but I didn't get wow'd by it. But thats really my own fault. I didn't have a good pc yet and I played it on my laptop at minimum settings. When I got into a helicopter, I'd only get 4 fps. That was some difficult flying.

"Come, join us guardian. In a lifeless world where the only things that exist are you and the enemies that spawn. Ignore these wolves. You'll only see them in a cut scene anyway. Here, have a free gjallarhorn and don't notice any more flaws." No Bungie. No thanks. I already have that weapon and its pointless because its does so little damage to almost every enemy. I'm not paying you money for an upgraded version of the exact same weapon I bought on the last day I played your game. Good luck in the future. Maybe Destiny 2 will be good but I'm not a raid guy and I realized that you're all about raids and no significant in game plot. I'll pass. This is one of those games that if I want to know the story about, I'll watch it on youtube so I can skip 200 hours of gear grinding to watch a total of 2 hours of cutscenes and dialogue.

The plot will be the biggest factor in me buying this game. As it is, its just like Watch Dogs 1 except in a different city. Wasn't that how the GTA games were tho? I never got into GTA but I'm guessing the campaigns on those is what drove the fan base to keep buying basically the same game in different cities over and over again. I agree completely. It was a fun experience, but that last mission upped the difficulty so damn much it felt like the game didn't want me to actually beat it.

I used to play the hell out of street fighter 2 with my friends back in the day. Ever since then I lost pretty much all interest in fighting games like this. Micro second lag issues with online fighting over my wifi would result in me getting slaughtered every time so I won't even attempt it.

I completely forgot to watch it. x_x I looked at my cable guide and its going to re-air on Saturday. I set my dvr for it this time in case I forget again.

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Anime / Animation / Manga / Comics
*revives old topic* I forgot all about this movie until I saw it was on netflix today and watched it. Holy crap. This is easily the best DC animated movie made so far. If anyone has an hour and a half to spare, check this out. You will not regret it. Plot, action, gore, huge cast and its all great. This is somehow rated PG-13, but if it was a live action movie it'd easily get an R rating. This movie even has a higher kill count than Deadpool. -
The gameplay looks very similar to the first game, but some of the new stuff is pretty cool. I love the idea of controlling drones in this, but the best part of Watch Dogs to me was the plot. I'm a bit disappointed this isn't an actual sequel. I loved the car driving in the first game. I'd jump in a car and just drive everywhere for the hell of it. Sure some of those car evasions were a pain in the ass. I remember driving for over 10 minutes like a maniac trying to loose some guys before. Good times.

Yes that is the actual name of this game. This is actually the 9th game chronologically in the series: http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Kingdom_Hearts_%28series%29 Heres the trailer: And here begins my rant: Just like Ash from Pokemon, Sora does not age. It has been 14 years since the first game came out. Kingdom Hearts 3 still hasn't been finished either. I stopped playing this series after Kingdom Hearts 2. A good chunk of KH2 made no sense. I still remember thinking the game would explain characters and events at some point but never did. Thinking I must have missed something I jumped online and found out it actually was Kingdom Hearts 3 and it was a sequel to a game boy game and not a sequel to the playstation 2 game I loved. I'll play Kingdom Hearts again someday if they ever release a full set of every game on one platform in a complete collection. If Square Enix ever releases another game in a series of exclusive title on every single platform, I'll never buy another game series from them again. I'm sure KH is fun and people have followed the series with every title, but buying 7 different gaming systems to keep playing 1 series is ridiculous. SE tried to consolidate the systems needed to play this series by releasing remasters over the years, but even then you'd have had to wait roughly 10 years to play everything on the PS3. I personally don't download games illegally and play them on emulators, but with a game series being initially released on 7 different gaming systems over a decade.. I really wonder how many people have done exactly that over the years. If Square Enix is planning on doing this with Final Fantasy XV, they need to make those plans clear to their customers. end rant.

I know I got the first game for ps4 for free from ps+, but I never got around to even installing it. I was going to play the campaign at some point but I never felt the urge to play it yet. I don't know why everyone is throwing armor on in this sequel, maybe it has to do with the events from the campaign. Although why superman or supergirl would need armor at all doesn't make any sense to me. Everyone else getting some powered exo-skeleton armor makes sense seeing as quite a few of the characters would never survive a single punch from superman, let alone half the other characters.

Congrats to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump for winning your party's nominations. This is going to be one messy election.

I wonder how hard it is to become a Canadian citizen. Not that I have a lot of room to talk since I never vote but I don't see the next 4-8 years going to well for our country.

We could definitely have another Bush v Gore type election filled with controversy. Our voting system is not standardized and there should be record turn out. Hopefully each state is prepared to get everyone's vote.
