I finished Daredevil season 2 on netflix yesterday and I have some mixed feelings about it. Overall I enjoyed it and I'll watch a season 3, but I'd rather watch a dedicated Punisher series instead. Daredevil is that typical superhero that doesn't want to kill anyone and always interrupts everyone else's sense of justice to impose his own choices onto them and thats basically what got me annoyed more than anything with Daredevil. Hes also supposed to be a catholic (which isn't a major plot line at all), and it feels like thats his motivation to impose his sense of morality onto others. eh. But with as dull as Daredevil's character is with whats right and wrong in crime fighting, the Punisher makes up for it. Season 2 was basically an origin story for the Punisher and I hope he gets his own spin off series. He was incredibly brutal. In his endless fights, he gets his face bashed enough times that its hard to tell hes the same guy that played Shane from TWD. But he did such a good job at his character that I'll easily remember him more as Punisher now than Shane. Elektra was also a good character except for some plot twists that seemed very rushed at the end of the season. The downside to season 2 was all the courtroom / lawyer crap. They dedicated about 1/3 of the season to a trial. Sure, Daredevil is a lawyer but I don't want to see his day job, even if it does slightly tie into the the overall plot. They could have cut that trial down to 1 episode and had more action instead of treating it like a main plot with Daredevil doing some random fighting as a side mission in those eps. Boring. Clark Kent is a reporter and Peter Parker is a photographer but I'll be damned if I ever had to sit through 4 episodes worth of Clark Kent reporting on an oil spill or interviewing politicians. Or watching Peter Parker set up that perfect panoramic shot for an art magazine commission. wtf. I'm watching a superhero show to see ass kicking. Just like I wouldn't watch Tony Stark have a board meeting for 1/3 of an Iron Man movie, I don't want to see a court drama in Daredevil. Also, that character Karen Page was incredibly annoying. Shes all happy go lucky, and completely ignorant. Its like the director wanted to jam her into every scene they possibly could regardless of plausibility, just to get her in there to remind you that the things the punisher was doing was actually bad. How she lived thru so many different scenarios makes her unbelievable as a character. She was the equivilant of the "good angel / devil" on the shoulder and all I'll remember her for is crying all the time or looking smug. She'd have been a much better side character with less screen time. x_x Even with its shortcomings, I enjoyed the series. One last thing, there was one scene where the Punisher shoots this guy in the face with a shotgun and holy crap that looked believable. jebus.. made me shocked for a second. The guy's head should have blown out in the back, but still. This season had the most believable gun / bullet physics I've seen in any show. It literally looked like bullets were hitting walls and swiss cheesing people. If someone was getting shot at, you'd see the bullet holes in the walls and not just see some spark where a bullet hit metal. Their special effects ppl did a great job with that.

That dick biting... ouch. Good thing that guy was wearing jeans instead of sweat pants or he'd have been in a world of pain. That doctor getting killed off surprised the hell out of me. I wasn't expecting it at all. With only 3 eps left for the season, I'm wondering if they're going to dedicate 1 just to Carol and Morgan again. It seems like their cast is still too big and they keep making side plots to have smaller groups go off to have dedicated episodes so they can save some cash on all these salaries. Standalone eps like that work pretty good, until they start happening every other episode. Once Upon A Time has the same problem with having too big of a cast. But instead of having dedicated episodes to a smaller group, they cut the budget substantially on the sets instead and the show will never leave Storybrooke. I definitely prefer TWD's choice of having more diverse sets tho. If TWD followed Once upon a time's direction, 90% of every character introduced would still be alive and season 6 would still have everyone at Hershel's farm. x_x

I have a bunch more testing to do, but a big update will be happening... eventually. Our current themes are not going to be used anymore, but I did find a new set of themes (light / black) that we'll be switching to. The new forum software will no longer have a "view full site" option because the layouts are all adaptive to whatever size the window is set for. Its very effective and much better for mobile use. I'll be changing the login and registration to accept facebook and twitter logins and we'll have browser notifications available as well.

I was also wondering, what about friendly fire? as long as you are in the same party you won't hurt each other in the DZ right? And it looked like you were able to throw turrets and grenades thru your teammates? I always hated that in battlefield. I'd lob a grenade only to see my brother run right in front of me at that moment and see it bounce off his head right back at me.

That was an intense fire fight right there. Was there an item that was replenishing your ammo? How did you not run out during all that? And those turrets.. wow.

That episode really shows how good of an actress Melissa McBride is. I feel bad for Carol tho, TWD likes killing off characters with humanitarian views. I have a feeling Carol, Gabrielle or Morgan will die this season just because of that. Maggie might also die just to keep more drama going and to have all the Glenn fans feel horrible for him. Everything keeps working out amazing for Glenn. Every time hes about to die, he survives. Same with Maggie. The get pregnant and the odds are so in their favor they even find a baby doctor and get a sonogram. wtf. It feels like a huge build up of emotion for one of them to get killed off so it feels even more heart wrenching.

The Athelstan cameo in the last ep really got to me. He was a great character. Bjorn fighting that bear seemed just a bit unrealistic, that bear would have mauled the hell out of him.

So much murder. I thought it was great to see Jesus cap someone in the head. I lol'd at the imagery of it.

Especially with the races and classes being tied together, the majority of the player base will probably all be female sorceresses. I'd prefer to play as a berserker, but not as a male giant. ehh.

I don't know much about it except that it's character creation options are insanely detailed and you can make just about anyone you want. I don't think it has a monthly subscription, but you do have to pay at least $30-$50 for the game initially. I'll look into it some more after I eventually get my new video card. It looks visually good, but that doesn't mean much if the game itself has flawed mechanics and horrible translations. Its launch date is tomorrow so I'm sure a bunch of reviews will be popping up over the next couple weeks.

The look on his face was great, like it was an every day thing for him.

One of the best fights I've seen in a while was in this last ep.. While trying to save the queen of Mercia, Aethelwulf fought this unnamed soldier at the base of that tower. That fight was great. It really looked like two people trying to kill each other.

Michonne and Rick. They were sitting on that couch like an old married couple. It didn't surprise me that they finally hooked up. I'm glad they time skipped a couple months. I really didn't want to have flash backs of season 2 with Carl laying in a bed with injuries for 5-6 episodes.

Rotflmao! For some reason I thought it was season 7 already.

I was surprised to see Carl get shot in the face like that. I'm glad he survived but I expected more people to get killed off in the beginning of the season.. like Glen.. who is apparently immortal in this show seeing as he keeps getting into completely impossible to survive scenarios, and still survives somehow. That RPG shot was the most accurate demonstration of an RPG I've seen in any tv show in years. lol. There was no.. "Look out! RPG!".. instead it was an instantaneous surprise explosion. Hell yeah. KABOOM!

Holy crap Rollo.. He screwed Ragnar again. He left himself powerless too. I'm completely surprised the french people didn't kill him immediately after the massacre at the viking camp. I don't see Floki surviving this season. When Largetha cut that guy's dick off, I bet every man watching the show winced in phantom pain.

I bought the mid range bundle when it was $6 yesterday so I could play farcry 3 and maybe luck out on the unknown games. I'm not to thrilled about having to use uplay tho.
