Thats good info to know. I wondered why "Last man in squad" would keep popping up. I loved Oman because of the attack helicopters in it.. but it was also a map that was prone to base raping because of jets. But with the sand storm, I wonder if that will ground all the air vehicles. If so, then good. Too many maps were ruined for me because of ace jet pilots owning everyone for the entire round. Try using the SKS with laser sight, hip fire the hell out of people when you see them in the distance. You wont get instant kills with it, but the range bonus should be noticeable and more accurate than ADS. Whenever I used that rifle like that, I'd play aggressive recon on domination maps. I went positive almost every time with sniper rifle ribbons.

Good. I'm glad it worked out for you.. Once I see some games I'll want for PS4, I might buy my PS+ early and do the same thing so I'll have more than just BF4 to play when I get the system.

Thats too funny. I didn't even know you could romance Carth. If I get around to playing this a second time, I'll play as a dark side woman so I can lead Carth on and then crush his heart if I can. -
I think Drive Club was the only partial game for PS+, all the others are all full games. I think more of the games in the future will have DLC for sale which is why the core game will be free.. with hundreds of thousands or millions of people getting a game for free, only a percentage of that has to buy DLC for it to make it worth it for the game developers. Its stupid that Contrast is only free for PS4 when its also available on PS3. During this overlap of game availability from old generation to new generation, we might see this happen again. btw, as far as I know, you should be able to add those PS4 games to your account. The PSN store on PS3 will show you the PS3 and Vita games but not PS4.. but if you go to Sony Entertainment's site you can log into your PSN account there and then add to cart all the PS4 games. As long as you have PS+ you should be able to build up a PS4 collection of games so when you eventually get a PS4 you'll have a large library of titles waiting for you. http://www.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/home/ @DX Thanks for the heads up about Contrast. Some games are too short for the price they cost. I don't expect to get 20 hours out of a game anymore, but if a game is entertaining enough to last 5-6 hours then it might be worth the price of a 2 movie tickets for the same amount of time = money. But with the selection of games out there, $15 could be spent on some damn better games for the price.

Yes! lmao! That was my entire experience with COD. I don't know how BF3 was on xbox 360, but on PS3 everyone was used to not talking to each other. I'd usually see 1 or 2 people with mics on. Hell, I was so used to BF3 not keeping me on the same squad with my friends that I never bothered to even sync a bluetooth headset to the system. I'd just call my brothers on the phone in a three way call and play that way. It worked out better for us, especially if one of us lost connection or got banned. With the PS3 not having a party chat, we'd potentially loose communication far too often so we never even tried using the BF3 voice chat. It wouldn't surprise me if hardly anyone on PS4's BF4 even voice chats.. however it was a different case on COD Black ops 2. Everyone talked on that damn game. Randomly talking about everything except the game. No strategy, just annoying talking, eating sounds, yelling, or music. One time I thought I heard a urine stream and a toilet flush.. but no hand washing sounds.. ewww.. wtf.

I've gotten lazy about making new articles. I've spent a lot of my internet time lately researching my insurance plans at work and looking up different boot and sock combos. No more sore toes for me this winter! I research the most random things sometimes.

You probably do have a damaged muscle. And whats bullshit is if you go to the doctor they'll tell you to just take some pain pills and that you're getting older. wtf. Because I type all day, my hands started getting claw like.. After getting shooting pain in my wrists I realized I have to do specific wrist and finger stretching at least once a day to try and prevent arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome.
-
I'll probably just deal with it, because the other option isnt any better. I had a older co-worker that had shoulder surgery to fix damage, and your arm is bound to your side in a sling for a long long time, and then you have to do all this rehab... nah I'm good. lol
-
Just be careful with it. My older brother had a bicycle accident as a kid that broke a bone in his shoulder area. It never set correctly and all these years later he has the damnest time lifting that arm fully over his head.

The parachutes on BF3 were annoying to control. Push forward to drop faster but take damage when landing.. or pull back to slow your descent and get shot out of the sky. Go to slow and a jet can get a road kill on you or a tank could hit you easily with a canister shell. But whats really funny is that a mobile AA could shot down a helicopter no problem, but killing a guy in a parachute was almost impossible. I swear the mobile AA's bullets were like rubber rounds when shooting infantry. Uh oh.. COD players and turtle beach head phones.. I bet you can hear every complaint and insult so much clearer now.

Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Video Games
Carth was so damn annoying. But all his constant nagging and trust issues all turned out to be true. He knew something was not right about my character.. Even without the force, he was smart enough to realize and keep pushing the issue.. but in the end that was basically all he was.. one giant accusation. I dreaded talking to him half the time because he'd always start an argument. I'm on Korriban now and I'm half tempted to not have him in my party to meet his son.. but then again, his son is apparently working for the sith now. I think I'll bring him to the academy just so I can see his son break his heart by revealing hes a sith or something. Its probably bad of me, but I kind of want to see Carth suffer a little more. Check out this screenshot... Once they started attacking me on the bridge, I ran straight up to the admiral and force waved everyone. -
The governor's two guys up and left him that very night after the woodbury massacre. They should have shot him in his sleep. Now that they found him again, I'm going to guess that the governor will go back to his sadistic ways and start killing people again. I think they're trying to kill walkers in new ways so it doesn't get repetitive. Air tank, throat ripped out, pull the top of the skull off. That air tank bashing was great.

