When I finally buy a house, I will have a 6 foot long driveway.. just long enough to fit one car. Screw having guests.. they can park on the street. The length of this driveway is insane.

I've done that before.. Shooting the airburst all over the place without getting a kill.. but now I've got the hang of it. I love this gun. Its so much fun to harass people and long distance kill snipers. I got almost 30 kills with it tonight. I'd almost say its overpowered but its drawbacks include low ammo, the very slow resupply rate from ammo packs and the fact that it does basically no damage to all vehicles.. but against infantry, this gun is great at flushing enemies out and getting random kills.

Well I never used it before that match and after the round I checked my stats.. I got 16 hits over the course of the round.. I kept getting constant resupplies too. The only person I killed with it was someone I directly shot. Maybe its good for shooting at helicopters and jeeps. I'll have to try that next because I don't see myself using it compared to something as devastating as C4... Of course once I get EOD Bot unlocked, I'll have that little Wall-E on as one of my gadgets at all time.

Firefox is turning more and more buggy every day. I finally got a kill with the airburst.. on operation locker.. 16 hits.. 1 kill. I must not be using this thing right because even with its reach it just seems so underpowered.

300: Rise of an Empire - Official Trailer 2 [HD] There is a bit too much slow motion effect, but otherwise I'm looking forward to watching this. This post has been promoted to an article

There is a mysterious assignment on Battlefield 4 called "Phantom Prospect" which leads to speculation about a possible Megalodon easter egg on Paracel Storm. I unlocked this assignment tonight, but I haven't seen any Megalodons or dinosaurs yet. Thanks to jackfrags for this video. This post has been promoted to an article

That was a huge war. Did they always say this would be on PS4 and Xbox One? I'm wondering how the PS4 version will look compared to high end PCs.

Thats good. If anything, you have hardware that is working the way it should. If UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is working correctly it should automatically open and close all ports needed for all games and software. But with my setup, I don't know where the problem actually is. I could narrow it down now by resetting everything and doing the steps I mentioned in the first post in reverse order. But with it all working for me right now, I'll leave it all alone. For my problem, it could have been just the cable modem having a failure with UPnP. My entire NAT issue could have been fixed by just setting the modem to bridge mode and then leaving all other settings alone. For all I know, my router's UPnP, NAT, etc. was all working fine but it wasn't communicating to the modem correctly. If I ever get a new modem or router again, I'll start my troubleshooting with the modem first. After all my issues with NAT errors, I'm thinking half of the people out there that change all their router settings are still getting NAT errors just because of their modems. Also, for reference, my old modem was a standard cable modem that was a piece of crap. I could plug my PS3 directly into and still get NAT errors half the time. The current modem I have is a modem/router combo from Time Warner. The wireless router part of it was a piece of shit with horrible signal strength and it would cause websites to load half wrong. So I disabled the wireless router part of it and set my belkin router back up the very day I got that new modem. As I found out yesterday, even with the router disabled, firewall disabled, etc. it was still NATing everything. Only setting it to bridge mode would fix it. The more I think about it, the modem itself might actually be a bum unit. But its all working good now and I have perfect signal strength with 30 down and 5 up and the PS4 is working great over WIFI.

