    I think these kind of attacks could become more common. Everyone watches the news. And pretty much everyone that ends up going on a killing spree with guns ends up dead or imprisoned. If some crazy person has some sense of self preservation, they'll attack remotely. Simple bomb construction could be the next weapon of choice. With all the focus on guns and gun rights, bombs can be a hell of a lot more deadly and psychologically damaging.

    There is a mayor and 2 ruling families. I hope they do something interesting with it because its been done plenty of times before. And their kids hooking up is too Romeo and Juliet like for my tastes. I do like the weapons in this, like the energy knives. I wonder what that shield would have done against that army. They said, "without that shield Defiance won't stand a chance" but at the same time, those guys were climbing walls easily. Aside from the shield forcing them to climb up the mountainous terrain, they could have taken out the town in shear numbers. Maybe the shield could have been used offensively some how. Nolan and Irisa definitely make this into a show. They could have probably made the show just about them traveling to different locations instead of settling down in Defiance. btw, did you notice how they canceled Eureka, which is about a sheriff in a town filled with scientist and technology and shortly after made Defiance, which if Nolan accepts the lawkeeper job, will be about a sheriff in a town filled with aliens and technology? Seems like an odd coincidence.

    Anyone catch the premiere episode? I thought it was pretty good. Syfy has been promoting the hell out of the show and it looks like they did a good job with it. The acting is good, the musical score was great, the landscapes where very eye catching.. However a couple parts seemed a little predictable, the cg was good, but it was a bit off with a couple vehicles and I wish the battle at the end lasted a bit longer. I was surprised to see an army like that coming to destroy the city. But I'm glad it has some action. After playing the game for a while, I was starting to wonder where all the danger was in series. Seeing as no army came to help them, it looks like Defiance is a completely stand alone town with no allies or affiliation with any larger nation. i think this show has quite a bit of potential.

    I like Floki. He is creepy and crazy. lol. I definitely like him better than Ragnar's brother. I like how the show time skipped again. 9 months later, they now have multiple boats that can sail west and they sped right through the pregnancy. This episode was great just because of the amount of action in it. The one thing I want to see more of are women vikings. There were a few at the beach battle, and while they held their own, they were minor characters. It sucks about Lagertha's miscarriage.. I'm hoping she'll get back into the fighting though. Shes a strong female lead and I'd rather see her bash more people to death than rule them from a throne.

    I've heard the name of this game mentioned in numerous places online, but I've never actually checked it out. I'll have to check if my laptop can play it decently. If so, I might try this out. I have so many games to play still.

    That kills me though.. she said she couldn't forgive a liar, but ended up hooking up with that guy in the end. After that, I assumed Shawn would have been more inclined to come clean to her sooner rather than later.. especially considering they've been together for about a year at this point and he even contemplated proposing to her. I have a feeling their relationship is over.. at least for now. And theres a good chance Lassiter might shoot Shawn for hurting Juliet's feelings.. hell, he hooked himself up to a lie detector just to emphasize that fact. I love this show. lol. The action and drama is just secondary to me. I love the humor in it. Gus: "I'm so hungry, I'm seeing floating protozoa." lmfao.

    Most of Syfy's reality shows never seem to get canceled. I used to watch the Ghost Hunters series, but I lost interest in them after the first 5 seasons because of the constant sound effects and no cameras being positioned in the direction they were looking. That still aggravates me. Same with Scare Tactics. It was ok for the first couple seasons and then it just seemed to be the same thing over and over.. When I read about Ringworld, I thought about Halo too. It makes me wonder if there will be any similarities. But unless Halo was inspired by an old 1970s scifi novel, it might be very different. *shrug*

    Syfy is finally making more Science Fiction series. They announced multiple new projects to a group of advertisers yesterday at their annual Upfront event. Aside from the highly anticipated Defiance series which will be premiering next Monday, Syfy has been less known for Sci-Fi and has become more focused on wrestling and reality shows. While it does not appear that will be changing, at least they'll be re-embracing the genre that started their network. Here is a list of the new shows with some brief descriptions:. I have a feeling that once they get these laser weapons more powerful and start deploying them onto nuclear powered aircraft carriers, those carriers would completely own the air. Imagine a nuclear powered laser. I imagine it instant destroying ships or airplanes with precision blasts.

    A portable air conditioner could work for you. It stays inside the house, but you still need to run it's heat exhaust to an outside window. If a window unit falls out a window and causes damage or injury, the building owner would be liable for damages too.

    LMAO. That sounds hilarious. I feel bad for that kid tho.. you probably terrorized him. Those bugs definitely are stupid. They don't even care where they land, sidewalks, on small twigs. Anything they can get a light grip on. I was in school in Ohio last time they were out. Some class mate of mine always brought them in from the playground to watch them hatch out of their skins right in his desk. The teacher got suspicious when she heard chirping. They opened up the top drawer and found hundreds of skin husks. That guy was hording the husks like a small bug army.

    Anyone else watching the current season of Psych? I loved the bigfoot episode that was filmed Blair Witch Style. That was probably the funniest episode they have ever made. The Clue style ep was also great.. but the episode that just aired tonight with Lassiter's wedding..
