Been buzy this last weekend. At least my taxes are done. Yay money. Once I get that I'll pre-order Destiny.

ReBoot gets a Reboot!
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Anime / Animation / Manga / Comics
lmao! I do not remember any kind of PSA like that. But now that I've heard about this, I will make sure I stay away from minefield/volcanos. -
I missed the first 15 mins of this episode that I'll rewatch at 11.. I'm glad to see Carol is fine.. and she saved Judith from that psycho girl. A baby in the zombie apocalypse is the worst thing ever. I thought Tyrese was about to kill her on sight, but then I remembered he doesn't know yet. Maggie and Glenn are both alive which is good. They should have a good plot line that leads them back together. Abraham.. I've heard people mention his name plenty of times. After seeing him, I initially thought.. no way.. they're doing a resident evil crossover. lmao.. j/k. But seriously he looks so much like Barry from Resident Evil 1.

That was so horribly sad and cruel. It was an excellent episode. Now we have to start waiting for episodes.. damn.

I think there is a blooper real for the movie on youtube thats really hilarious if you haven't seen it yet. I'm holding off on looking for it until I see the movie tho.
-
I'm going to buy this for PS4. I was going to get it on steam, but I think it'll run better on PS4. Only a couple more days until its out.
-
We are almost current with this series now. Season 3 with the Neverland / Peter Pan arc so far has turned out to be very good.

It looks like Robocop is constantly shooting a crap ton of robots and other machines instead of actual humans and/or relevant characters.. and because the machines bleed oil instead of blood, the movie is PG-13 instead of R. Ugh.. It makes me wish the people that made the newer Judge Dredd would have made this instead.

I've never seen or heard about these movies until now. I will definitely watch them. I wonder how popular this movie will be seeing as its one of the last movies Paul Walker made before he died.

I f*cking hate snow. I am so sick of shoveling. And even with my good boots that have been great all winter, my toes are starting to kill me on my left foot.

That was a good review. I wont rush out to the theater but I will watch this when it gets on netflix.

Lockheed Martin Reveals Portable Laser Cannon
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Science & Technology
I wonder how long it will be until these laser guns are on all the numerous GPS satellites in orbit.. Then the NSA could tap into those, know where anyone with a smartphone is and then zap them. -
The first Robocop was great.. but man.. Robocop 3 sucked horribly.

I remember that Weird Al video. lol. All I remember of Nirvana when they became popular was their music videos. I didn't realize that 90% of every song is unintelligible mumbling. I really don't understand why they were so popular in hind sight. Pchan.. I listed to Nevermind because it had the hit songs I remember seeing videos for. I think you are right about the music being to harsh too. With a combination of me not understanding any of the songs along with the constant random guitar feedback, the music was more of a headache than enjoyable for me. Except for Lithium.. that was decent. I also listened to their first album Bleach.. I thought it was better. Except one of the songs was incredibly headache inducing. I can't remember which one now.

I'll play this game. The classes of those four characters kind of remind me of FUSE.

My new Cast Iron pan is working amazing. Steaks turned out great on it.
-
That was the first thing I cooked with it.. well, only thing I've cooked on it so far. I seared both sides of some rib steaks and then finished them in the oven. The cast iron transfers the heat so much better than a regular pan.
-
Once it is seasoned, it will be even better. I like my steak medium rare... so searing a ribeye on the pan only does the trick for me.
-
Thats how I'll be eating mine next time. Everything turned out a perfect well done. Now I have a good feeling for how fast it cooks.

I have a feeling that Glenn might die soon. Carl having difficulties with the walkers is kind of surprising to me at this point. He is all set with a gun holster and he is a mostly good shot. But with limited bullets, why doesn't everyone carry a large knife with them like Andrea did? Carl had no other weapons than a gun with a half clip in it. And who has a massive can of pudding like that? lmao.

Lmao! I loved Number Munchers and Oregon Trail when I was a kid. I died of dysentery so many times. Lol.. I remember some takeover attempts. I think I went dictator or something saying something like: "This site is not a democracy!" For anyone reading this and doesn't know where the rpg being mentioned is.. here is a link to the rpg section of the old old archives that includes the signup topic and the massive SICD topic: http://www.ancientclan.org/roleplaying/

I've never heard of it before so I looked it up on wikipedia. It sounds like it has great potential to be something amazing I think.. AMC has been making some great series lately too. If this show was on any other channel I'd expect it to be an adapted show like Smallville or Arrow. But AMC has no problem doing violence. It could be a very dark show. I'll start watching it when it eventually comes out.

