Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (spoilers)
Sledgstone replied to Sledgstone's topic in Video Games
After my experience of getting my ass killed repeatedly by Sand people, I've decided that duel weapon mastery is the best upgrade in the game. Canderous' original weapon maxed out with upgrades is nothing compared to what I have him set with now. Check out my attack / defense stats for my best characters right now: Canderous Ordo blaster: What I have him set up with now: But thats nothing compared to Carth or Zalabaar: And none of them have anything on the damage Bastila and my character can do: Me, Bastila and Big Z destroy everything in a couple hits. -
I'll probably pass on it. But I will definitely play Batman Arkham City now. Its a shame that Bane is never portrayed like in the comics.

That what easy. SSD is great, but if the PS4 doesn't support external hard drives I'd rather have the storage space than the speed for the same price.

Here is a video of Samsung's flexible screen tech from 2 years ago. Samsung, Sony and LG will all have flexible screens soon. This video was made before LG's flexible battery tech. Because there were no flexible batteries, there had to be a solid piece of the phone. Now the entire thing can be potentially flexible. With how thin the screens can be, it might only be a matter of time before we have tablets that are the size of a standard 12 inch ruler that have screens that can be pulled / rolled out into full size. Source: Dailymail The next interesting part is gesture control. All hands free control using ultrasound. Combine these two techs and we'll have the next gen cell phones, tablets, laptops, TVs of the future. Source: Bitrebels The flexible screen tech got me thinking.. they could make clothing out of those screens. Imagine a camouflage suit made out of this display technology. With the proper use of numerous mini cameras the screens could display your surroundings all over the suit and blend you completely into any location. Also, with screens that thin.. once they make them bigger and higher resolution, future TVs could be sold rolled up. Apply some double sided tape to your wall, unroll the tv and stick the screen in place. And with gesture control, we wouldn't need a camera built into the TV for smart app features.

I think the $6 minimum is only for the weekly bundles. Its surprising to see a DLC in the bundle without the game. I hope they don't try making a DLC bundle. Imagine that.. Get all these amazing DLC for 7 different games.. but the games are all sold separately in our store for $49.99 a piece. wtf. I finally got around to connecting my steam account to humble bundle. It does look like we have the option to add only the games we want to our library. But I already have so many unplayed or even unwanted games in my library at this point, I might as well add all of them... except for that DLC.. I have a feeling it won't add the DLC if I don't have the game already.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (spoilers)

Thats a good feature for ME3. After I realized I could save whenever I want, my old gaming habits from playing Sierra games (Kings Quest, etc.) re-emerged. I equipped something different on somebody. Save. I see a group of people ahead of me that could potentially be a scene. Save. I just won a swoop race. Save. I have over 100 saves already. -
4 more games added! Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, Guardians of Middle-Earth with "Smaug's Treasure" DLC, F.E.A.R., The Lord of the Rings Online Steely Dawn Starter Pack, Gotham City Impostors Professional Kit and the Millennium Skins Pack for Batman: Arkham Origins. omg.. I haven't played Mortal Kombat in forever. Now I can.

They better not do the cliche blame game. In one of the earlier eps this season I believe one of them said they couldn't go back to Woodbury even if they wanted to because it was over run. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong tho. But if not, then maybe the Governor went back to Woodbury to burn it down, kill a crap load of walkers and make sure nobody could ever use his old base again. I'm really surprised that nobody has picked up on Michonne's technique of having toothless, armless walkers as a deterrent. I was almost expecting the prison group to have 10-20 chained down walkers around the perimeter at the beginning of this season.

I've been too busy lately.. and it snowed here. I hate the snow. x_x and a reaper drone crashed in one of the lakes north of me. Training excersize.. hmm.. at least is crashed in a lake. $5 million in a lake. x_x

I hope they get the next movie made. Evil Dead (3?) was almost too gory for me. I loved the cheesyness of Army of Darkness. I hope they do a combo of the two. Another Deadite army but maybe a bit more serious action while still having a good cutting edge humor to it.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (spoilers)

Cool. I should see it soon. I know when I got to Kashyyyk and saw the slavers, I felt like going full dark side and killing everyone. Luckily for me some of them screwed themselves and I was able to still kill them without getting dark side points. btw, does being light side, grey, or dark side at the end affect the ending? I've only seen a few items that are light side user only.. other than that I don't see any major difference in the plot aside from some character interaction depending on the choices I make. I've force persuaded a couple people and Bastila will scold me for it, but hey, its getting the job done. It makes me think of Star Wars episode 1.. Qui Gon Jinn tried to use the force on Watto to get the parts they needed for their ship.. but Watto is immune to the force and said republic credits were no good. They could have cut out half the movie and the entire pod race portion if Qui Gon would have just walked about 20 steps to the right, force pursuaded the next merchant to exchange his republic credits for the tatooine ones, then bought the parts and Anakin from Watto. Just like that, half the movie would be skipped and Qui Gon would have only taken a few dark side points. -
VG247 is starting to be my goto place for video game news. They seem to have more info and faster article posting than Kotaku.

io0 and gizmodo are great.. but kotaku has been having more articles lately that don't seem that interesting. Maybe its their writing staff. polygon has been pretty good lately too. I've browsed giantbomb a few times, because it comes up in so many search results, but the site doesn't seem as impressive as kotaku.

