Dailymotion and Escapist videos will now auto-embed in posts. I reduced the slider images on the homepage down to 6 and removed the recent images block on articles to speed up loading issues. -
lmao. As it is right now I think Daryl is un-killable because of his fan base. I'm surprised more of these actors aren't taking to twitter to rally some fans behind them to improve their odds in the show.

I have a feeling that Daryl hat a bit of bent up frustration with his brother.. maybe even some deep down anger at him for all the shit hes done.. *stab, stab, stab* Poor Daryl. I'm thinking the prison will be done for after the season finale. I don't see how they will be able to stay there after another assault. Whoever is left will have to move on. I have a feeling that Andrea is going to be killed off in the first couple minutes of the episode...

Medal of Honor Warfighter had quite a few guns with multiple scopes and iron sights. It was a nice change compared to BF3 and CoD Black ops 2. I was able to switch between an ACOG, to a RDS, and rotate the gun over to iron sights. Of course I can't find a video of it at all tho. It was great for taking on enemies at all ranges.

Damn! I'm so left behind by not having a gaming PC. I've seen plenty of videos of BF3 on PC.. it does look amazing, but I guess I'd need to experience it instead of seeing a youtube video to fully realize the amazing quality. btw, I logged into the battlefield site using google chrome and I finally got to see the new dog tag I unlocked. Apparently their site does not like Firefox. The other day I just figured they didn't have enough people logging in to actually show me something.. Nope, it was just a firefox incompatibility issue. I'll be sure to use chrome to look at their site tomorrow.

Oops. I forgot about that. So its only 30, then I wonder how many ppl they will leave to defend Woodbury while the rest attack the prison.. Woodbury would be almost completely defenseless and I have a feeling they might try to go get Andrea.

Large images the new standard for websites? (Gawker sites)

So true about flash. I remember entire websites being designed in just flash. All the special effects, etc. would look nice but it would lag on lower powered computers and navigation was usually a b*tch because you could never open a link in a new tab. As for me, I've been out of web design for so long I don't even know how to code in latest standards. I would really need to teach myself completely new coding to get myself up to par with the newest browser standards. The only thing I can do now is use software like IPB and customize it to my liking. Depending on how IPB 4 turns out I might change the entire look of the site again. Of course if that happens, all content will still be here and it wouldn't be anything like the conversion process the site went through from vB. Yes, that was so damn annoying. After browsing their site for about an hour last night it was growing on me. I still don't care much for the gigantic image view but the latest posts seem fine now. On a bigger monitor the large image view isn't nearly as bad. My main issue was that on my laptop, unless I had the browser set for fullscreen (F11) I could only see the image with no text under it, or a cut off image with the title underneath it. It was annoying not being able to see it all at once considering its technically just a single image and one line of text. -
Do you think having giant images as the focal point of a website should be the new standard in website layout? Instead of focusing on the design of the site, everything is completely simplistic with a giant image that fills your screen with an article and comments under it. While its not uncommon for images or a video to proceed an article, these giant images seem a bit distracting to me. If this is the new trend of website design, I'm not really feeling it.. http://kotaku.com/recommended I do like the image annotations, but the overall look seems so basic and there is so much more scrolling now. At least when you click on latest posts it has smaller images to see an overall list of articles: http://kotaku.com/latest On my laptop, my resolution is 720p. Maybe this isn't as bad on a larger resolution? I've found myself holding the CTRL button and mouse scrolling down to get a smaller look. Facebook's new News feed has larger images too now, but not nearly as big as the Gawker sites.

I wouldn't mind seeing them move on from this area. Leave the prison behind and maybe introduce some new characters and situations. I haven't read any of the graphic novel so I have no idea what possible plot lines the show might or might not use from it. Season 3 has been great in terms of action.. all except for a couple episodes ago when it was just Rick and the Governor talking for an hour. I just hope this series doesn't fall back to a season 2 pace. That was soooo slow.
