Strider, I highly recommend this game. Even Lady is buying a copy at this price. No monthly fee, you can make a character and play whenever you feel like or only during events and feel no obligation to keep getting your moneys worth. You can play it like my brother does and not pay an extra dime too. He converts his in game gold into gems for purchasing account upgrades that are all conveniences like extra bag storage and bank storage tabs. It does look like the possible expansion will cost money but the game has been out for 2+ years now already so that's not to bad. I've been playing this game for 4 months or so and I have still only seen half the exploreable map. Edit Even with my own gem store purchases I have still spent less on this game than when I bought bf4 + premium. And I have over 250+ hours in gw2.

Yea, it's based off the third arc (Phantom Bullet) of the books as well as two side stories (Caliber and Mother's Rosario).

I bought Witcher 1 & 2 a few steam sales ago but I haven't played them yet. Did the combat system seem off because you were using a controller? Maybe it was made more for a keyboard / mouse combo?

We defeated Triple Trouble! that was one of the most intense boss fights ever. it's hard to imagine that 3 massive groups of ppl had to do epic boss fights all at the same time to defeat that giant wurm simultaneously. that's epic. no wonder it's so rare. thanks for getting in that group DX.

*chants* TTS TTS TTS TTS TTS TTS TTS TTS TTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After joining their teamspeak I'm glad I'm apart of this guild. The Teq chat was a bit immature but comical. The guy the lead Cobalt was amazing. He explained everything. and even with 40 seconds left on the clock before decap he remained calm and guided us to victory. TTS is a great guild to be apart of.

I'm really looking forward to the division and star wars battlefront this year. Those games will definitely pull me away from gw2 for a while. Our at least scale me back for a bit.

I got an amazing drop from karka tonight.. a long bow that I sold for over 140 gold and I have enough gold now.. I put a high bid order on the legendary precursor weapon I want! *feels damn good*

I logged in today... and I got it!
Tooth of Frostfang is now mine. and just in time too, there is another matching bid on the TP for 740 gold and another for 740 and 1 copper. The TP reminds me of "The Price is Right". lmao. btw, there is a free xp booster and transmutation charge in the gem store today.

I still haven't played the new content I already have for this game.. and as it is now I have gw2, shadow of mordor, twd 2, dragon age and countless games on steam to play. I don't think I can grind destiny anymore.. I say that because unless they auto bump our levels to a level high enough to enjoy any new expansions, I won't be spending the time to light level up just to be able to play any future dlc.

If that is real then that comet dlc sounds like something I would want, and of course it will be the first dlc not included in the initial expansion pass.

Its like they took King Graham and mixed him with Dirk the Daring from Dragon's Lair. I would love to play this game and it looks like it will be fun and beautiful. I still have my old King's Quest 5 CD-ROM game. I'm glad this isn't a remake, but an actual new game. I'm still planning on getting the new Gabriel Knight at some point too, but this new King's Quest will probably be more enjoyable for me.

I like the never ending amount of possibilities in this game. I read something a while back that there will be an actual campaign in the game, I wonder when they'll make a trailer for that. I know people love a non-structured game, but aside from exploring, without any dialogue or interaction with other sentient beings, we'll all just be flying around looking at each other with no threat of danger or logic as to what we're doing except for the sake of exploring.

Cosmos: A Space Time Odyssey was damn good. I wouldn't mind ordering a dvd or blu ray set of that. The one thing I did want to buy this holiday season but didn't was the blu-ray sets of Vikings season 1 and 2 but they never went on sale for a good price. Amazon has them for about $30 a set.. but thats no real sale. 9 episodes for $30 seems way to high a price to me.

I generally use Christmas as an excuse to buy something for myself. I'm not big on buying presents for others, even my own family.

How was everyone's holiday? Did you get any good presents in real life and / or in game? The highlight for me with physical gifts is my new Roku HD streaming stick. This thing is pretty cool. With the Time Warner app on it, its like I have an extra cable box without the monthly fee. It gets Time Warner on demand and live channels including all the higher tier ones like History 2, etc. I can't find the local channels tho unfortunately. I might have to keep this crappy little HD converter $1 a month box from Time Warner just for those channels. The Netflix app works great on the Roku too. The only thing that caught me off guard is that I noticed the Roku broadcasts it's own wifi signal.. wtf. Its passworded off but still, it seems odd to have that broadcasting. I haven't tested the phone app part of it yet, but overall the Roku is pretty damn nice. In game.. I got a new Wintersday tree in GW2 and I'm trying to play the stock market / trading post.. I now have 6 mini ho-ho trons in my in game bank and I've already lost 15 gold in my investment because they keep getting cheaper. Hopefullly the prices sky rocket in the summer. Same with these 3 red wintersday gifts I'm saving too.. If not for my investment plans I could be close to 200 gold by now. I might buy that artic outfit too. The more I look at it in the gem store, the more I think it'll look good on my charr with the hood off. lol. I know steam's holiday sale is going on, but it feels like I've already purchased every game I've been wanting over the past couple years already, so I haven't felt the desire to buy anything else from them at this point. I also got Dragon Age Inquisition, Shadows of Mordor and Walking Dead Season 2 all for PS4 during the black friday sales. I thought $20 for Walking Dead 2 was good at the time because I've never seen PSN do any kind of steam sale price matching.. and then I see PSN is running a flash sale.. both Walking Dead games for $6.25 a piece on PS4. I went ahead and bought both digitially. I'll be trading in my physical copy of WD2 to walmart for $13. I'll be out $7 but at least I'll have digital copies of both games now.

My sister in law passed away a couple days before christmas. I took a break from AC, Facebook and just about everything else over the past week except for GW2. That game has been a good time sink and its helped me focus in my free time to keep from thinking too much about things. I'm still playing GW2 strong, but I'm going to start resuming my normal activities now that things are settling down at home.