Good. They hinted as much, her battle meditation is too powerful to just kill her off. They'll try to convert her. I was thinking my guy might have been Revan after talking to the computer at the Kashyyyk star map. It only turned on for me because I fit the parameters. After I failed the questions it asked, I destroyed some attack droids and it basically acknowledged me as the authorized user.. the last authorized user was Revan. So it was pretty suspicious. I almost yelled at Bastila for lying this entire time.. but considering me and her had a thing resulting in her kissing my guy.. I was all nice. btw, after I talked to HK-47, I discovered Revan was the source of the constant meatbag phrase... it was all to annoy Malak. lmfao! -
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (spoilers)
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Video Games
I failed the Sunry trial. I knew he was a murderer, but didn't tell him.. and because I ran out of computer spikes I didn't get the information from the Sith computer regarding their actions in the incident. I could have gone back but I didn't feel like I needed to. However, I did get arrested for mass murdering all the sith in their enclave. I got off free in the trial because I had a datapad showing how they were recruiting young selkath into the dark side. Anyway, after that I did the Sunry trial and must have chosen the wrong things because they found him guilty and sentenced him to 20 years in jail. I saved it before doing it, and showed the judges the recording of his murder. It skipped the trial altogether and they sentenced him to death. So I reloaded it and let him have the 20 years in jail outcome instead. Oh.. then I found out the republic had a mining operation on the ocean floor. After going down there I decided to explode the mining machine instead of potentially poisoning the planet. I guess that was a good choice considering I went to trial again and that giant beast was like an ancient ancestor / god to them. Whats really funny is that after that all went down, I looked on youtube and I found a video of someone who poisoned the planet, went to trial, threatened to kill everyone, the judges threatened to kill him and he ended up not getting banned from the planet even though he went full dark side. Holy crap this game has so many outcomes. That was when I saw that you could have been banned from the planet. Then I went to Dantooine to see if I'd get a new side mission for anyone and boom.. I got caught by the sith in that giant ship. After killing most of everyone on there, I discovered that I am Revan. wtf. and Bastila sacrificed herself to keep Malak at bay while we escaped. wtf. I lost Bastila! Now I'm on Korriban.. damn, I miss Bastila. -
I saw the trailer for it on steam a while back and it looks like fun. Its good to see the PS+ membership is still giving out decent games. The PS+ free games is a great deal. I read this article earlier in the year and could barely believe it: http://www.gamerevolution.com/news/year-one-of-playstation-plus-value-in-free-games-185486-20143

It definitely sounds like assault rifles are beastly in this game. DICE needs to focus on getting the game working and then fixing the gun balance. When you get the MAV or EOD Bot unlocked try to see if you can put C4 of Claymores on them. Before DICE patched it on BF3, you could put C4 on a MAV, have a teammate fly the MAV right on top of a tank, have the other person use C4, kill everyone in the explosion and then fly the MAV away because it was immune to friendly fire. And on EOD Bot, someone could put claymores on them, then the EOD Bot guy could just ram into enemies and get a claymore kill.

I ordered the second Berserk movie on blu ray. I hope its better than the first one.
-
I still have to get around to watching them, have all three downloaded just been to lazy and too busy to watch them. Is the first one bad? Haven't really read anything about it.
-
It was good, but too fast paced.. and the CG seemed a bit off compared to the rest of the animation. It definitely felt like the first part of a story as opposed to being a good standalone movie. I still haven't seen the second or third one yet but I heard its best to watch them all at once in a marathon.

I received this email today: After logging into vbulletin's site, I changed my password and checked out the client forums. vBulletin's software was compromised, again. Earlier this year, PCGamers forum was hacked and then earlier in July, Ubuntu forums was hacked. And just the other day vbulletin.com, vbulletin.org and MacRumors were all hacked. All of the sites were running vbulletin software. References: http://blog.canonical.com/2013/07/30/ubuntu-forums-are-back-up-and-a-post-mortem/ http://www.macrumors.com/2013/11/12/macrumors-forums-security-leak/ https://www.facebook.com/inj3ct0rs/posts/611793255548704 http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum/vbulletin-announcements/vbulletin-announcements_aa/4007195-important-message-regarding-your-account http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=304626 I'm glad we stopped using this software when we did. vbulletin.org runs vb 3 which is what we were running in the end before switching to Invision Power Board. If vb3 is now vulnerable, then all the numerous sites still using it are at risk. Anyone that has used the same password on all sites, should not use any password they have previously used on any vBulletin site. The Ubuntu and MacRumors sites were hacked because a moderator account was broken into. The vBulletin.com and vBulletin.org sites have not stated how they were hacked into, nor do they have a fix for this exploit because it is "being looked into."