IGN used to be the shit. lol. They're really dropped the ball on their game coverage compared to other sites. Its probably because they've been bought and sold a couple times and the higher ups lays off the staff to get better profits for shareholders. Earlier this year IGN went mostly to news delivered via their own embedded video and I stopped caring for it altogether.
-
I used IGN for the PS4 event and E3 this year because they had a better camera angel than GameTrailers and they didn't keep cutting out from direct feed to the stage.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (spoilers)

I think I'll try the datacard first and then slaughter all the sith I can. I've been playing light side so much that credits are a pain to come by. I'd like to buy some more elaborate gear but damn some things are expensive. That Yavin guy buys stuff at great prices. I might just sell off a bunch of stuff, but I'll do all these assassin missions to see what kind of money they pay out. Even if they are dark side points, I doubt it would even knock me down to gray status at this point. If anything, I almost wish I could see off that first droid I got. He beeps like R2D2, but aside from his usefulness on Taris, hes completely pointless now. Hell.. now that I have 3 leveled up Jedi, putting anyone else on the team seems almost pointless now. -
After this episode, there is what.. 8 or so people left in the prison? If just about everyone in the sick ward died and Rick has nobody else able to help him secure the fence except Carl.. then along with Daryl's group, they basically killed off all the Woodbury people. It also looks like that little girl doesn't have it in her to kill a walker so I guess it was Carol that killed those two. Now the question is who was leaving the rats at the fence. I'm guessing it was that newer guy thats in Daryl's group. Hes probably working with the Governor. But then again, why would he? Hes almost died a couple of times. Unless the governor had his family hostage or some crap I don't see why anyone would risk invading a disease infested prison or just leave when they had the chance. Maybe the governor was throwing injured rats over the fence. And speaking of that.. In the end the Governor shows up. Finally.. I was wondering what happened to him. Turns out hes been living in a tent. wtf.

I'm on Manaan now and I have to bust into a Sith enclave so I can find info about Sunry's murder charges as well as finding out what the Sith are doing with the young fish people and I also have getting some droid data for the guy in the republic enclave.. but I don't know the best way to get in there.. I was given 3 options, interrogate this guy, break the code on a datacard or attack the sith through a docking bay. I was about to try the data card but didn't get the chance to try it because The Walking Dead came on. Any recommendations? Oh.. and I found this guy with an assassins guild, since I killed Calo Nord he wants me to be an assassin. It sounds like I'll be killing only evil people and get big credits for it. Should I do it? -
I haven't played a Street Fighter game in years. I remember my thumb would always be sore from doing so many dragon punches.

How odd.. there are 152 people browsing AC right now.. I wonder where they are all coming from.

Oh.. then I must not have seen season 2 yet. I'll check for the OVA. Thanks for the info about that.

I watched this tonight! I loved this movie! My favorite part was when Fix-It Felix kept fixing his face. lmao! It was a really good movie. The cameos of other characters was a nice touch, Bowser coughing up fire instead of spitting water got me laughing.

I watched up until the 2:10 mark. Thank you for the warning. From what I did hear in the first couple minutes reaffirms what I heard about the movie being as much of a sequel to Avengers as well as a sequel to the first Thor. I'm looking forward to watching this. I also read that this season of Shield will have an episode in a couple weeks that takes place after the events of the second Thor movie. I just hope it doesn't have spoilers in it if I haven't seen this movie by then.

What these people need to do is not speculate about whether the person knew it was a crime or not. Instead they should focus on the fact that regardless of someone being ignorant of their crime, it is still a crime and it requires punishment. I think back to an episode of Simpsons where Homer is in a hurry and drives through an intersection while covering his eyes: He knows its illegal but pleads ignorance. If it was real life he'd be thrown in jail and face legal charges. Theres another quote I remember him saying when he was talking to Marge about doing something.. when she doesn't reply to him either because she was angry or asleep, his response was: "As always, silence means yes." No Homer.. no it does not. It might funny in the cartoon in the context it was given in, but in terms of reality, its a very bad example.

We watched this a handful of years ago.. I'm surprised I never dug up this topic myself back then. It was a good series. I can't remember if I watched Season 2 or not. I'll have to look at netflix to check the last episode to remember how it ended.

http://www.mpaa.org/ratings/what-each-rating-means As long as the movie isn't "Extreme Violence" then just about any action movie with murder and killing can be a PG-13 movie now. Hell.. look at Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead.. those are on basic cable and both of these series would have been completely unacceptable on TV when I was a kid. If they were movies, they'd have been R rated and probably petitioned against for their excessive gore back in the day. As far as I'm concerned R rated movies now a days either include sexually related nudity or excessive gore like Evil Dead and Saw. Kids watch The Walking Dead.. I've seen twitter pictures of kid's drawings of Daryl killing walkers. If children watch Walking Dead and then make crayola drawings of it, then the rating scales of tv shows and movies are all completely off anyway.