I started listening to Nirvana and The Who and I realized I don't actually like Nirvana. I can only understand maybe 5 words in every song. Its like Kurt Cobain had his own language. Considering I listen to anime songs in a language I have no comprehension of.. I still can't seem to get into Nirvana. Their music videos are better than the actual songs. The Who is good so far. Their music has that old classic feel to it and the live recordings are good. I going to listen to the album Tommy to see how that is before I move onto something else.

I can't stand children either. I'm content not having my own biological children. I've gone on in other topics about children in todays times having complete free range to do anything they want while parents have no rights to discipline. Children can even commit crimes and have no legal repercussions except against the parents. To hell with all that. I'm glad the children I helped raised are adults now. I love them and wish them the best of luck. I do think technology has made raising kids more of a pain in the ass. One minute, things are fine, the next there is someone having all the drama in the world happening in their bedroom because of something they read on their phone. wtf. I forgot to mention, I think cell phone / smart phone etiquette applies if friends are hanging out for short periods of time. Like if everyone is going out to meal or a movie, put the phone away unless there is a picture moment. Nobody wants to talk to someone who has their face in a screen. But if people are hanging out for an entire afternoon, help yourself to your messages occasionally while I check my email and text messages. I say that because I've gotten used to checking my own messages due to having kids. Usually when you are enjoying yourself is when someone urgently needs to go to the doctor or has to be picked up from a friends house. I've gotten so used to having a phone set for vibrate while at work, I even feel phantom vibration in my leg now that makes me think I have an incoming call. x_x

*big post* Technology has been good for me. It was a way for me to connect with my father. He introduced me into piecing together entire computers from components. He helped me construct my first 286 and then 386 computers before I even heard about Nintendo. DOS was the OS and then eventually Windows 3.1. and eventually Windows 95 was huge. I've always been a gamer. My parents bought me and my brothers the NES the year it came out. It was amazing. Ever since then me and my 2 bros have been into games. We had PC games before NES, but the NES was completely dedicated to gaming and it was a superior gaming system at the time. Retro and next gen games, we loved it all. I still love a good retro game and I still own a decent collection of my all time favorites, spanning numerous consoles and PC generations. Socially, games were good for me. Every weekend I was at a friend's house or had a friend stay the night. We'd play video games, taking turns on single players or playing co-op games together like Double Dragon, Battletoads, Mario Kart, Street Fighter, etc. Because there was no online game play, we all had to physically hang out to enjoy playing these games together. Years later, I moved to a different state. All my friends were in the old state and I could not afford a cell phone with unlimited long distance. Instead, I lost contact with many people. Along with full time work, 2 computers to share between 2 adults and 2 children, I learned that I missed technology and the newer games. I ended up watching alot more tv. I'd have had a more social life, but when you have an instant family of 4 you don't have time to go hang out after work somewhere. I was ok with that. I wanted a family of my own. I was also pretty broke. Families are expensive. I'd say money is a bigger issue for my social life than technology. We've been poor. Instead of buying more of the things we want, we'd put the money towards better food for the family. Of course we could have bought mcdonalds every day of the week, but that wouldn't have been healthy at all. We did spend the money to have high speed internet. It was an outlet. Instead of spending hundreds of dollars a month at restaurants and movies (family of 4 is expensive to pay for when it is every meal. x_x), we had the internet. Yay for technology. With it I was able to email and send pictures back and forth with my family. Years later.. as technology has progressed I have been able to keep in contact with my family more regularly. Before I got my own cell phone, my family had some cell phones that had free minutes after 9pm. So I'd get phone calls a couple times a week, which was nice. As I caught up with technology, I got a cell phone, unlimited minutes to talk to everyone and also skype. At least twice I year I skype with my family back home so we get to see some face time. One of the things that always annoyed me were people that say, "you don't need money to enjoy time outside of the house." Yeah.. Well, when you don't have many friends in your physical vicinity to go hang out with casually, pretty much everything enjoyable requires cash. I try to enjoy the outdoors when I can, but I have some pretty severe allergies and bad asthma. During the summer if I go out for a walk for 40 minutes, I'm usually a snotty hay fever mess by the end of the day. And winter here sucks. But what I do enjoy is my own free time. I like to read. Sometimes I read novels, other times its articles about random things. I like to educate myself. Years ago, I told myself I should learn something new every day and I've pretty much stuck with it. Sometimes I get interested in a subject and research info about it. I can loose myself for hours learning new things online or in books. If people think I'm antisocial, then thats their opinion. As for myself, I enjoy the time I spend doing the things I do. Thanks to the advancements of technology I can find things that interest me much faster and more efficiently. If not for technology, I'd have probably lived the same life style except I'd own a hell of a lot more books. Socially, I have only a handful of friends that I speak with outside of the internet. After not having a physical social life for so long due to my own choices, I've gotten quite used to it. In fact I enjoy my life the way it is. After years of drama and many people who were bullshit cut from my life, I really enjoy being able to relax and come home to the mrs. and the fur babies. I'm glad for the PS3 and PS4. These game systems have allowed me to be able to play games with my friends and family like I used to back in the day. Except without the physical need to be in the same house. I use video games to keep an active connection with my brothers outside of phone calls too. The biggest problem with current games in a physical social situation is probably online multiplayer. Because the games are designed for all players to be playing from their own homes, many games cannot be played together at all on the same game system or PC. If anything, current games keep people connected to each other by keeping them apart. As for Ancient Clan.. I started this site when I was... 19 I think. I never cared much for school and I've been working jobs since I was 14. I had severe anxiety as a kid, still do. Talking online is easier than being at a physical location. Forums were popular back in the day, so I made this site to hopefully find interesting people that have similar interests to mine and vice versa. A decade later and I still prefer to talk on AC than on social media sites like Facebook. Facebook.. ah facebook. I uninstalled the app off my phone over a year ago. I might use it again once I have a decent phone, but I might not. Half my family don't use it and only a couple of my old friends from Ohio that I talk to even have accounts. I used facebook maybe once or twice a week up until I got a PS4. Because that game system requires me to upload videos I want to save only to facebook, I have found myself using facebook more frequently over the past 4 months. If the console would let me save the videos from the system to a USB drive, I probably wouldn't even upload them to facebook because youtube is more efficient. But I've gotten used to it now. I've read about people having Facebook drama. I've never experienced it and I don't think I ever will. I think its stupid. I block it, don't read it, etc. I don't care who hates who or what somebody posted about somebody else. Maybe I'm out of the loop? Either that or people spend way too much time on the site. In terms of work, I refuse to friend anyone from my work on facebook. I've been asked and I've told numerous people no. Most of these people have nothing in common with me except for work. Why would I want to discuss my life with people that know nothing about me or would be confused by what I am interested in? Screw that. If they are offended that I don't friend them, then let them be offended. Also, anyone that uses facebook or dedicates their time to anything other than their work while on the clock where I'm at gets fired. Occassional texting, a phone call or a cigarette break is fine, but if people are browsing the internet in another window or chatting online, then its a waste of company time and they're gone.