I finally figured out my NAT issues. I'm posting this because so many games are affected by NAT / router issues. The main NAT problem I've been having is PSN's new party chat feature. Because the chat works by having individuals self host the VOIP on their own systems, many people will experience NAT errors because of their routers. This is not a step by step guide, but instead its a list for future reference for anyone that is having NAT issues and the steps I performed to fix them on my network. Search on google how to do these specific steps for your game systems and / or routers / modems. 1) I manually set my PS4 to have a static IP by manually entering the IP# I wanted it to have. The IP# is the same as all the other devices on my network except for the last set of numbers. This I set to 80 to make sure that nothing else on my network would ever try to get that number assigned to it. I also had to set the numbers for my default gateway, DNS, etc. 2) I opened my router settings, I then changed the range of DHCP IP#s to 2-79 to make sure my PS4 IP# would be outside of the DHCP range. Because it is now a static IP#, it's number cannot be in the DHCP range. 3) I then set that specific IP# for the PS4 to be in a DMZ (demilitarized zone). After resetting everything, I realized the problem was not resolved. 4) I set a variety of port forwards / triggers for the IP# of the PS4 that are specific to PSN. This did not resolve the issue either.. I found some more ports for PS3/PS4 and added those as well. Still didn't work. 5) This is the solution.. I realized that I had to login to my modem which had a different IP# from my router. Once I was in the modem admin, I set my router's IP# to be in the modem's DMZ. I then also set the modem to run in "Bridged mode". Once that last part was done, I reset everything. The end result is that on my router admin screen, the WAN number changed from a 192.168.0.2 number to the actual IP# of my internet. The problem was that my system was being double NATed. All the settings I made to the router were all nulled and pointless because the modem itself was blocking all those settings with it's own NAT. Because the modem was now bridged, it basically skips all its NAT and firewall options and now acts as a bridge from my router to the actual internet as opposed to being a wall that granted restricted access. Now when I run the Internet test on my PS4, it still shows up as NAT Type 2, but I no longer get the warning text at the bottom about fragmented packets possibly causing errors. Also, when I make a party chat, I no longer receive a NAT error message. My NAT issues seem to be resolved. I tested it tonight with my brother. We got into a party chat just fine and played some BF4. And then after a while we realized that everyone on our squad could hear us the entire time because we had VOIP turned on in the BF4 settings. We thought party chat would override that but it does not. We had squad mates talking in our ear in the last round. After turning VOIP off in the BF4 settings, it disabled all voice chatting for the game, but PSN's party chat continued to work fine in the game. I'm very glad PSN has a party chat option now. Its much easier to keep talking rather than losing a conversation because of a lost connection to an EA server.

Awesome. btw, me and my bro and one of his friends are planning on playing friday night if you don't have work. We'll all have party chat too.

If thats the case, it'll probably be more similar to Call of Duty's setup. On a side note, I know this game will have NPC soldiers on the maps trying to kill everyone but they never mentioned if those soldiers would have their own titans or if they'll have other vehicles like tanks or something. It doesn't make much sense for there to be only human AI with no mechanized weaponry of their own. This game always makes me think of Gundam. All those AI NPC characters should have crappy Leo mobile suits that can be easily demolished so the titans can feel like full gundam bad asses.
-
That was perfect timing for the show too. I'll skip talking dead again to watch more Vikings.
-
Considering how they are announcing new titan classes, Its got me wondering if the base game will come with all available classes or if additional variations of titans will have to be purchased via DLC.

Ubisoft shows off Snowdrop engine powering The Division
Sledgstone replied to DeathscytheX's topic in Video Games
That snowdrop engine is impressive. The realism and damage affects make even the latest frostbite engine seem lacking. I haven't played any Tom Clancy games, but this will be the first for me.- 7 replies

New season 2 teaser.. I'd have made this an article, but the teaser doesn't reveal anything except Ragnar.

That was a good video. He explained it better than me. What he didn't mention is that when you are going for longer distance shots, you'll notice the trajectory of the bullet is almost unrealistic from the angle you are shooting. I set it for 1000 meters and when you shoot it, unscope and you'll see the bullet is following a path as if you lobbed a basketball in the air even though the gun was pointed parallel to the ground. I really like this system. Accounting for bullet drop with range settings will make this much easier now. Until last night, I was doing it old school shooting an inch over a guys head. Also, on that video I put on facebook.. the one where I shot the driver in the jeep.. at the beginning of that video I was sniping. Instead of using a range finder, I used the flag as my range finder. The flags always show how far away they are. I was 200 meters away, so I set the range at 200 and shot directly at every enemy trying to cap the flag. I was getting consistent hit markers. Its much easier to snipe now. EDIT (fixed)