Damn.. that kind of sucks for me playing in a tank. In the beta it felt like being in a tank was a death trap. How are the vehicle upgrades? Maybe the tanks are weaker because there are armor upgrades? Have you tried sniping yet? Hows the bullet drop over longer distances?

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (spoilers)
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Video Games
The dark side options for the Sandral vs. Matale fued sounded horrible. lol. Tell them to kill each other, etc. So evil. I saw that I could hack the republic computer and figured why not, I have some computer spikes. One of the first pieces of evidence I found was the data recording of him murdering her. lol. Right off the bat I know hes a murderer. The one thing that surprised me is that I could open a submarine hatch for 100 spikes. Thats insane. I'm guessing I have to follow a plot line to get to the underwater surface of the planet to get the star map, because 100 spikes is a crapload of credits, even if I get Mission or my droid guy to make them for me, it would take quite a while. btw, is it because I'm playing as a guardian, that my defense is complete crap when I use jedi robes? Bastila, Jolee and Juhani all have good defense in the 20s with jedi robes, but when I put them on my defense drops to 16-18 or so. Horrible defense for me, even if I use a jedi defense power. Maybe I'm not upgrading my skills correctly. I have force lightning and speed burst, but they are restricted by armor. I keep my Calo Nord armor on for defense, but I'm missing out on some good force kills. -

I'm glad the triggers are good. Ever since I got an Xbox 360 controller for PC, the PS3 triggers seem like huge clunky buttons with no strategic value. I agree about melee. I did not like the circle button melee for BF4. I need crouch / prone to be R3 and I wished I could map the buttons completely on BF4 beta, but I couldn't. I think I read in a battlelog post from the developers that the TTK (time to kill for people who don't know.) was changed from BF3 slightly. The the biggest increase in kill time is actually cause by how suppression is factored in. Because in BF3, everyone was suppressed by basically everything, the hit calculations would cause the TTK to take longer. The more bullets firing at you, the less hit markers or damage you would do. But in BF4, you only get suppressed by the support class's machine guns if I'm remembering correctly. Because of the faster rate of fire of assault rifles, they'll drop people really quick now. I'm sure DICE will nerf some of this in a future patch, especially if everyone keeps playing assault. What really annoys me is that even with the increased kill time, sniper rifles will still only one shot kill if its a head shot. With the ridiculous range I was getting with numerous guns on the beta, this seems to put the sniper rifle at a disadvantage considering the reload of bolt action rifles. There was a couple times in the beta where I heard the tell tale sound of a sniper rifle, looked up at a building and killed the sniper with my assault rifle. wtf.. that would not have been possible on BF3.

I'm more interested in playing this than BF4 at this point. Mostly for the co-operative gameplay, but also because it is completely new. Destiny has me hyped, I just hope they don't let me down.

I'll buy this. Its a shame the DLC isn't a completely new story considering we already know the outcome of these two. Although it will be interesting to see how Ellie survived. This DLC could be a pain for me.. when playing as Ellie in the original campaign, it was one of the hardest parts of the game. Without the ability to shiv a clicker, you had to watch yourself. At least she has an unlimited melee dagger, but still.. playing as Ellie added some difficulty.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (spoilers)
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Video Games
If I had my guy set for blaster mastery I'd do it and leave Bastila and Big Z to destroy everyone else with melee. This game is a lot of fun.. it is so huge too. I love it, but I don't know when I'll do another play thru to test out the dark side play through. So.. I'm about to do the trial of Sunry.. I hacked the republic computer and found out he murdered that sith woman in cold blood. I told him and he pressured me into defending him because the Republic could be screwed out of the healing stuff from Manaan.. I know I should turn him in, but I don't want the republic to be screwed, so I said I'd defend him. Then I got dark side points. So I reloaded it and didn't mention it to him. lol. I think I'll hold onto the info, get him free for the better of the republic and if I get dark points again, then so be it. In the mean time, I'm invading the Sith enclave with the pass card.. the woman inside immediately knew something was wrong and called the guards.. Now I'm slaughtering the sith. The planet is great. lol. After I'm done with these guys I'll see about winning some swoop races and killing the other bounty here and then move on to Korriban. -
Good theories. It'll be interesting to see how they tie the old and new together and explain whats happened over the years considering Bruce Campbell's age compared to when he did Army of Darkness. My guess is that hes been retired for a while and the book reawakens the warrior within him. I'm hoping he reprises his role well. I'd rather see this be a movie about his character Ash, as opposed to a standard pass the torch to the next generation movie. *coughIndianaJonesandthecrystalskullscough* No Shia LaBeouf.. you are not Indiana Jones III, I will not watch another Indiana Jones movie with you in it.