I have been uploading my PS4 videos to youtube for a while now and I wanted to make this guide to explain how it is done. Until the Playstation 4 gets an update that will allow direct video uploading / sharing to youtube, the only option available is to upload your videos to facebook. In this quick guide I explain how to save your uploaded video off of facebook in HD and then how to upload it to youtube. It is very easy. First off, you have to have a facebook account and you have to connect your PS4 account to it. If you don't want to share your videos to your friends and family, then set your PS4 to share only visible to you. Or make a group on facebook, add the friends you want to see your videos to it and then go back to your PS4 facebook settings and select that group to share videos with. Once you do that, then follow this guide for sharing to youtube. 1) You need Firefox and the Video DownloadHelper addon installed. If you already have firefox then install the addon. If you don't like firefox and prefer chrome, then good for you. Install firefox and this addon anyway just for saving your videos. You can get them from these links: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/ As you can see in this picture, the addon will add an icon with menu drop down to the top right of the browser: 2) Play a game on your PS4 and share a video to facebook. Its best if you give the video a name because it makes the video have a noticeable click-able link on facebook. On facebook, go to your timeline and click on the name of the video. This will take you to a page specifically for the video and not a popup lightbox version. You will want to be on the video page itself. If you don't name the video, you'll have to click the "your name shared a video" link instead. 3) Now that you are on the video page, do not play it. Instead click the HD button to initiate playback in HD. 4) Once the video is playing you will notice that the Video DownloadHelper icon is now animated and colorful. This means there is a video loaded that you can save. Click the icon and save the video. 5) For some reason, my screenshot did not grab the drop down menu. It shows the video name as a large garble of numbers and letters because that is how the video is saved on facebook. So rename the video to whatever you want but make sure it keeps the .mp4 extension. Also, if you accidentally started playing your video before hitting the HD button, there will be two .mp4 files listed in the Video DownloadHelper drop down. Because the file names make no sense, simply hover over each one to see the file sizes of the videos. Whichever is the largest is the HD video you want to save. 6) Your PS4 video in HD is now saved. All you have to do now is upload it to youtube. I'm assuming you have a youtube account. Sign in, click the upload link shown in this screenshot. It will bring you to this upload screen. Click the large red upload icon and select the video(s) you want to upload. 7) Now that your video is uploading, give the video a name, description and type in a bunch of tags so people can find your video easier. Choose a screenshot for your image or make your own, save it and you are all set. 8) Your Playstation 4 HD videos are now on youtube.
